This Chinese buffet is in our groups lunch rotation. Â The buffet is good, nothing exceptional but solid. Â The nice part is you can get eating right away and still make it back to work on time. Â The work hard to keep the buffet stocked and their system works great. Â One of our group favorites!
Review Source:I've been to worse... but not many places this bad.
You walk in and pay at the register. Then you shuffle over and pick through the 10 or 15 items on the lukewarm steam tables. Food is kinda sad and tired. Room and furniture is kinda sad and tired. Nothing about this place is appetizing.
Probably not going back.
Yesterday I had the most undesirable Chinese food I've had in a while, at the buffet in this shack. Â You see, I have a few food sanctuaries that I usually stick to, including Sichuan, Golden Wok (East St), and Yen Ching (E Washington), but once in a while it's good to taste something in sharp contrast just so I am reminded how good my favorite places are. Â This place served that purpose. Â Most of the buffet items were tasteless, but to its credit, there were plenty of veggies (broccoli is in half of the dishes), and one of the pork dishes tasted good. Â The price point is OK (under $7 for lunch buffet), but I prefer a fresh & tasty take out at Food King (86th) for under $5.
Review Source:My review is for delivery order.
Totally an American taste Chinese Food !
Seriously...
But I didn't mean that its taste not good. Actually, its tasty (I mean the delivery food, not buffet. Â ) . Unlike other American style Chinese Food. They don't use too much sugar and oil for stir-fry.
Love the Tofu w. Veg home style and Kung Pao Chicken here. They also served rice with every dish.
Good for the lazy person who doesn't have time to cook but want enjoy chinese food at home. They use a short time for delivery.
NIce attitude to customers.
Review for takeout only, not the buffet. Â
Forgot to bring my lunch to work and needed something super quick. Â Had a craving for some MSG and my week's worth of sodium so I called BTCR for a take-out order. Â It was ready in less than 10 minutes, and wasn't just scooped up from the buffet because I had it special ordered. Â It hit the spot. Â Standard Chinese place. Â Greasy and yummy!
I don't get all the hate for this place. Â It's a Chinese buffet, people. Â It's called "Best Taste." Â What were you expecting? Â It's not gonna be PF frickin Chang's.
The food is fresh, and they are quick to replenish it, which doesn't always happen at buffets. Â In terms of Chinese buffets, that deserves 4 stars in and of itself. Â And they allow you to take it to go if you don't want to eat in. Â Uhm, awesome? Â If you go after nine, a take out box is only $5 and if they are out of something on the buffet you want, they will bring out more for you. Â This place kind of rocks.
Pretty marginal buffet. One steam table of mostly fried food. I do like the hot and sour soup, though. I always leave here feeling awful because there aren't many healthier options. I usually go home and take a nap afterwards. It's not even that cheap of a place; I'm not sure why we keep going back!
Review Source:Yawn.....Boring and borderline eww. Typical buffet that is super busy for lunch with some very large people. It's a lot of fried, sauced, and unrecognizable pieces of things. I try to pick out mostly vegetables and the meat nuggets that look most like chicken. It's a $6.75 I would rather spend elsewhere.
Review Source:This is just a mediocre typical run of the mill chinese buffett. They are quick to put food out. Lots of mushrooms and broccoli stir fried into everything. It's almost cafeteria style when they get busy mostly around lunch on the weekdays when all the people from the surrounding hospitals, IUPUI, students, and downtown professionals pack the area. Sometimes you will dine with strangers but everyone is in and out pretty quickly. Â There is limited parking since they share a lot with qdoba, when harry met salad, subway, au bon pain, and a few other pizza restaurants surrounding. You pay before you sit down.
Service is quick they refill the buffet pretty fast and the bus boys come and get your dirty plates out of the way as soon as you are done. You serve yourself to the fountain drinks. Dessert ad salad are on a seperate bar but there's plenty of food I usually don't venture that way much. All the food is similar to what you would find anywhere. It's good to go if you can't decide on any 1 thing, like to see what you are eating and like a little of everything. Tipping can't be done on the credit card when you pay I don't think so bring a few dollars in cash if ya wanna leave a tip for the guys clearing your mountains of dishes and silverware. Â
They also sell food by the pound for takeout.
