Today I decided to try out Ann Sather on Granville. Â I ordered the cinnamon rolls that I have heard so much about and coffee. Â The cinnamon rolls were wonderful. I am not really a sweet person, but I will say these cinnamon rolls are great. Â They were priced well too, $3.00 for two large rolls. Â The staff was very attentive and every time my coffee got to about halfway, they were there to refill. Â I will definitely go back in the future or just grab some cinnamon rolls to go. Â Also, this place is BYOB! Â Mimosas??
Review Source:Went here for the first time today with a friend who lives in the neighborhood. You seat yourself and it was a little busy, but we found a little corner booth for two. Our server spoke very little English and was hard to understand, but very friendly. My friend ordered the cinnamon rolls and oatmeal and I ordered the avocado delight wrap with cinnamon rolls and fruit. Our server didn't end up actually bringing us our food, it was brought out by a bus boy, which was fine, but for some reason my friend got a fruit cup instead of the oatmeal she ordered. Bus boy apologized and brought her out her oatmeal, which REALLY confused our server for some reason. My wrap was very big and I only ate half. It was more egg than anything else, but the guacamole in the wrap was very flavorful, with ripe avocados, lots of crisp onions, and cilantro. I had a bite of my cinnamon roll, because I was really planning on bringing them home for Boyfriend. Really, REALLY good. Lots of gooey icing and served warm. Fruit cup was okay, kind of dry. My friend's oatmeal was kind of bland, even with the serving of brown sugar they gave on the side. It definitely could have used more. Overall, the food was very average, nothing incredible (except for the cinnamon rolls, those were excellent). Service was non-existent, but the value is pretty amazing. For two of us, it was $20.10 and we had a TON of food. I ended up bringing half of my wrap and three cinnamon rolls home. I would say go for a quick snack and a cup of coffee, nothing too big. I'm willing to give it another shot the next time I'm downtown, maybe it can wow me next time.
