Pete's Pizza

Been waiting years for a place to grab a quick slice in Edgewater. Thrilled when this opened. Service is friendly. Pizza is edible. Does the trick if you're starving and desperate, but if you've got more time and an oven at home, walk down to Dominick's and buy a frozen pizza.

Picked up a slice. Here we go:

Pros: Slices are pretty big, and they actually throw it in the oven for a couple minutes when you order so it's hot and crispy, unlike some other places that just have it sit under a heat lamp and all day. Friendly staff. good location right by Loyola and the Granville Red Line.

Cons: Super greasy, like soak through the plate greasy, not my cup of tea. Also, at $4+ a slice you can get definitely a better deal in the city.

I love Pete's.  Friendly staff, chill environment, delicious pasta (they have amazing daily pasta specials for cheap), and the GELATO.  Mmmmmm, the gelato.  Great neighborhood place.  Avoid going late on Friday and Saturday nights unless you love Loyola freshmen and sophomores (no offense!).
