My dad's been coming here for decades, and I'm happy to be his guest whenever I'm home for a visit. Â He orders frog legs, and I go for the perch, both of which are good. Â The drinks are honest, and the rear dining room is much improved now that it's no-smoking. Â The specials are a good value, and the soups are good examples of what homemade soups should be. Â In all, a solid Region restaurant with good food and no attitude.
Review Source:I received a gift certificate for Christmas so I dropped in to check the place out. I have an allergy so I needed to know if they serve anything I can eat. I talked to Mark the owner and told him of my allergy. He was not eager to find out if the specific menu item was something I could eat. He flat out said he did not know because he ordered that item from Canada. I really thought he was going to read the label for me but... I let it go. I then asked about the oil they use and this is when I could tell he was not interested in helping me at all. In truth, he just did not want to sell me a dinner. I assume he's one of those owners who have a regular customer base so he does not feel the need to cater to potential new clients. That's too bad. I left empty handed. Anyone want to buy a gift certificate? Please let me know. It's for sale.
