This is a great place to go when there is not a Rockies game on.  I have been during the Rockies and it is packed!!!!! But since it is so so so so large you can usually get a table.  I went here last night just to grab a bite and it was slow.  I ordered fried pickles that the waiter forgot to put in so I never got them so I guess I'll have to go back so I can try them sometime.  The waiter however did get my dinner order right so that is good.  Had the southwest burger, comes with fresh sliced jalapenos and cheese.  Burger was very good and freshly made.  The fries were hot and crispy but me thinks from a bag frozen.  I had a Wheat beer with a lemon slice it was nice and refreshing and went perfect with my burger.  After dinner we moved into the bar for another drink, this place is great at showcasing Colorado beers, wine and alcohol.  Overall it is really a no nonsense kind of place with good food and beer and great for a large group of people.  If you are from out of town is a good place to experience some local Colorado drinks with out Mile high prices, worth a pop in.

I've had Breckenridge Agave Wheat and Vanilla Porter in bottle form back home in Maryland. I was a big fan then and now having tried it fresh from the tap, I'm an even bigger fan now. Really intense flavors that truly pop and go great with food if you choose good pairings. I stopped by as part of the Denver Microbrew Tour and got to sample a handful of Breck's brews. Derek from Breckenridge was our tour guide and he was awesome.

If you took every single person that I've met throughout my 28 years on this planet and funneled them inside this Breckenridge Brewery location, I'd be shocked if we all took up 1/16 of the place.  This place is ginormous.  Good for groups is an understatement.  It'd be more accurate to say that it is "good for a small village."

Like any business that is located practically next door to a ball park or stadium, the clientele, bartenders, and servers may just be sports fans and not necessarily craft beer aficionados.  If you're familiar with Seattle, Breckenridge Brewery is reminiscent of Pyramid or Elysian in the Sodo neighborhood - full of people not necessarily caring about what they're drinking or just there to grab a bite to eat.  My griping is not to say that Breck doesn't offer good craft beer as I've always enjoyed their Agave Wheat.

I guess, really, it's just that Breck is more of a sports bar than a brewery.  More of a meeting up pre-game/post-game spot than a craft beer destination.

This place was really chill. Didn't get a chance to try their Bull Testical Beer though, they were all out. You have to try their L shaped pool table, yes L shaped! It's really interesting.

Great craft beer selection, good food, very reasonable prices... decent place to watch sports, which is always a big deal for me. Great location downtown next to Coors Field. Can't think of any negative things to stay about this place --- it's classic Colorado and a pioneer in the "craft" beer / brewery movement.

The beer is good, the food is pretty good however the service could be better. There are beers and wines from multiple breweries so it is not exclusively Breckenridge anymore.

I've eaten here numerous times for lunch and the food has been good every time.  I've had the ribs, fish and chips, bangers and mashers and carnitas.  I recommend all of them for hearty pub fare.  I find the prices reasonable for the quantity and quality of food served.  The service has been good, although it has been pretty empty when I was there.  I can't comment on their beer since I wasn't drinking.  It has a nice open atmosphere.

This place is now "Colorado Craft" instead of "Ballpark" but whatever...all that really means is that they now have other local (and national) handles instead of just Breck & Wynkoop beers. Hooray for all around beer goodness.

Recently, I've stopped in for lunch here a few times and have enjoyed each visit. They have a great salad option for lunch, or sandwiches, or soup, whatever you please. Plus, I tried the sweet potato fries and they were delicious! I love finding great sweet potato fries all over town and this certainly is a spot to add to that list.

The space is huge and would be great for large parties or before a Rockies game, as I mentioned in my previous review. The service is nice, too.

The 471 IPA is worth the walk alone. Hoping to find it somewhere closer to Ohio! The bartenders were nice, but one would help us pick out a beer and the other wanted to just get to the next patron.

Both an eatery and a brewhouse I frequent because I love their brews on draft.  And not just Breck's brews; BB also has many other Colorado microbreweries up to try, as well.

They have a pretty tasty menu to offer coupled with a large seating area.  I usually don't go during Baseball games or anything, but I find we don't need to wait long before getting seating.

My only mash on this spot is that the beers are a little pricey.  But the beers taste like heaven.  Go for the Thunder Stout if you like dark beers...this one will rock your world 3x over.

