A buddy and I went. There was a $5 cover which is odd for Wilton Manor, but for strippers I agreed. The place was tiny and pretty much a circle. Drinks were good. The dancers were way better and attractive than Johnny's but they paid us no attention. The dancers gave all their attention to old white men and friends of theirs that were in the place. Very disappointed and I had mad sure I bought plenty of money to tip. Most of the dancers had no rhythm what so ever. Not sure why they were playing awful music to dance to anyway. I also wished the dancers had better clothes to perform in...just underwear and a few g strings were it! No costumes. No jockstraps. No leather. I started to get up there and show these boys how to make that money. But milkshake would have brought too many boys to the yard. That's all!

I went to this bar three times so that I could subjectively give an honest review. The cover charge on weekends is $10. Drinks are expensive. $6. For a coke? Really? Come on! Tonight was a ChiChi LaRue porn star night or something like that. I introduced myself to ChiChi, won't be doing that again. (Rather brusk) 80% of the dancers where chubby or twinks, neither of which would do anything for me., and some of these really have no idea how to dance at all. Most of them are obviously straight, and only would treat you based on how much money you have. (Actually more like how much you'll give them.)i I personally had to tell several to back off since they reeked of cigarette smoke.

The only fun was the porn stars being some eye candy but they looked completely uncomfortable. The service isn't so great either. The bartenders kind of seemed to have an attitude that I didn't want alcohol. (sorry but not all of us drink!)

overpriced, bad drinks, and pushy dancers. I've been going to this bar since 2004 and i've seen it go from the best night out to a place I'll never go back to. to bad

Not too sure what to say. Let me start with the $5 cover charge. Why? Are they in danger of going out of business? Be careful where you order your drink. Main bar you order Stoli but get some rock gut vodka. If you go to the bar in the back they serve the real thing. The most important element to any strip bar would be the dancers. There is no dancing. They need to hire a choreographer to come and teach these guys some moves. They feature a "dancer" at the main stage every few songs. That dancers image is put on a flat screen throughout the bar. But they just stand there and barely move. There is an annoying drag queen that talks loud into a microphone the whole time they are up there. Stop it! It's annoying! I came with a pocket full of money to give but not one dancer inspired me to part with even one dollar. Ok one last bone to pick. There is a very young boy dancing here. And while he may be "legal" he is in need of guidance. The poor thing is wearing white undies that you can see the one dollar bill stuck to his butt through the panties. He is standing by himself near the back and looks like he was forced by someone to be there. So sad.

So for the first time in recent memory, I found out what it was like to have a bar that didn't really want you around unless you were a "regular." It's remarkable--I've been to places that were just crappy to all customers, but to have my nose rubbed in the fact that I obviously wasn't a local honestly caught me by surprise.

So, to be fair, I didn't exactly fit in there. I was less than half the average age of the other customers (I'm guessing most were pushing 80) and it's unlikely that most of the guys there had ever even seen the inside of a gym. That being said, I've got my Amex Platinum and a wad of 20's and I'm looking to tip some strippers--so I should have been right at home there in the only way that matters.

    Apparently not.

Grabbed some food at the "Beefcakes" food-bar they've got attached. The bartender greeted every guy over 60 there by name and made conversation with them--I could barely get him to grab me a beer.

Walked into the strip club--couldn't even get a stripper to make eye-contact with me, but they were crawling all over the elderly gentlemen there like it was the only way to save themselves from the zombie apocalypse. Look, I know younger guys (I'm in my 30's for crissakes, but believe me, I was WAY younger!) tend not to tip as well. But, c'mon, give me a frickin' chance, at least. You might be surprised that I'm worth the time. And trust me, there wasn't that much money in the crowd--wasn't like the parking lot had a Bently, Rolls, Bugatti, or Ferrari sitting there.

Did I mention the drunk, 90-year-old drag queen on stage lip-synching songs that were old during WWII?

So this is a first. Plain unfriendly, nearly hostile bar. I'm sure if you're a local, it's great, however, sure would be tough for me to go through whatever initiation it takes to feel welcome there. To date, Boardwalk has the dubious honor of the worst experience at a gay bar EVER.

Had a bad night here that I don't want to re-live in a Yelp review, but we certainly won't be back.

    Enjoy at your own risk.

