My home away from home! Love the bartenders, wait staff and the owners are so friendly. One of my favorite things is the style and lighting here. Always a good time!

Kruf and I hit this place last night because we were starving and Dillingers was packed.  I wasn't really expecting much, but this place looked awesome and had an aura of awesome surrounding it.  When we got there it wasn't that crowded, but when we left it was - despite this, it wasn't overly noisy.  Each night is a themed night and so last night was BINGO - free tequila shots to the winner.  Kruf and I had fun playing and drinking our tasty $6 drinks.  Foodwise, we were rocked.  Kruf had the chili tilapia with sweet potato fries, which I tried and they were absolutely amazing!!!  I had a great shrimp caesar salad, which was quite large.  The only thing about the salad I could complain about was the shrimp itself; not cooked well enough and a bit on the "too spiced" side, but still very tasty.

Kruf and I will be coming back here soon.

I liked the layout and they seemed to have a good selection of beers, but I didn't think this place especially stood out.  I didn't get a chance to try the food, however, so maybe I'll be more impressed next time.

Waste of time, money, and beer.   The most awkwardly social bar in astoria.  No following, only a few regs who obviously have no where else to go.

Food, eh.  Blah. Nothing special.  Don't think they've ever tried anything new with the menu since the day they opened.

INEXPERIENCED wait staff.  Each time I'm in there, always a new young kid outta bar school or just a server who is either cluesless, or just doesn't want to be there.  Do they KNO they work in customer service and work on tips?

Swear Ive never seen this before... My gf had a glass of wine, ordered a 2nd, and when the waitress came with the 2nd glass, she took the 1st glass that had a cpl sips left and MARRIED it with the new glass AT THE TABLE in front of us.   Wow.

Oh- and drink prices...whoa!   $9 for a well whiskey???  $10 for a jameson??!!
Insane.  Can have two drinks for that price at Quays or Dominies and have much cooler ppl too.

    Def done with this place.

Everything about this bar was spot on. The atmosphere was perfect... fun alternative rock music was playing, but it wasn't so loud that I had to scream to have a conversation with my date. I walked in and was able to sit at a table immediately, but it seemed that all of the tables were always full with people coming in and out while I was there. There were several TVs, so I could watch the NBA playoff games that night. My waiter was very attentive and helpful, and helped me pick out beers for the beer flight!

I had the wings as an appetizer and the turkey burger with fries (I believe the turkey burger is a summer special), and all were delicious. The wings had a nice sauce with a kick and no breading, which I appreciated. My date had the Blackbird's burger, which he said was delicious. The prices were all reasonable -- I don't remember exactly, but I was pleasantly surprised upon seeing the bill.

It's a little out of the main area of Astoria -- further down on 30th Ave past Broadway. But that way, it doesn't attract crowds!

I'll fill you in on some of the other parts of Blackbird's Bar and Restaurant, but let's be honest, you're reading this because you saw deep fried grilled cheese in the title. Yes, it tastes just as good as it sounds.

    Atmosphere

Blackbird's is one of those neighborhood hangouts where it's clear that mostly everyone knows everyone else, and the bartenders and waitstaff treat customers, both familiar and unfamiliar, as if they were part of their family. The bar/restaurant is rectangular shaped and outfitted in dark colors - reds and exposed brick - that complement a dark wood bar and tables.

    Food

Here's the part you've all been waiting for... deep fried grilled cheese! As soon as I saw this on the menu, I had to order it. You have the choice of adding bacon, tomato or avocado as well. I went with bacon. Since I already was going with a deep fried grilled cheese, I figured I might as well add to the artery clogging goodness.

The grilled cheese came out cut in half with a side of fries. The grilled cheese consisted of two very thick slices of white bread with lots of gooey American cheese and bacon in between. This was all lightly fried completely around. The frying locked in the flavor of the grilled cheese and kept the bread extremely soft. This sandwich was amazingly delicious. Oil from the frying oozed out during each bite and coated my fingers, only reaffirming my thought that my arteries were slowly clogging. After devouring this sandwich, I was stuffed. It's very filling.

    Service

Service at Blackbird's is great. The waitstaff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I have no complaints.

    Value

The deep fried grilled cheese was only about seven dollars. For an enormous grilled cheese and fries, this was one hell of a deal. An incredible value.

