As an experienced club-goer I must say, we have to talk. Why if my party bought 3 bottles of liquor, do we have to pay an additional fee for juice refills? I mean let's check bottles to juice ratio, 3:4... 4 small bottles of juice. I never bought bottles and have had to pay for refills but okay. Â Birthday package was decent, $375 for 3 bottles of liquor, champagne, and hookah.
Crowd, way too young for my taste, I was in one of those "interact-with-the-crowd" type moods the other night I went (Saturday) and really couldn't find myself fitting in with these teens. Â Staff was friendly, no complaints there.
Music was alright, everything was danceable. There was a blend of every style of music which is nice.
The look of the spot itself wasn't appealing, just a regular looking spot. Nothing particularly interesting, a little unkept.
I'm the type of person who's naturally high off life, I have sober fun and its the best type of fun in my opinion. The people I went with are fun as well, the fact we all had to get drunk in order to have an awesome night is sort of a kill, don't see myself going back to this spot.
I wanted to check out this place for awhile because they have hookas but I have been a little weary cause every time I walk past it they have loud club like music coming out. Â I don't mind the loud music but not when I want to enjoy hooka. Â Definitely not the place to just hang out and smoke hooka. Â
When I do decide to check it out with a friend, we didn't have plans to dress up nice and do some serious clubbing. Â I was just wearing shorts and a blue shirt. Â Which is not their dress code, but they decided to let us in anyways. Â When we walked in we realized why. Â No body was there and it was almost 11pm at night. Â And when I mean no one I mean we were the only people who weren't employed by the club there. Â
I hate to see any place fail but I don't think they thought everything through. Â I know we are close to Manhattan but that doesn't mean you need to charge Manhattan prices. Â 32 dollars for two stella artois and a hooka is very expensive. Â Don't think I will be going back.
I came to this lovely little spot for a yelp event. The decor is awesome! A lot of black and red. Real trendy like. Nice comfy couches. Cute little seats. What I'm assuming would be VIP had these pretty white drapes in front of it.. really nice.
I can't comment on the typical crowd because i was a yelp elite event so no common folk were in attendance. I had a great time and would assume that the people that plan on coming to this place won't be the riff raff. It has a snazzy inside decor and because it's fairly new hopefully they can keep it a nice spot.
The bar tenders were darling and they also offer hookah here.
I'll definitely be back to see how the crowd at this place gets.
FYI: the women's bathroom had a werid indentation in the floor which allowed a bit of flooding to occur. Quite gross.. but I'm going to cross my fingers and hope they had that repaired since I went.
I am not much familiar with this area, hence my first Elite event brought me here. Â First thing, i noticed was that there appear to be several cool spots in the area, so I'll definitely try to come out more and check some places out.
As for Xio Lounge, it was my first time there and it was quite fun. Â Besides the fact that this was a Yelp Elite event, this place is definitely a good option for people looking for a relaxing and chill time at a lounge. Â From my experience there, the place has a nice decor, which isn't overdone, hence gives it a spacious appearance. Â Definitely loved the red color touch along with a causal seating arrangement upfront with sofas and in the back with a bit more of an intimate arrangement. Â Several flat-screen TVs are up, thus making it a choice for get-together during a sporting event.
Ample varieties of drinks, so I am sure most would be satisfied. Â For the Elite event, three drinks were being offered, the Coco Loso, Bay Breeze (vodka, cranberry juice, and pineapple juice), and the Xio Extravaganza, with Bay Breeze being my preference of the night.
Elvis, the owner of the lounge along with the entire staff are not only friendly but very hospitable. Â the bartenders are beautiful, helpful and friendly, thus making the visit definitely enjoyable, especially if one is sitting at the bar.
Hope this place stays this way....