The entire theme and draw of Boardwalk is that it is a gay stripper/gay male pole dancer bar. The entire place is covered with strippers and pole dancers, usually clad only in underwear working the crowd in hopes of having their undies stuff with money or the chance to slip into a back room where they provide a private lap dance for $25 dollars. Sometimes the strippers even out number the customers. Most of the patrons come here for that, though I find such a scene annoying. Have I evolved into being an old prude? Don't answer that!

There are basically three gay stripper bars in Fort Lauderdale being the Boardwalk, Johnny's over on Broward and Dudes located beachside on 33rd. Boardwalk generally has a somewhat higher class of stripper along with a greater variety of body types than either of the other two. With so many strippers in Boardwalk and of such variety there is usually a body type to be found that can please just about any eye candy seeking eye. Most of the strippers in Boardwalk appear to be in the more hunk type; early twenty to thirty age groups as opposed to Johnny's which is known to have the twink, just barely legal variety. And Dudes, generally the heavily tattooed mature muscle types who often appear to be bordering on what might be the rough of trash side of the spectrum.

It's difficult for me to rate a place like Boardwalk. I'm not a fan of the place, but that's just me. Boardwalk is popular and has plenty of fans, so it would be unfair to subjectively rate it. It's clean, well run, well organized; offers good stage shows and is an over all orderly, properly run business. For what it is, a gay stripper bar, it is just about as good as it gets; hence my four star rating. Hence for what it is and since it is probably the best around it would be unfair of me to give it less than four stars even if I am not a fan.

Most of the dancers are hot. Also most of them need to wear a c*ck ring. Drinks are expensive $6 for a miller lite. $5 dollar cover. Good eye candy but be aware of the old creeps...

Some girlfriends of mine were in town and we went to a lesbian bar at the beginning of the night. Turnabout being fair play, I suggested we go to Boardwalk to make things even. At the door I was greeted and they were hit with a list of rules and a contract to sign. The rules that I remember were:

    (1) FEMALES are not allowed to touch the dancers.

    (2) There is a two drink minimum (for women only?).

and (3) $20 cover for women.

I understand the desire to maintain the character of the place as a gay strip club, and to keep it from devolving into a regular stop on the bridal shower circuit, but it could have been handled in a way that didn't scream "go away because you have a vagina."

We went elsewhere where my friends wouldn't feel like they were intruding.

To paraphrase my friend JoseLuis, this place is serious! That being said, I don't think you'll actually find JoseLuis in an establishment such as this one. $10 cover, generously poured drinks and on the night we were here there was pretty much 1 stripper/dancer for every patron. No, the place wasn't dead or empty. It was just the opposite - there was that much "talent" here! There are models to meet nearly all tastes and preferences, they even had a few porn stars strutting their stuff and you can get a quick, less than stellar lap dance in a small room with about 6 other lap dance stations (so much for privacy) for $20. I was entertaining some friends from out of town, they wanted to go somewhere fun that had good eye candy, and this place fit the bill. At one point we accidentally stumbled outside to a private birthday party and I was inadvertently fed cake by a transvestite. Hey, there's a first for everything!

Boardwalk, ( http://www.boardwalkbar.… ) a guys strip-bar, located on Andrews Ave, south of 26th Street, is a cute little hangout with a pool-room/game room on one side and a bar-strip club on the other.

Boardwalk has various venues and guests during any given week, but their mainstay are the multitude of strippers featured on any given night. Now, when someone said "less is more", they certainly didn't have Boardwalk in mind. There are strippers everywhere - walking on the bar dripping sweat into your Long-Island Iced Tea, hanging from an overhead bar, dancing on the small front stage, twirling around the floor near the bar. They are literally EVERYWHERE. Often, the number of strippers seem to outnumber the guests (is that a good thing?)

"Big ones, tall ones, short ones, small ones....and a few chubby ones, seriously...." .....One thing that CAN be said for having so many strippers in one small space is that, no matter who you are or what your tastes, you're bound to find a stripper you can appreciate (and appreciation is usually shown by tipping.)

Again, like Dudes bar in the Galt section of town, the main objective of the floor-dancing strippers (other than tips) is to sell a "lap dance" (at $25 a pop, can you blame them?) If this isn't your thing, then let the stripper that's hanging all over you know, he'll stop being so friendly, and will quickly move onto his next attempt.

All being said, it's worth a visit, the crowd and staff sorta friendly, and it all tends to become more tolerable after one or two well mixed drinks.
