At one time this place was up there as a must visit for drinks and food. It has definitely gone downhill since my last visit.  Food was terrible (had the shrimp tacos: tortilla was old, tried eating just the inside of it but it tasted like taco packet seasoning overload) the fries tasted like the oil had not been changed in forever.  Plus the bartender threw a bleach soaked rag down right next to us and water splashed not only on my arm but my food.  The guy didnt say a word until we made a comment.  Really disappointed.  Wont return.

AWFUL!  Don't bother........been here a few times, nothing great, but you figure in the summer time its nice b/c its on the water.  Well, thats about it.  They added this floating barge called the Barefoot Princess........well make sure your feet take you elsewhere!  Went there last night b/c it was a beautiful night, keep in mind, its a Tuesday night, NOT crowded whatsoever.  Weekends, different story, but this particular evening, its not busy at all.  We are seated upstairs, outside on the floating barge.  View is of a few cute ducks and a swan, and the train, but the end of the swamp is here........yuck!  We say "whatever, its a nice night, just don't look down and lets enjoy a nice dinner"......yeah right!!!  Waited over 20 minutes just for a waiter to come over and take a drink order, then it takes another 15 minutes for said drinks to arrive.  We then place our dinner order and waited OVER AN HOUR and still no dinner!  We ask where dinner is and the nasty maitre de says, well did you get salad?  I looked at her, like are you kidding?  What a sarcastic lady.  She was not helpful at all.  Finally, the waiter comes back and apologizes and  says "dessert is the house"........like seriously?  Who is thinking about staying a minute longer at this dump?  Who wants dessert when you haven't even had your dinner yet?  10 minutes later, dinner finally arrives.  HA!!  We order steamed lobsters..........how can you screw that up, right?  Well, they did and it was awful!  The meat was so dry and brown and just disgusting.  needless to say, not edible whatsoever.  We told them to take the food away and the waiter came over and did apologize again, and said they took everything off the bill. Fine, great, get me out of here!  As we are walking out, hungry, frustrated and I'm almost in tears, the nasty maitre de comes over one last time and says, "Sir, your bill".........we turn around and are like, "what bill"???  She says......for the drinks!!!!  Again, nasty and sarcastic, this woman should NOT have this job.  After an hour and a half, no dinner, beyond awful service, this woman wants to stick us with a bill for two drinks that we didn't even finish!!  We say, "the waiter said everything was taken off the bill" and walked out.  There are plenty of other restaurants in Patchogue Village and on the water that are better, cross this off your list...........it stinks!!!!!!!!

On the water, mediocre food....

We have not had dinner here recently but have been here many times. Food is always just okay, nothing special. We come because it's a boating destination.

The only reason we return here is for the water accessibility. It is at the north end of Patchogue River and we can arrive by boat. The view from the upper level boat house is very nice and perfect for socializing over a drink. The food is not great although on this last visit, my husband and I shared the Coconut Shrimp appetizer and it was cooked perfectly. Our friend had the seafood salad plate and the salads were heavy on the mayonaise.

After a drink or two and a light snack, it's back on the boat to finish our Great South Bay cruise. Not terrible, just not a special destination. If I didn't go by boat, I would not make a special trip by car. There are too many great restaurants in the area.

As others have said, I wish I could give it a more favorable rating!
