We stopped in here on a Sunday night before a show at the Riviera. I was scouring Yelp for places to eat nearby, and Caravan sounded like the best bet.

We started with the hummus, and they serve complimentary naan bread (baked right in front of you in the oven at the bar) and vegetables. The hummus was really good, and the naan was great too. For my entree I had the chicken breast kebabs with dill rice, and the boy had lamb. The chicken was great, very juicy & cooked well... I also really enjoyed the dill rice. I can't comment on the lamb as I'm still not ready to eat things that go "baa", but it seemed like it was a hit.

Our server was nice and attentive. The portions were way bigger than I expected for the price... if I hadn't have been going to a concert after dinner, I definitely would have taken the leftovers for lunch the next day. Overall it was a great experience & I was pleasantly surprised! A nice little gem in Uptown, definitely check it out.

My friend and I had always wanted to try this place and we used the http://www.gdine.com experience. It was fantastic. The menu had many good options, the portions were very ample. We split the appetizer, each had our own entree, then split the dessert choice. I actually had leftovers. We also used the "Request a Table" tab due to no reservations being available at the time we wanted. The gDine concierge emailed me back promptly and found us a table. The staff of the restaurant were courteous and were at the table an appropriate amount of time. I would recommend this place to all my friends who like middle eastern food. The only sadness I felt is that we were leaving just as they were about to have live music.

A definite hidden gem in Edgewater. The decor on the outside and inside are unique and different. The staff very attentive and the food, although I would not say is amazing, it is very good. The place has been around for a year now and still it seems as if it just opened. The place has its nights where there are only a few occupied tables and when there is a decent amount of people. But never a spot that I would say has gotten packed.

My only request for the location would be to create a more up beat experience. The music has very low, slow & somber feel to it. If your looking for a very quite place to have dinner.. this is it. But for me, i prefer a lively ambiance. I know the restaurant might want to create a romantic setting, but the dim lights and cozy plush seating divided by either class or curtains create the mood on its own. I feel that a Persian restaurant that boasts authentic food, should also provide an more authentic atmosphere and have Persian music in the background.

The place has a DJ booth and Fri nights at 10p and Saturday nights at 11p they have a live band (Johnny Bandolero) who I am dying to come out and see. I've heard nothing but god things about this group. I think if the band starts a little earlier or if they add an earlier show... say a belly dancer for example. The restaurant will find more people at the doorstep and consecutive packed nights.

All in all, its a place that I would definitely come back to and that I would recommend more often if the ambiance where to have its spirits lifted up a bit.
