El Rey Theatre

I've been to the El Rey Theatre many times - I really enjoy the venue for seeing concerts in a more intimate setting - capacity is less than 1000.

When you arrive, they have valet parking, which is very convenient for the Wilshire area.  You can also find some available parking structures and street parking as well.

The art deco theatre has a main floor level, and a second floor balcony area.  Most of the concerts are usually configured as general admission standing room.  There is a slightly elevated area on the sides, sometimes roped off for VIP.  If it's not, it can be a good place to stand for a better view, if you're standing farther back.  I understand that watching concerts from upstairs provides a good vantage point as well, though I've never personally watched from there.  The sound has been good at the venue,  They have a merch area toward the back of the theatre, so that it is out of the way.

They have hosted a wide range of acts, and it is also available for private events. Enjoy the show!

LA has a lot of music venues that offer mostly rock music. This is another. It's not my favorite, but it's not my least favorite either. I saw Metric and Dresden Dolls here.

This is one of my favorite venues. Like a mini Wiltern. Dope vibe. Intimate setting. Great sound. The bar was kinda pricey tho, but not surprised for a performance venue.

But there is one thing tho, no gum allowed inside?? C'mon man...