    The Verdict

Blackbird's is a quintessential neighborhood hangout and I could easily see myself heading here every Sunday for a few beers and some food. Kicking it up a notch is their deep fried grilled cheese. Twinkies, Oreos and now grilled cheese... you can deep fry anything. Blackbird's is on the right path here. I've never seen this on a menu before and I can't wait to come back and have it again. Blackbird's, I'll see you again very, very soon.

Went here for the first time over St. Patty's weekend and was pleasantly surprised. A friend of mine recommended it to me and I've been up and down Broadway and wanted to try something new and something that wasn't going to be wall to wall frat boys slurring their words and spilling their drinks all over one another and me. And this place was not that.

We entered and located a table after waiting about 5 minutes and were able to sit on stools and listen to the live music, which was awesome, that was playing and comment on the very intoxicated people chanting and running around the bar. But there weren't many of them, which was extremely nice. I really want to check this place out again next weekend just to see what crowd it attracts, because the crowd that was there was a good crowd.

The beer was fairly well priced, 4 dollar Bud Lights and the wine, which my girlfriend and other friend partook of, was well priced as well. I can't discuss the food because we didn't have any but I would be interested to try whatever they had to offer because it looked good and everybody appeared to be eating it.

The bathroom was very tiny which intrigued me because this appeared to indicate that not many people frequent this bar and that they are often not filled to capacity. The service was fast, despite the crowd, and friendly.

I will definitely check this place out again without a date. It seemed like it could be a lot of fun.

I've been here so far 3 times. All with my boyfriend who actually introduced me to this place - and I'm so happy he did. I'm curious if it ever gets crazy packed in here because I have spent time here on 2 Saturday nights and 1 Tuesday and the place is usually kind of quiet and empty.

Don't get me wrong, I love that because it makes for a fun, casual (yet intimate) date spot (or get together with the girls spot!) in which you can actually have a conversation and HEAR your company talk.

They have waitress service here which is sometimes normal speed or kind of slow...the food here is pretty good and standard bar grub as far as selection, quality and taste goes. I've had their cheese quesadilla, fried and chicken tenders and all were good stuff.

Too bad they don't have mozzarella sticks. I really like mozzarella sticks and they're like a 'bar food' staple...

Drinks here are pretty decent - I say decent because their mojitos and "sassy martinis" are tasty but lacking in booze for the most part. Stick with their fantastic beer selection here unless you only like booze-less, fruity drinks. I normally go for an Albita beer or a Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier (a German Hefeweizen beer that Studio Square also carries).

I've never done happy hour here, but each weeknight they do something special and I think Sundays they do a Chicken & Waffle Brunch...I really want to come here for that!

Blackbird's IS a neat bar and probably best for pre-gaming before heading to something else, just sayin'..

I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent at Blackbird's.

Cuisine was very good for bar food. Rangers ice hockey was on TV (no sound). Prices pretty reasonable.

It was not so crowded on a Saturday night, but started filling up as the night went on. I think there was an MMA fight that night so maybe that kept some people away.  Seemed like a neighborhood crowd for the most part.

Also a photo hunt machine, for people who are interested in that.

    I will probably come back.

Also, I'm curious about the unique exterior. It looks like a castle, or a small version of an over-the-top catering hall. I wonder if that was made for Blackbird's or if they inherited it from the previous tenant.

You can't beat the free pint with any late night food order here deal.  When my friends and I came here, I was impressed with the variety on the late night food menu.  We ordered a personal size pizza and guacamole to split.  Both were absolutely delicious.  I probably ate more than I should have at 1am.

At the same time, this bar was definitely not what I expected.  This place has a sports bar feel to it.  There weren't that many people there on a Saturday night, and we were some of the only females in there.  Seems like a good spot for dinner or late night munchies, but wouldn't be an ideal place to go for just drinks.

Food was great, I had the veggie burger.  It was a good twist on a normal black bean with a little, I think, avocado.  The wait staff was very nice but overworked.  I had these punks next to me being way to drunk, it is a bar, and giving the bartender to much grief.

Seems like a good local spot.

    Bacon aficionados rejoice!

If ever you needed a reason to visit Astoria for bacony goodness, Blackbird's offers this on their menu...wait for it...wait...

    The Q18!!!!!!!!!!!
    Blackbird's own 50-50 burger!
Half chopped bacon and half chopped fatty beef, blended to create the burger from Heaven!