And make sure you ask your host for some free stickers.  They'll give you plenty.

I'm almost exclusively a Bloody Mary drinker these days (not much of a booze fan, but those always make my tastebuds happy), but I got something here that I haven't had in years, and they served up a pleasant punch. The interior here is pretty cool. I love the layout and design, but that's just the architecture/CAD geek in me speaking. I'd definitely go back.

I'm not a huge fan of the Lodo location, but I do love the one on Kalamath (and of course, the one in Breckenridge)! The food is pretty good, but the beer is what's best. However, good luck trying to get a drink at the bar when it's busy. I have waited 20+ minutes before getting anyone's attention on numerous occasions. In all fairness, it gets crazy busy before and after baseball games, and during certain downtown pub crawls. It's great for out of towners and the Colorado Rockies crowd, but not necessarily a neighborhood favorite.

This place is now called Breckenridge Colorado Craft, technically.  They doubled their taps, and updated the menu - which was a HUGE improvement in my opinion!  I went a couple weeks ago with the hubby and a friend, and we all had a great time.  All their new beers on tap were aces, and I love that they now feature brews from lots of other microbreweries in the area, and not just their own.

I had the pork chops, which came with grilled apples and mashed sweet potatoes.  The chops were pretty tasty, especially with the apples, but those mashed sweet potatoes were downright awesome.  I do think the dish was screaming for some green beans or other fresh veggies - to make it more of a well-rounded meal.  My mouth was craving veggies when we left.

Hubby got the cubano sandwich and the friend got the bangers and mash.  They both really enjoyed their dish, but I thought the bangers and mash was pretty inventive with its cabbage and variety of spicy mustards.

I liked this place before - pretty solid standby for picky eaters or large groups - but I think I like it even more now.

MMMMmmmm... Tasty Beer. Good service. Good pub fare. Nothing wrong here!

The beer is really good, and I like the way you are not forced to ONLY buy their stuff. Their brew is great, but sometimes I want something else! We've had good wine with dinner too...

It is the kind of place where you will not leave hungry. It's kinda pricey, but you will have lunch tomorrow too. I live a block away, and if someone is visiting and wants a close solid meal and I want them to have local beer, I will bring them here.

    Cheers

Like beer? The maybe you should stop by here. They have a lot of it in a variety of styles.

Decent food, but you're here for libations, not food. That being said, it won't kill ya to try one of their burgers. The place is huge, so your service may suffer just a bit if you're in the back and the place is packed (like after a baseball game).

I usually go here, before a Rockies game. Coors Field is righ accross the street. But after seeing it before games. I thought why not through out the year. Food is awesome. I dont drink alcohol, but they make a great "Arnold Palmer" my favorite drink. The owner and stff desere a huge praise for the service.

Good beer for the most part. Food was just a little better than ok.
    471 IPA is fucking rockin!
Now after reviewing over two months ago I realize that their beer is really wonderful but their food really sucks ass.  Just another micro brewery that has let success go to its head and let their food deteriorate into lousy shittyness!!
I give them three stars only because their beer is rockin!!

It's an ale house. Same offerings, as one would expect, as what comes out of the Kalamath St. brewery. This place gets packed after a Rockies game. Service, not during games, is about what I would expect for a large restaurant in a downtown area. The servers here are not the most beer knowledgeable, and that is a major faux paus of any place that calls itself a brewery (or even an ale house).

Nice.  Great stout and the nachos were fantastic.  Atmosphere and design is fun and sporty and located across from the baseball stadium.

Three stars only cause of the beer. We ordered some nachos and they were disgusting, so much cheese there wasn't one crispy chip on the plate. Everything was soggy and nasty. We also had some hot wings but for the price you don't get very much and I have way better. I'll probably be back for beer but not for the food or service.

First off, the beer is delicious. There's nothing quite like a Summerbright in the sweltering heat of a Denver summer.

We were greeted very rudely by the hostess. We asked for a table and she told us to go sit in the bar, which was loud and rowdy.

Food was decent, though the menu wasn't incredibly exciting. I split the carnitas plate, which was tasty and had a lot of delicious pieces (rice, green chile, guac).

