Went to Brickhouse with my husband last night; overall, I was impressed.
We began by ordering the Summer Buzz (me) and the Anniversary (him) - both very tasty! The Summer Buzz has a hint of honey to balance the hops, and indeed leaves one with a bit of a buzz. Anniversary is light (but not too light) and tasty.
Hubs ordered his favorite meal of all time - plain burger and fries. One can get the burger marinated (in what, I forget) or seasoned with salt and pepper - or naked, as Hubs did. Cooked to order, meat was of a good quality. The thick-cut  fries were sprinkled with some seasoning salt and fried to just the right doneness.
I ordered a wrap - marinated steak, gorgonzola, onions, lettuce, tomato. It also comes with some Cajun mayo, which I had on the side. The thing was huge & a bit unwieldy, so I ended up deconstructing it. The steak was done to order and the ingredients melded well. My side - steamed broccoli - was tasty enough.
I'm not sure we'd specifically schlep to Patchogue for it, but we'll certainly return if we're in the area.
Before I even made it into this place I was brutally attacked by the doorman. Then he smashed my cellphone after I took a video of him to show to the police. I hadn't even had a single beer. I was just there to pick up some money from my friend who was right inside the door.
What a nightmare.