Yes, it's as succulent as it sounds. When the bartender asked if I wanted any other toppings I impulsively said bacon. Then my arteries said "stop" and opt for a greasy cheese instead of bacon overkill.

Of course, I requested no bun since I'm on a lo-carb regimen. It's all about making sacrifices!

During my indulgence I said "Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm" so many times that I must have sounded like I was singing that silly 90's song by the Crash Test Dummies.

I like blackbirds mainly because it's a convenient drinking spot. The food is average but they have a decent amount of beers on tap. Went in on a saturday and just missed happy hour (half price wings, 3 dollar buds til 6) but that would have made things a bit better.
The wings were decent. I'm sure they would have been better if they were half the price. We also ordered the steak tidbits too. I have no clue what the dipping sauce was, but it had no taste whatsoever. The steak was kinda fatty with no real taste or juicyness to it. I'd probably stay away from that one in the future.

Happy Mardi Gras! Let's get down to it. Blackbird's has become my (and my loose group of friends) favorite haunt when we are all in the mood to hang out, have a few drinks, share stories and have a good time. Oh yeah, and play Bingo.

Tuesday night is Bingo night at Blackbird's. Rules are simple, pay attention, listen to instructions and if you luck out, there will be prizes. If you are one of the lucky ones, you and your table will win free shots as well as a complimentary Blackbird's T-Shirt. "Tortilla Tom" makes a great MC of the festivities and keeps the lunatics from taking over the asylum during the games (which run about every 15 minutes).

Night was definitely made more enjoyable due to a raucous crowd sitting at an adjacent table, at one point singing and suffering though their misfortune, and on occasion using a few choice words at Tom (who was more than likely good friends or had a good rapport with them). It kept the night loose and fun, as our group had a hard time concentrating on the game at hand through the tears of our laughter. Nothing was meant to offend or be mean, it was more in the form of getting and maintaining laughter from the large group of patrons (who were entertained)

Wednesday night is typically half-off wing and Mason Jar beer night. Good excuse to get out to Blackbird's in the middle of the week for some grub and to imbibe some spirits.

Never overly packed, always inviting (no regulars chasing new people out), always friendly with good food and good times. As for food, I will definitely recommend the sliders and the fried calamari (as well as the Mac and Cheese and Wings)  for those looking for some decent bar food. Some have complained about the wait for food, but it depends on the night. Never had a mistake made with food or had to wait more than 15 minutes for anything (most food comes out at a decent rate, don't expect McDonald's speed, Blackbird's actually cooks their food.)

TV's are scattered around, both behind the bar and along the seating areas. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, making sure you have a good time and come back soon. Fun times had, and will continue to be had at Blackbird's.

Best bar food in Astoria aside from Sweet Afton (a step above the rest).

The place is a little pricey but if you scope out the nights with specials you can save a few bucks. Not the best place to watch a game but definitely worth a visit...good for a date night.

Good place to make your typical watering hole.  There's always a melange of 20 and 30 somethings both in groups and flying solo.  Make sure to grab a pitcher if you are with friends.  The food is of good quality, and you can order pretty late from there bar menu; however, it might take a little while.  Not terribly long, but don't wait until you're super hungry to order.

The atmosphere is nice.  It's light enough to actually see other people, but dark enough to be relaxing.  They have an internet jukebox, so you can pick your favorite jams.

Ending note, not a sports bar.  They have some TVs, but if you want to watch the game, go down to CANZ where they have more TVs and girls dressed like hookers.

This is the WORST PLACE IN ASTORIA TO WATCH FOOTBALL AT!!!  Their service is slower than grass growing (how long does it really take to make a dozen buffalo wings?  did you have to go in the back & kill the chicken?)  They claim to show "all the games", but in reality they only show a few & they do not cater to the home town crowd.

I got there during the 2nd half of the 1pm games to watch the Jets at 4pm and they showed the Falcons and Packers games instead.  The "management" is more like a bunch of fraternity guys who couldn't give a damn.

There are MUCH better places in Astoria to watch a game.  But if you want to sit for a half hour while you wait for your wings, they do have a great Sunday deal: $4.50 for a dozen wings & $3 Bud Lights.  However, you won't be seeing me there!

Stopped in for late lunch this past week.  The place was pretty much empty at 4:30pm.  A nice bright space with a ton of sunlight from all the windows (it's on the corner), and very clean.