I'd come back if I was in the neighborhood, but wouldn't go out of my way.

Breck Brewery is an overall decent place, but doesnt quite have that unique character I look for in a brewery.

The beers are good, but nothing really stands out to me. Agave Wheat and Avalanche are two of the better ones. The food here is pretty good though. I have had the Adobo Chicken sandwich and also a few various appetizers over the course of a couple visits. All great stuff! Unfortunately the service is a bit slow..on multiple occasions I have experienced this. There has also been trouble with splitting the checks for a group. This is odd considering the place is HUGE (its in a really cool old bulding) and has quite a bit of large tables.

All in all its a place worth checking if you are in the area..especially if you want some craft brews and food. Most of the other breweries in the area dont serve food (though they have food trucks outside sometimes).

I visited the LoDo location of the Breckenridge Brewery on 07/04/2012 and I was a  'lil apprehensive about it being a Holiday yet myself and my b/f were seated promptly by Joshua, and that's where our service came to a halt.

Joshua was also our waiter and he was pleasant enough taking our order, but that's when our service went downhill. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, and I couldn't figure out why our table was being overlooked time and time again.

I ordered the California BLT burger w/ sweet potato fries and my b/f ordered the appetizer of smoked sausage and cheese plate. We enjoyed our food but 1) Joshua FAILED at telling us that the Happy Hour prices were for Breckenridge Brewery beers only and my b/f had 2 Upslope Brewing company lagers, which he told me were good. I don't really care for beer, so I had 2 well Vodka 'n soda waters, because Joshua explained the Happy Hour specials as:  1/2 price beers and $1 off wines and well drinks.

When the bill arrived I realized that my drinks were $5. each, which I thought was excessive for a well drink. I asked Joshua if I was getting the Happy Hour price for my drinks and he told me: 'Yep, the well drinks are usually $6.' That'll be the last time that I go to a Brew Pub for a mixed drink. That's totally excessive for a shot of Skol or similar sub-par vodka.  2) Joshua cleared my b/f's plate way before he was finished eating. He didn't ask: 'Are you finished / done with yours?' and 3) when both of our plates had been taken away, it literally took him 15 minutes to bring our bill and I was paying with my credit card, so it took me just seconds to look at the bill and give it back to him to be rung up.

We waited and waited again (and I typically don't mind if I know that the restaurant is packed with people) BUT it was completely empty, there was literally several other tables that had people at them.

I finally just gave up waiting because I had plans for the afternoon / evening and I walked to the bar and the bartender was extremely prompt, as he could probably tell that I was annoyed. I informed the bartender that I had been waiting and I really just wanted my credit card rung up for my bill. He did that for me and I signed my receipt and left it @ the bar.

Ideally, I should've eaten in the bar because the bartender was way more attentive and 'on the ball' re: serving his customers. Whereas Joshua seemed inattentive, spaced out, perhaps hung-over or something..

Overall, I would give the food 3 stars because it was pretty good. I would give Joshua's service NO stars. So, to even out my stars review if I could give 1  1/2 stars, I would. However, I think I'll give the LoDo Breckenridge Brewery 1 star.

I will NOT be returning to the LoDo location of the Breckenridge Brewery for their sub-par service and over priced Skol vodka drinks..

I was in Denver for a couple of nights while driving my car across the country and decided to explore the brewing companies and bars around my hotel, which was in the LoDo area. Both Breckenridge and The Great Divide were recommended to me by yelpers and I was eager to check them out. Unfortunately, I was only able to make it to Breckenridge becasue The Great Divide closed too early and I couldn't make there by the time I had finished dinner. In the end I think Breckenridge itself delivered all I was looking for.

I went by on a Thursday night so the place was relatively empty for its size, but there were several small groups around the bar. The bartender, "Big Mike", was friendly and attentive and I had some good conversation with a couple older guys who were doing their own tour of the brewing companies in the area. The place had a mainstream brewery feel, but in a good way. Everything was well put together and clean and made for a nice experience.

