The dishes are healthy with choices like brown rice, but not the tastiest I've had.  The margaritas are full of ice, fyi.

Wahoo had some amazing flavors and textures. It would be a great fit for when your body is craving some whole grains and protein.
Slightly expensive and weird decor, but interesting dining overall.

Last three times I've been at this location has been terrible.   Rice undercooked, mystery items in my food and plain old messing up my order.   Who ever is now managing this location needs to get their shit together.   My son has a terrible allergy to milk.  Like anaphylactic shock bad.  So we ask for them not to include cheese in his meals.  Last three times our tacos show up with cheese in them.  WTF? Is it that hard to do what you are asked.  Three strikes and you're out.  Never going back to that location.

On a recent vacation trip to CO and UT I stopped at this place soon after leaving the Denver Airport. Very original menu, with lots of choices, and a very cool ambiance. The price was good, the food was fresh, and the order taker was very helpful. I had the fish tacos.

I recommend Wahoo's. Wish we had them here in FL.

The employees at this Wahoos go out of their way to make certain that your experience there is a good one. The food is a whole lot better and healthier than Chipotle and it costs about the same.

I love Wahoo's. Their food is always fresh and delicious. Why'd I give three stars? Service and cleanliness. The cashiers never know how to explain the menu - and when you order something word-for-word from the menu, they repeat it back differently, which leads to a lot of miscommunication and them looking at the customers like they're crazy. This has happened more than a handful of times. They need to learn what things are called on the menu! And I have not once sat down to a table that was clean. Crumbs and rice on the seats, sticky tables, etc. If it weren't for the fact that the food is awesome, I probably would go somewhere else.

Alright I am NOT a seafood eater. I'm allergic to shellfish so I normally just stay away from anything that is a mainly seafood restaurant. My dear husband talked me into going here promising I could get something not seafood related. So I got the chicken taco and a carne taco. I was surprised. They tasted pretty good though I'd get the chicken again if I was going to do it. I didn't like my beans but I did like the rice and A lot of the food was super good. It's reasonably priced not cheapest place but definitely worth it

Delicious fish tacos!!!!!!!!!  For apps, the queso and onion rings are really good too.  Service is usually awesome except for one time when the cashier would keep leaving the front to go sit down with a woman in one of the booths...   Which was a problem since they never keep any napkins out so if you want more than the tiny one around your silverware you HAVE to go get some from the front.

First, let me state that Wahoo's is my favorite quick-service restaurant chain.  I loved going to Wahoo's when living in California, and have to go get my fix when we visit family back there.  That being said, I was excited to see Wahoo's in Denver, when travelling through on vacation (we have nothing like it in Missouri).

As I said, I love Wahoo's for its excellent food, served quick, and at reasonable (not cheap, though -this isn't "fast food") prices.  I have never had a fish taco better than I have at Wahoo's, even in high-end restaurants.  The other items on the menu are also very good.

So I gave this Wahoo's 4-stars instead of five -- why?  The reason is that this time the fish seemed a bit over-cooked, a little dry.  This is the first time I noticed this at a Wahoo's and it could be a one time thing, but it is the only time I have ever eaten at this location.  Still it was very good, and I am glad we were able to eat at Wahoo's without even being in California.

How I missed Wahoo's.  I haven't eaten here since...2007?  Far too long.  One thing I noticed about Colorado is how damn Californicated the state is.  CPK, Wahoo's, Del Taco, Ling & Louie's, etc.  The CA cesspool is definitely spreading.  Not necessarily a bad thing.  Wish we could some of those CA restaurants in Dallas.  Love the Cajun, beans, blackened fish, and green burrito sauce.

Way, way over hyped. The foods not bad, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it and I probably won't be back.

Vary good food at a fare price and they have beer.

The food was okay - just normal fast food mexican type fare.

However, the margaritas were not at all what I was expecting.  Apparently made with just hard liquor and apple juice, no lime flavor and just pure booze.  I guess if you just want to get drunk, that will work, but for me they were undrinkable!

The outdoor seating was nice, and dog-friendly.  I would probably not go back though.

I was very surprised by what an excellent eating experience we had at Wahoo's.  The first thing that stood out was the customer service.   We were helped with our order by Nadia, who did a great job suggesting some items and sauces to try.  She also successfully upsold us into a pair of Margaritas.  Nice!

Upon sitting down, we were immediately given water, chips and delicious salsa, quickly followed by our drinks.  The food arrived at our table promptly, and tasted very fresh.  In particular, the green sauce that I had on my enchiladas was very good.

As a nice touch, Nadia stopped by our table to check in and ask us how the selections were working out.  She was very friendly and it was nice to see how much she cared about the customers.

Good locale, chill vibe tasty food and decent prices.  Highly recommended.

