Walsh's is a great place to eat, drink, watch a game and visit with friends.

I have been to Walsh's before for drinks but never food.  This time I specifically went to have their Wednesday burger basket special which has been highly recommended.  The burger is damn good.  I like that you have your choice of cheeses which include pepper jack.  Yum!  The fries are incredible too.  They were prefectly cooked - not too mushy, not too crispy.

We have always had a great service.  The waitress we had this visit was great as well.  She was friendly and efficient.

Now, as for the drink prices. If you know me then you know I am incredibly thrifty when it comes to what I drink.  I am telling you Walsh's has Amanda approved prices.

Excellent prices and yummy food = a very great place to go!

The local watering hole. Oh, how do I love thee? So, they use McGonagall's meat for all the burgers - first road to my heart. They also will spit your sides, so you can get 1/2 French fries (hand cut) 1/2 onion rings - second road to my heart. I just mentioned it but again, the hand cut fries - the third road to my heart. The onion rings that are nice and crunchy - fourth road to my heart. Add in the fact that the burger and side was less than 6 bucks. The Maker's Mark was less than five dollars. The RumChatta was left than five dollars. So life can be really good at Walsh's. Twenty bucks can feed two people with cocktails. I don't think you can do that anywhere else..

I have only been to Walsh's a handful of times, and I have yet to try the food, but what I've seen so far I like.

Walsh's is a great neighborhood bar where friends and family seem to congregate for both special events (someone's 30th birthday on my last visit), or just because it's Friday.  The room, while fairly large, does fill up and there have been times that a seat was nowhere to be found.  The drink prices at Walsh's are very reasonable and, from what I have been told, the burgers are not to be missed.  The staff at Walsh's has always been friendly and attentive.

I do plan to visit  Walsh's soon to find out if the food is as good as they say.  If so, this four stars could possibly become a quick five.

The bacon cheddar burger is legen- "wait for it"  -dary!
Just an honest dive bar, with no pretense of trying to be anything else.
Great place to watch a game too.

One of the best dive bars in the city. The only beers they have on tap are Busch Light and Natural Light.  The bacon cheddar burger is the stuff legends are made of.

I am also amused by the fact that the walls are covered with pictures of athletes and I think the only black one is Willy Mays, who reigns over the restroom.

They also have the most comfortable bar stools and one of those padded bars to rest your arms. You could literally sit there for hours and never want to leave. Believe me, I've done it.