I started with the "Breckenridge Flight" which offered four of Breckenridge's maltier brews ranging from light to dark. These included the 471 IPA, Avalanche Amber, Ballpark Brown, and their Vanilla Porter. I tend not to be a fan of light beers, but the 471 and Avalanche were good in their own right. The Vanilla Porter was a dark beer with chocolate and vanilla flavors and was really tasty. However, it is rather heavy and sweet and I don't think I would've enjoyed it as much at the end of a full pint - the flight-sized sampler glass was perfect. My favorite was the Ballpark Brown which is a medium dark beer. I ended up having several rounds of the Ballpark after the flight.

I can't comment on how Breckenridge compares to the number of other breweries in the area, but all in all it's highly recommended.

Half a block from Coors FIeld, The Breckenridge Brewery is a great place to "pre-game." Great beer and brewery style food. Friendly service.

Breckenridge Brewery was great! The servers were super friendly and the burgers were AAAmazing! The BBQ sauce that came with out chicken strip appetizer was also very good and it seemed that the brewery added their own flair to a couple of the sauces we tried, which was great.

We just happen to live about a block away and this was a nice little jewel to find tucked behind the building surrounding it. Not to say that it's hard to find, just not easy to see from our perspective. Definitely check it out! =D

Hmmmm, this place is interesting. Stopped by here last weekend while showing out of towners all that Denver has to offer (i.e. beer) and it was alright but I wasn't blown out of the water. My homegirl Siri led us here and I didn't realize it was right in LoDo across the street from Coors Field. We went during the game so it was pretty slow but as the Rockies continued to strike out, the crowd grew and grew inside.

We sat at one of the tables and the server was nice but we soon learned that they don't do flights of beers on game days---boo! To make up for it they do do tasters of Breck beers so that was a little comforting and I dig a few of heir beers so tasters it was then move onto the big league of pints. The beer was yummy but the vibe of this place was just off, it didn't feel inviting like other breweries in the area and kind of without soul. Just weird.

A few fun facts about this place.

    1. Although it says Breckenridge Brewery on the sign, you're in LoDo.  In fact right across from Coors Field of all places.

    2.  This place is packed before and after Rockies games ... You can walk 2 minutes and be in the stadium.

If you're not afraid of big crowds and enjoy good beer, check this place out.  For darks, the oatmeal stout and vanilla porter and very tasty.  I also enjoy the agave wheat when I'm feeling a little lighter.  This place makes good beer and you're not too far from the source.  The food is typical bar food, I've never been disappointed but never blown away either.  Drop by before or after the game and try a draft beer, you'll be glad you did.

The beer is good. Thunder stout is the oatmeal stout on nitro. The 471 IPA is hoppyness I'd say.

It's game night and they don't serve samplers so I'm stuck with pints. Oh the bad luck ;-)

This place reminds me of a ski lodge. Makes sense for the name. There is no brewing paraphernalia at this location. It is a fairly large restaurant with a bar. So my mission here in denver is to drink great beer and eat good food at as many breweries as possible.

Ok, I had the ribs and they were tender falling off the bone good that rivals me neighbors.  These were rubbed ribbs with Just a touch of spice. Served with sweet corn tamale. Good, eh?

These ribs were almost the way I like them.  I would use less bbq sauce and a bit more spicy.

Their score reflects it not being a brewery (this local), great beer, and good food.  Tonight I'd say my mission was still accomplished even with a small technicality.

Touring Denver aimlessly, wanting to do a gratuitous walk around Coors Field, I thought I would duck into Breckenridge for a brew.

I agree with the others on Yelp that this place is a little hollow.  Granted, it was the baseball off season and I can imagine that one game day, this play is packed with a bunch of black and purple.  But on this February Friday night, the lack of heads and cheesy gift shop was a bit more obvious.

The food was typical pub grub and the beer was your average micro affair.

1 point for brewing their own beer
1 point for having a special pint/jim beam shot for a few bucks

All in all, Breckenridge is an ____insert your downtown brewery here _____ type of establishment.  Hope to check it out on game some day....

    Oh, and GO GIANTS!

Do you know what happens when a bar golf group meets up with a birthday party where everyone has to wear an animal costume?

    Would you like to?

Especially when to get an eagle in bar golf your group must do a lap while riding a pool cue?

Particularly when the place doesn't have a pool table?

You get girls in golf outfits riding guys in chicken outfits over and over and over again.

It's pretty bad ass.  I highly recommend it.

Anyway, Breck Brewery is a nice joint, they've got great beers and solid food.

