Went here recently on a weeknight. They really do a good job making it feel like you've stepped back in time. You have to go through the alley to enter and it's completely underground. I felt like I was sneaking into some private club.
When I was there they had an awesome 1920's style swing band playing which really set the mood. The building itself is impressive with a lot of character and awesome photography everywhere. If you checked in on yelp you got a free drink as well!
Will absolutely go again, probably on a Friday or Saturday night to see this place at its prime.
Very Disappointed! Â My finance' and I booked our rehearsal dinner and party on Dec. 6 with Peter. Â We invited over 150 out-of-town guests. While we were finalizing details and working on the menu, etc., Peter apparently went on vacation for two weeks. Â While he was gone Kim(?) booked the night of our event to someone else. Now we are so stuck. Very disappointed. Not even a call? I think that's a really bad way to run a business.
Review Source:Wedding Reception: Our daughter had her wedding reception here. Cool, unique & interesting venue.
However, during the reception, the manager/owner was rude & disrespectful. When we tried to move another table close to ours for family, since there wasn't enough reserved signs put on the tables, he yelled angrily at us to stop moving it as we were going to scratch his wax floors! Now I had recruited 2 strapping strong men to help me move it, not drag it as I could have dragged it by myself. Â Then when we immediately stopped, he yelled at us to stand still & be quiet as the bridal party was coming in. We knew they were as I'd just been outside 10 min.s earlier. Anyway, the guy was rude, & I was embarrassed. My family & friends who heard him were shocked as well.
