Salmon tartar was undercooked and really fishy tasting. Needed more time to marinate and cook. We got the Thursday special that included one piece of shrimp and the rest we just left alone cause again it was way too fishy tasting. The service was fine and so was the decor. Will not be going back.
Review Source:Delicious food and great atmosphere.
Another couple dined with us  here last night and each dish was amazing especially the beef short ribs I had and the half roasted chicken.
Joseph, the waiter, was attentive but not intrusive and was passionate about the food and wine. We got the cool back patio exclusive table and the ambiance (and company we were with) made for a special night.
The other couple we were with is by far the two pickiest eaters I know and we all devoured every single dish. None of us are huge portion eaters so it was funny to see us all clear our plates.
A huge plus is it is at the end of my street so if you want a few extra glasses of wine, you can walk home. My only piece of constructive criticism is there is no Cab wine choice. Â I realize the need for the French atmosphere, but my beef was cooked in a red wine sauce and the cab would have been the icing on the cake to pair with it. I had another dry red, but I wanted a more oakey/earthy cab to pair with it.
We will definitely be back!
I am on the fence with this place.
The first time I went was for dinner. Â I had the burger and it was just ok. Not ridiculously good or anything. Â Salmon tartare was way too fishy, I don't even think we finished it. The chocolate cake was excellent, however.
The next time I went for brunch. Â Loved that there was absolutely no wait on a Sunday, so that's a plus. Â Plenty of street parking. Coffee was smooth.
I was excited to try their florentine benedict, but was confused by their version. Â I don't know if it was a kitchen mistake or something, but the english muffin was flavored, like a cinnamon flavor or something. Â It did NOT go well with the benedict. I had my boyfriend take a bite of just the english muffin in case I was going crazy, and he said it was a sweet muffin. Â If that's normal, then the dish was awful. If it was a mistake, then I'd be willing to try it again.
The water they serve has a flavor, like cucumber water or something, very refreshing.
I do want to come back and try the sunday bbq to give it another chance, but I'm not dying to go back.