Their fish tacos are ok but I really prefer the shrimp tacos.  My favorite thing on the menu is the Banzai Burrito (wet, of course with the verde sauce).  Lots of fresh ingredients and big enough to fill your appetitite.  A great Fresh-Mex type of place.

Hell yes!  IMHO Wahoo's is the best meal for the money in town.  Affordable and tasty.  The staff has been there a long time and is very good.  Nadia the manager always makes a point of saying hello and asks about the kids (a big plus in my book) -- my kids love this place.  I eat there frequently - but the best time is during the summer just before sunset on the patio looking at the entire front range -- killer view.

Do yourself a favor order the Number 2 with Enchiladas - 1 Chicken (Blackened) and 1 just cheese, with green salsa, black beans, and white rice.  My favorite warm lunch period!

I wish I owned this place.

I am going to start off by saying that Wahoo's is one of my favorite chains!  When it was decided that new office was moving to the Northfield area and was going to be a hop, skip and a jump away from Wahoo's I was beyond stoked about it!

I finally stopped in for lunch yesterday.  It was busy, but the line moved pretty quickly.  The guy at the cash register cracked me up laughing and provided excellent service.  I am also giddy as a school girl to find out that Wahoo's now offers brown rice!  I ordered a blackened fish enchilada with rice and beans and my customary Sierra Mist with a metric ton of lime juice squeezed into it... trust me, this is like a super charged, carbonated limeade on crack.  I only ever do this when I go to Wahoo's because they have fresh lime wedges and it is SOOOO delicious!  I also couldn't resist temptation and I got a 99 cent order of chips and queso.

Upon returning to my office with my happy bag of Wahoo's goodness, I tore into it.  The rice and beans were great!  Just as I remembered them as it had been a long time since I had Wahoo's.  The chips and queso were OK.  The cheese started to get hard pretty quickly and the chips were a little greasy.  The real disappointment lied in the enchilada.  The fish was overcooked and dry.  Part of the tortilla was actually hard as a rock.  It resembled a dish that sat under a heat lamp for a long time.

Regardless, I am assuming they were just having a bad day in the kitchen.  I have every intention on returning.  Even if it's just for a limeade on crack and a bowl of rice and beans.

Great vegetarian options and really great staff at this location.  I would highly recomend the spicey white beans as they are delicious.  Also, being diabetic, I apreciate any place that offers brown rice instead of white so I can attempt to manage my blood sugar.  Added bonus, one of the few restaurants that offers Diet Dr. Pepper on fountain.  What can I say, I'm a simple man and these things make me happy.

Cafeteria style, this isn't really Mexican food, I'd call it Cal-Tex Chevy's fusion. I found the tacos to be exceedingly bland, but edible.

Service was very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere sterile and contrived, with stickers posted every where..Not cute of clever, I thought it kind of dumb.

I am surprised by the quality of food at the local chains in Denver.

We needed a quick bite on the way to the airport and my yelp mobile suggested I stop in here.

I will admit the menu was a bit confusing at first, and their guide lost all credibility as it suggested I get a appetizer as step one.

Due to our rush I got two fish tacos, grilled style as I thought the blackened may have had some frying involved.

The tacos were wrapped in two soft corn tortillas, they had some cabbage and some nicely grilled fish, that was not over done. It it rare to get non fried non overcooked fish in a fast food format. The taco it self could have benefited a bit from some dressing but that would sacrifice some of the health factor.

My friend got a fish sandwich that looked quite substantial.

I do what what the "ahi rice" is and if there is ahi in it.

The inside is clean and a California casual with a fax surf theme which I find funny being in the middle of the rockies.

I admit it. I was skeptical of a place specializing in "fish tacos," until one day a co-worker convinced me to try Wahoo's in Stapleton. It happens to be fairly close to our new office, so I tossed aside my skepticism and gave it a go. Much to my surprise, it was delightful. The Wahoo Salad with teriyaki chicken has fast become a favorite lunch item of mine. And, whatever that special salad dressing is that comes with it, it's my opinion they should bottle the stuff and sell in grocery stores. It is delicious!
It was also refreshing to find out that Wahoo's does indeed have other options for those not into the "fish taco" concept.
The people working at this particular location are so friendly and cheery, I can only guess that this must be a pretty good chain to work for amongst the "fast food" industry.
Since my first Wahoo's experience I have been back numerous times. Anotehr favorite item of mine is their queso. It's just pure yumminess.
    I guess I can now proudly say I'm a fan...they made me a believer...Wa-hoo.

My heart will always belong to the O.G. place from SoCal (I shouldn't mention names here!). It's alright. In a pinch. Any more cliches?

