This is a great place to go when there is not a Rockies game on. Â I have been during the Rockies and it is packed!!!!! But since it is so so so so large you can usually get a table. Â I went here last night just to grab a bite and it was slow. Â I ordered fried pickles that the waiter forgot to put in so I never got them so I guess I'll have to go back so I can try them sometime. Â The waiter however did get my dinner order right so that is good. Â Had the southwest burger, comes with fresh sliced jalapenos and cheese. Â Burger was very good and freshly made. Â The fries were hot and crispy but me thinks from a bag frozen. Â I had a Wheat beer with a lemon slice it was nice and refreshing and went perfect with my burger. Â After dinner we moved into the bar for another drink, this place is great at showcasing Colorado beers, wine and alcohol. Â Overall it is really a no nonsense kind of place with good food and beer and great for a large group of people. Â If you are from out of town is a good place to experience some local Colorado drinks with out Mile high prices, worth a pop in.
Review Source:I've had Breckenridge Agave Wheat and Vanilla Porter in bottle form back home in Maryland. I was a big fan then and now having tried it fresh from the tap, I'm an even bigger fan now. Really intense flavors that truly pop and go great with food if you choose good pairings. I stopped by as part of the Denver Microbrew Tour and got to sample a handful of Breck's brews. Derek from Breckenridge was our tour guide and he was awesome.
Review Source:If you took every single person that I've met throughout my 28 years on this planet and funneled them inside this Breckenridge Brewery location, I'd be shocked if we all took up 1/16 of the place. Â This place is ginormous. Â Good for groups is an understatement. Â It'd be more accurate to say that it is "good for a small village."
Like any business that is located practically next door to a ball park or stadium, the clientele, bartenders, and servers may just be sports fans and not necessarily craft beer aficionados. Â If you're familiar with Seattle, Breckenridge Brewery is reminiscent of Pyramid or Elysian in the Sodo neighborhood - full of people not necessarily caring about what they're drinking or just there to grab a bite to eat. Â My griping is not to say that Breck doesn't offer good craft beer as I've always enjoyed their Agave Wheat. Â
I guess, really, it's just that Breck is more of a sports bar than a brewery. Â More of a meeting up pre-game/post-game spot than a craft beer destination.
