Texas Roadhouse is another chain I am not ashamed to say I like. Â Their food and good and consistent; their prices are great; their service is quick and attentive. Â What else can we ask for? Â Atmosphere? Â The buckets of peanuts and shells tossed on the floor is quite endearing. Â And those rolls! Â They are worth every tasty, sweet carb! Â I almost always get their ribeye. Â They always get the medium rare just right! Â That is pretty amazing. Â The hubby and I also like their Chicken Critters. Â It is the best version of chicken fingers I have ever met. Â Dessert? nah, we never have any room left for dessert. Â They just look too big, too sweet and too ordinary.
Review Source:It's a chain, what can I say...
Decent mid-sized ribeye, although a little thin. Â That said, it tasted pretty good. Â The sides were OK, as was the salad. Â
For a 'travel' restaurant, where someone from out of town wants a known-commodity meal, this place fits the bill. Â One cool note - they have a 'pay at the table' card reader - once your food arrives, the bill is loaded into the system, and you can pay with a card (and get a receipt) at your leisure.
Best food in town for the price, hands down. Not 5 stars for best quality, but overall dining experience. Yes there are nicer places to eat, but none give you good and consistent quality of food for a great price. Oh and did I mention the rolls and cinnamon butter, if they aren't hot ask for some fresh ones it make a difference. Salads are always good here with I think house made dressings and croutons. You can get good ribs and a steak for a reasonable price and you won't leave hungry. Desserts.........hmmm never had room for dessert here but I guess they can fix you something up if you saved room. Good country cooking for a good price and kids love it. If you are really watching money they have early bird specials for dinner.
Review Source:Gave Mister his choice of places to go tonight that were kids eat free or reduced. He chose Texas Roadhouse for their baby bloomer onions. They claimit is enough for two but three to four people would find it a nice starter. We were seated promptly and a basket of rolls was placed immediately on our table. He loved the sweet dinner rolls with cinnamon butter-almost too much.I had to stop him after is second roll.He also enjoyed some peanuts from the bucket that was on our table.
The baby bloomers were okay. The onions weren't as sweet as most.Mister liked his mini-cheese burgers, also served on the sweet rolls. But he didnt care for the fresh vegies.Too many herbs and spices and overcooked for him.My smothered chicken was okay as well but the green beans were too salty, even for a guy who likes his country green beans salty. The steak fries were good.
The staff was friendly and attentive. Our server filled our beverages consistently and stopped by another couple of times to check on us. Even the restaurant mascot,Andy the armadillo stopped by ,aswell as the manager. Doubt we'll make a special trip to the restaurant but maybe in a pinch.
