This is a go-to spot for my friends and I because it has a generous menu and beer offering and great service. Note, Friday nights during the school year can be busy because it seems like the family spot especially during football season. During the summer it is nice to dine on the deck, but I wear my repellent because I'm just a feast for bugs.
My recent trip I had the burger and fries and I agree, I'm surprised it didn't make the cut for Cincinnati Magazine especially after going around and trying many of the 40 burgers (I've had a year).
They have a popcorn machine - sometimes it's good and sometimes it burnt. Can't win'em on the free popcorn!
Everyone needs a place like this in their neighborhood: reliably decent  bar food, friendly service, some tvs for watching sports, and a great deck for kicking back on a nice day. Â
Before the trend of huge craft beer selections swept over our local bar and restaurant scene, the Tavern's beer selection would have been considered very solid. Â It could use some beefing up to catch up with other area spots, but when you're in the mood for a domestic light beer and a burger or a great taco salad, Wooster Tavern delivers.