I went there yesterday and had two soft shell fish tacos. The fish was grill and the shells where the small soft kind that looked like they where made there. Each came with lettuce, tomatoes and some cilantro.  When we first walked in there was quite a long lime, but I would assume it was just due to the lunch rush. After we got our food there was little to no line. If your in the mood for quick tasty Mexican look no father.

Favorite place to stop when visiting the Northfield/Stapleton area.

Food is consistently good, as is the staff. Sofaking delicious :-)
While I love fish tacos, my favorite thing to get are the chicken taquitos with a side of sour cream.

When Wahoo's opened up in Austin, Texas I frequented the place. We spied this location when hitting up Target last weekend and were oh so disappointed.

The tomatoes are out of control. They are mealy & bland and everything is practically covered with them. Maybe they had been marinating too long but they ruined my meal and gave me the nasty burbs for the rest of the day.

Maybe this was just a one off bad experience but I won't be back anytime soon. :(

I've been meaning to try this place forever, so I stopped in the day I went on vacation, and ya know what?
    Bleh.
The food is the blandest Mexican I've EVER eaten, blander than Taco Bell. And another cardinal sin, no CORONA. Sorry, you must have Corona, I don't care if it's the Coors of Mexico, it's the most drinkable Mexican beer, and if you are a Mexican restaurant, YOU MUST HAVE IT.
But I probably erred in ordering the FISH TACO, maybe steak would've been better. But the name of the place is "WAHOO'S FISH TACOS", so, silly me, figured that was the thing to try.
But first I must explain, I thought this place would have Baja-style fish tacos, which are batter fried pieces of fish in a corn tortilla with an indescribably delicious green sauce. And so far, I've only been able to get these babies IN BAJA. Man, if somebody ever opens a place like that here, I'd eat there every day. And, no, Rubio's doesn't even come close.
Staff didn't impress me much one way or the other, and who cares?
I won't be going back, anyway.

Got 2 fish tacos with sides of cajun white beans and rice.

    Everything=super bland

    Fish tasted like dirt :(

My coworkers got burritos and had to douse them in hotsauce to spice it up and make it edible.

We ordered it to go so it's hard to say much about the service except when the cashier handed me the bags of food her hands were soaking wet, making my hands and the bags soaked, :(

    The chips were good!

i've been to a different Wahoo's location before and remember it being pretty decent, maybe it was the Stapleton filth rubbing off on it?

Wahoos is a great concept.  Cheap, good food, quick friendly service.  The one at Northfield seems even better than the others I've been to.  Very kid friendly, wonderful margaritas, and in the summer you can eat outside watching the sunset over the mountains (with car fumes unfortunately !).

Doug C C must have been unlucky.  I'm recognized by most of the staff, who go out of the way to be helpful, particularly as I'm often there solo with a rampant 4 year old boy....  never had an issue with the staff.

Cant agree more from what Dom.G says about this Wahoo's Fish Tacos located at Northfield.

Love the portion of the food.

Inside, Decor is gnarly!! Cant help it, since I am married to a street luge, "veteran" old school ~ skateboarder who never want to grow up.  With all the snowboard, skateboard decks and surfboard as the display indeed it makes us feel right at home ~ home away from home back in Cali.

Friendly staff indeed!  I cant wait to return for more.. perhaps this time around try their in famous FISH TACOs, that is what they are famous for, right?

You know how there's places that have food that you like to eat, but sometimes you just don't feel like eating that? Or you kinda get tired of going there? I'll never get tired of going to Wahoo's. I feel right at home here. Maybe it's the loud music or the stickers everywhere, or the snowboarding videos playing on the big plasma TVs. I picture my house looking like that....but I'm pretty sure my family wouldn't want to live in a Wahoo's clone. So I'll settle for hanging out here once in a while.

I'm glad they've added this location a little closer to home. I've never had any of the staff here give anything less than than 5 star service and attention.  And I've been to this one maybe a dozen or so times since they opened. Everyone that works here is so laid back and cool. I want to work here.

I've also never had a disappointing meal. Regardless of what I get, the food is always so well presented, in an unintentional, thrown together way. Everything is always the right temp, the flavors are consistent. It's pretty evident that all of the ingredients used are fresh. I always feel like I'm eating healthy when I eat here, although I have no evidence to support that. Either way, I don't really care. One of my favorite places to eat. And in the summer, it's one of my favorite places for the patio/beer/tacos trifecta.

Expect at least $8 for lunch and a soft drink. Up to $14 or so if you get the big stuff with all the add-ons, a drink and huge ass cookie.
If you have kids that are willing to eat more than corn dogs and McDonald's failburgers, this is a great place to get them into eating different food that's a lot better for them than a Crappy Meal. Also, make sure to try the chicken tortilla soup.
