I was here some time ago and it was great for a large group. It's a fresh look at the space that they're in, and I can dig the vibe, even if it feels almost a little too "new" (if that makes sense?)
The vegan and vegetarian noms are good, and the beer is obvs plentiful. Service was good, and we had a large group and they handled it well. I'd be back if I come back around that way, or am visiting with a reason to visit that 'hood.
I was thrilled to find not one but two places near my hotel in Louisville with vegan wings! I have to say, the vegan wings in Louisville are pretty awesome. I wish we had more places in DC that served vegan wings. BBQ sauce is one of my favorite things. I had the vegan pulled tempeh sandwich for my entree, and I remember getting to choose a BBQ sauce for my sandwich (unless that was my coworker for her pulled pork). I believer we also split the hummus. Any place when I'm traveling that has delicious vegan options (and brews their own beer) gets mucho accolades - I had no idea that I'd be able to eat so well in Kentucky!
Review Source:My husband didn't like their smoky beer. He tried a bourbon the bartender recommended- surprise it was the most expensive on the menu- but he didn't enjoy that either. The old hickory nachos were good- didn't know it had tons of red onions though. The pork belly on a stick is basically 4 pieces of thick bacon- the sorghum sauce was tasty. The pulled pork and risotto fritters were something new- nice batter, probably wouldn't order again.