The menu is impressive, with its upscale bar food fare.  I ordered the Turkey sandwich with a side salad instead of fries.  Unfortunately, I got fries anyway.  Since we were the ONLY people ordering food at that given time, there is no reason why our server should have effed that up.  But....I kinda really wanted fries anyway.  *shrug*

The turkey sammie was really good.  Lots of Brie and some sort of cranberry relish.  It was well made and gourmet-esque.  My home girl had the roast beef on foccacia with au jus and didn't come up for air.  The fries that I didn't order but secretly wanted anyway were crispy on the outside but soft and hot on the inside - just how I like them.  Only strange thing was that the water tasted funny.  Funny tasting water freaks me out a bit.

A very satisfactory meal, and a solid 3 star first experience, with definite upward potential pending future satisfactory visits!  Blackbird's is now on my Astoria radar.  Next time I'll have to hit up the beers and try some other food!

I've only been here twice, but I love this bar. My wife loves this bar. All 14 people I had come out for my wife's surprise birthday party love this bar.

Its got a great selection of about 12 beers, the prices are reasonable, and they've got a burger that's made up of 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground bacon. And then the wings are-

    "Wait a second, Pauly!"

"What's that, Person Reading My Yelp Review?"

"You can't just casually throw out a beef/bacon burger and then move onto the next thing."

Well, dear reader, yes I can. The burger is good, great even. But very rich. You can't look directly at it, nor should you probably tackle it alone. Anyway, the wings are good too, if not a little over fried.

It's a great place to hang out, the staff is friendly, and most importantly, its right by my apartment. (NOTE: This last point will apply to few other than myself) Even if you're not located in Blackbird's neighborhood, I think you'll find its a great place to hang out and have some drinks with friends.

Came here last night to yelp this mother fucker down.  Mike if you dont know is a crazy crazy son bitch.

Aside being in Queens it was a chill place, didnt eat but the food looked like i wouldnt hate it. As the night went on it got pretty busy, and it was a mixed crowd but everyone was there to have a good time.  The server tried his best to keep up with the busy and the only thing I didnt understand is why they kept breaking out Journey?! at least I think is was journey, I drink alot.... Understatement.......

One of my favorite Astoria spots, and not JUST because I live right around the corner. It looks like an upscale pub, they have a great picture of my boy Dylan in the back. There's lots of seating and TVs and darts which is awesome.

They have lots of good beer on tap and cheap, plus they do drink specials often during the week. The food is decent, nothing amazing but good bar food though a bit more on the expensive side. For awhile they had a really terrible waiter that you literally had to chase around the bar to get him to serve you drinks but I don't think he works there anymore. I've had an awesome waiter there the last several times- funny and charming and very attentive.

The crowd is cool, lots of regulars but they don't make you feel out of place for not being one of them. It's a good neighborhood spot that you don't have to think too much about.

I want to give this bar 3.5 stars. It's a decent pub. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and (sadly) the best beer selection in Astoria other than Sunswick (which is a great beer bar, but all the way by the movie theater, and the service there sucks).  I appreciate the Rogue on tap.

The food is hit or miss. I will say that their mac and cheese is really, really good.

However, I'm glad to give this place 4 stars because 1. it's really close to where I live and 2. brunch is FREAKING AMAZING. All you can eat plus drinks...just fantastic. The pancakes are almost like a funnel cake. I really love that brunch.

Expensive, Food is not very good ( especially for the price) they dont really do Buy backs if you drink a few. The Bartenders arent the greatest nor the nicest but our waitresses were always cool.

the atmosphere is nice however, and they have some good beers on Tap. This is a good place to go if youre just wanting a beer and a nice convo with a friend.

They also have Bingo on Tuesday nights! its pretty fun but they do it every 40 mins so that stinks. If you win, you and your group get a shot and you get a t shirt.

I feel like 4 stars is too few and 5 stars is too many.

so I'm erring on the side of too many because I really like Blackbird's.

I've gone on several occasions (Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays) and I've always had a great time. Great food selections, beer selection, and a very nice selection of bartenders (all pleasant and competent). The prices are great, too.

I do live, like, RIGHT by it, so that doesn't hurt.

I usually go here with gay friends, even though this isn't a gay bar at all, and we never have a bad time. It's a very comfortable crowd of sports fan, dart players, and naked photo hunt afficianados.

