I found out about this place on Yelp. Â The reviews attest to its greatness and I'm here to chime in to that effect. Â Met a friend here for a drink and we ended up having dinner and dessert if that speaks volumes. Â Speaking of volume, this place is definitely more BAR than restaurant. Â We went on a Sunday evening around 8pm and the place was lively! Â Nevertheless, we were able to find a secluded corner to have a civil conversation amidst the clanking of balls on the pool table and the occasional screams when the home team did something right. Â I'm all about simple food done well. Â This place embodies that ethos. Â I ordered a turkey burger which was juicy, topped with all the right goodies and served with a side of garlic mayonnaise brimming with shredded cheddar cheese in a little gravy boat. Â Seriously?? Â I wanted to slather the whole mini mayo-filled boat on to my burger. Â But I settled for about a third of it. Â The fries were good. Â Not much more to say about that. Â My friend gushed about the macaroni and cheese with bacon. Â She managed to finish slightly before me so I gather she wasn't just being kind. Â Dinner was complemented by a double pint-size beer special or vice versa. Â And flourless chocolate cake (for the win!) Â Lastly, our server was delightful. Â I can tell she enjoyed talking with people and sharing a few quips or jokes here and there, but it was all in good taste and not intrusively done.