This place was a huge disappointment. Their beer is good, but this place feels like a corporate sports bar, which is pretty much what it is.

Really, this is just a place for the baseball crowds from Coors Field to pack themselves in and load up on, admittedly good, beer and fried cheese before a game, so if that's you, enjoy yourself.

If you're looking for an intimate brewery setting, this is not it.

Grab a six pack of the Vanilla Porter at the store and enjoy it is your hotel room. It will be less depressing than sitting at this bar/gift shop.

Cavernous interior -- ready for ballpark crowds (Coors Field is across the street), but without which, zero atmosphere.  The place smelled like restroom air freshener.  Nondescript warehouse-y decor with standard-issue Applebee's seating.  Plastic water cups, beat-up restroom.  Some TVs of varying quality around.

The burgers and fries were decent; luckily I finished eating those before I noticed the eyelash under my pickle wedge.  The nitro stout was very tasty...

Service was average-to-below.  Generally a very down-market experience.  There are lots of brewpubs in LoDo; find a different one.

Breckenridge Brew Pub was one of my favorite parts about my recent trip to Colorado.  The beer is awesome.  I had the Pandora's Bock and then got a flight of all the beers on tap.  I don't like super hoppy beers, so the IPA wasn'y my favorite.  However, none of the samples were bad.  They all were unique in flavor and had great qualities about them. Along with Pandora's Bock, the amber and the wheat beer were my favorites.

For dinner we split the chips and guacamole, sausage and cheese platter, and the pork carnitas.  The guacamole tasted fresh and awesome.  The sausage and cheese platter was great.  I love that they make the dipping sauces with their beer.  Very unique and tasty.  The carnitas were also good.  Very tender and flavorful.

The also have big TVs plastered everywhere, so you can catch the game.

Great service.  Great food.  Great beer.  Great environment.  What more could you want.

We had several items come to our table prepared incorrectly, but our server handled all the mishaps admirably.  We weren't even going to tell him about the last one (wrong brownie for our sundae), but he asked us specifically about the brownie.  We felt sorry for the guy.

The lamb burger was very good, and I'd recommend it.  I don't remember any of the rest of the food being very special.  The beers were also not very exciting.

What I had?  Ale-Battered Fish (Cod fillets dipped in our Pale Ale Batter then deep fried. Had garden salad, creamy cole slaw and roasted poblano tartar sauce)

Food review:  I get a lot of crap for the reason I really like coming here but I can't help it.  The number one reason to come to this breckenridge brewery is for their amazing creamy coleslaw!  I don't know what it is but red onions in your standard creamy coleslaw is such an amazing combination.  Yumm!  Anyway, the fish "that comes with" the coleslaw is pretty good as well.

    Service? No complaints

I had doubts about Breckenridge Brewery both before going and when I first walked into this bar.  I'd only had their vanilla porter before, and I'd found the vanilla taste to be overpowering.  I didn't have much hope for their other beers, and I didn't have much hope for the bar itself, either.  Warehouse.  It's got to be big with the ballpark right across the street, but the warehouse bar is rarely going to come through.

My Denver friends were insistent, though, and I ended up being very happily proven wrong.  Unless I'm in an Irish pub with a good Guinness tap and bartender at hand, I tend to sample different beers when I'm out.  Breckenridge made that really easy, as you have the option of ordering a smaller size glass--I think it was ten ounces.  This is a nice route for sampling their many beers without getting completely out of hand.  Eventually I managed to do this anyway, though.

Excellent service, and a medium rare bison burger for dinner, because it seemed like the right thing to order.

A small list of things to know about Breckenridge Brewery:

    1. The beer is good
    2. They'll give you shots of Leopold Bros whiskey. (This is delicious if you didn't know.)
3.It is a really big space. I mean huge. So this means it can be good if you have a large group.
    4. Somehow it still manages to get overwhelmingly crowded.
    5. They serve food which is nice to soak up all that booze.
    6. The have one of those arcade games where you can choose from a myriad of old school games. Don't get fronted by the Ms. Pac-Man like I did. It's the slow version. Boo.

All in all I think Breck Brewery is an okay spot just like the 3 star rating denotes, but I'm never in a rush to hang out here.