In my two months in Astoria, this is my favorite bar yet, and I will certainly frequent it!

I came for Friday's cajun night, which means cheaper Abita beer and Hurricanes and gumbo on the menu.

Our waiter was friendly, but it took forever to get my beer. (My thinking is that they were a bit under staffed that night - or my order was just forgotten.) Also, the only Abita they had was an IPA (not one of my faves). Lastly, my gumbo was small and big on some ingredients and small on others, a bit imbalanced. And it was $8.95.

I'd say this place is not so much a sports bar but, hmm, one step more elegant. There's a jukebox and flat screens in various parts of the bar.

It's a great place for a beer or to hang out with the guys, but I would not come back here to eat.

I cannot stress enough how much I LOVE Blackbirds! It is the perfect bar for drinks after work or a lazy Saturday afternoon. It doesn't try hard to be trendy or have a theme, the bar is long with plenty of stools, there are plenty of tables, and even dart boards in the back. It still has that clean and shiny new feel to it.

The staff is great (Anthony, my favorite waiter, is absolutely adorable) and the bar service is quick. The food service is slow, but the food is pretty darn good. I'm a big fan of the spinach dip and chorizo and mushroom puff, and the regular assortment of bar food is equally fine (cheeseburgers, fries, etc). The beers are great (try the Frank something or another with a monk on the front). I'm a huge fan of the Dunkel.

Blackbirds also does a great job with activities - there is trivia on Thursday, bar bingo on Tuesday, Sunday brunch specials, and I believe a few weekly things as well.

All in all, my Astoria Cheers!

My group of 16 arrived for Sunday brunch. Blackbird's was ready, with a bagel, pastry, lox, and fruit stand already set up. A waiter arrived to take drink orders (included in the price). He also took pancake and waffle orders.

The omelet station by the front door churned out one of the best I've ever had.

The only fruits they had left for their fruit pancakes were bananas. The pancakes were delicious, but I'm not crazy about bananas in them. Why can't they have enough fruit to last till 1pm?

The Yankees were in first place, and it was the beginning of  a four game set with Boston. I yelped sports bars and this one came up, so why not.

We arrived at 630 for a 705 game. I was wearing yankees gear, so that it would be obvious i was there to watch the game. I felt like a big spender so we went with Franzikaner (favorite) and some of the starter beef tips.
Beef tips, well done, on garlic bread, with melted mozzerella. 9.95. Ok, over priced, a little, but no problem i was feeling like a baller and we were hungry.  Not bad.

Heres where I minus a star. God bless these young ladies who  have to waitress at sports bars, but its not rocket science. It took more than 15 minutes to find the yankees game. The first inning was over, after the waitress had to go and get someone else to work the tv.

she comes by after seeing we had finished our beers, and the steak tips. "oh did i mention wings are half off during the game?"

    no
    no you didnt.

7:40 our first order of wings arrive. Not bad, lets get another

8:45 our second order of wings arrive.

    wait.
    really?
    yes.

    In short.
    Beer- good
    Food - good
Wait staff timing - needs improvement.
Granted this is a terrible review because I'm hung over from last night, but i want to make sure if any is interested in this place tonight, make sure you have time to burn.

Small menu with some ok food. We were here early, and the only table ordering food, and I think the chef had to grow the tomatoes to make our dish. Service was nice, but erratic.

Bartender didn't know how to make the drink special, so we had to go without.

Have to come back during the bar-ing hour and readjust my assessment. Otherwise, it was just a boring sports bar with slow food service.

I love the food and the selection of beers at this place. The decor is perfect and the atmosphere is fun and lively. The music is always at just the right volume.

The most interesting menu selection is the portabella mushroom. Try it!

So, what prevents me from giving Blackbirds 5 stars? The service is consistently slow and erratic. I know that our bill would have been a lot higher had the wait staff noticed that our beers were empty.

It's not often that I venture outside of my home borough for anything other than work, Saturday morning footie and Sunday afternoon hockey. Born and bred in Brooklyn*, there's not much to want in my humble South Slope neighborhood. I have cool bars (Sidecar and Draft Barn), good food (um, maybe not so much) and a laundromat that knows my name.

But what I will travel for, and what doesn't exist near me, is a good sports bar. You'd think with all the Park Slope dads, someone would want to just watch the game with wings, but sadly that's not the case.

So it was with much trepidation that I crossed two rivers to get to Blackbird's on a Thursday night for trivia with some friends who were counting on my unrivaled sports and history knowledge to help spur them to victory.**

What I found upon entering Blackbird's is what I've been longing for in South Slope. Nothing fancy, there was nothing about Blackbird's that appeared to be trying too hard. It was comfortable with itself and it's great beers on tap (I highly suggest the Franzeskaner Hefe-Weissen), really, really tasty fries and an assortment of appropriately-priced appetizers.

The rest of the bar is exactly what you'd want and expect -- a long bar down the left side with high-tops on the right, emptying into table seating in the back. There's at least three tv's behind the bar, with plenty more elsewhere and on a Thursday of NCAA Tournament time, all the games were on.

My only complaint was a bit of slow service, and forgetting our food, but my only REAL complaint is that it's not closer to my apartment (or the subway -- it's a good 10 - 15 minute walk from the Steinway stop.)***

    * - Meaning I've been there ten months since moving from Manhattan.

** - We finished third, thanks to my incorrect assertion that Jimmy Carter was the most recent President to get a doctorate after getting out of office and my inability to recognize Boris Badnoff, incorrectly labeling him as Snidely Whiplash. Never play trivia drunk.

*** - Or a 30 minute walk when you start off going the wrong way like I did.

We love Blackbirds. Its within walking distance to our house and its a very welcome addition to the neighborhood. Great food, great drinks, darts, juke box, and a touch screen game on the bar make it awesome. Its a great place to go hang out and have drinks to to have dinner. The only thing I wish is that it had more food selections. What they have is great but more healthy dishes would be good. But for a night when I dont feel like being healthy I would order the fries with this orange sauce they have, I think its like chipotle sauce. Its so good!!
And the staff is friendly too!

So, this is my first Yelp review and its a great place to start. Even though Blackbird's opened less than three months ago, it has already become of my favorite places for dinner in Astoria. The staff is always able and friendly, the beers on tap are varied and delicious and the atmosphere is solid. It is kind of unique to Astoria: think upscale Sports Bar with a touch of bistro. Mix in live music, darts, a beer tasting and upcoming Halloween Costume Contest and you have a fusion of everything classy but easy going.

The food is also pretty great. They have a small collection of both small plates and entrees. I've been there half a dozen times and haven't gone wrong yet. From The Hanger Steak to the Sliders to the delicious veggies choices, its all tasty and worth a try.

So, all in all, big thumbs up.

Was a pleasant surprise. Went there after a dinner down the block with a group group of people I had just met. Had actually walked past the place on my way to the restaurant and thought on the outside it seemed a bit pretentious. The large bay style windows that frame the place on 30th Ave struck me as odd and the fact that it was rather dark inside at 7:50 PM told me it was going to be a tad bit stuffy inside.

Suffice to say I was quite wrong. I didn't sample the food, although the burger smelled amazing - one of the people I was with had one. The wine list was decent, but I honestly didn't look at it much. Instead I sampled from the beer menu, which was a pleasing list. I had a Rogue stout, a bit of a chocolate flavor (nice) and a Coney Island Ale (a bit hoppy, but a nice bitterness to it). They also have the typical beer hall beers and standard wheat beers on tap, plus a small but nice bottled beer list. Additionally, they serve a barley wine, something I've recently discovered and begun to enjoy on occasion. I enjoyed it there and wouldn't hesitate to go back, especially when I'm on that side of Steinway St.

Plus, I got a free hat last night. FREE! A Hat. I needed one for my penguin.

It's a testament to the diversity of Astoria that an American style Bar/Restaurant would stand out this much amongst the crowd.  It's exactly the type of place we've been missing in the community.

Blackbird's offers a sort of American Tapas feel, with small dishes ranging from Seared Tuna Skewers to Sliders to Arugula Salads, all in small portions so you can save some room for the delicious craft beers on tap.  The staff is pleasant and the bar itself exudes a very relaxed vibe.  Great for sitting, drinking and knoshing on some very well done American style food.
So if you need a something different from all the Greek/Italian/Morroccan/Egyptian/Brazilian/Thai/Columbian/Bosnian/Japanese/Venzuelan food that abounds.  Stop by Blackbird's... It's what you crave.
