Excellent for a fast fresh lunch or dinner snack. Grab a bowl, wrap or taco. As you move through the selections you practically make your own dish, it's very well flavored, fresh and good. Be careful on the spicy salsa if you are not a spicy fan as it's spicy for an ordinary person.
You can also select and take a Tabasco green or red bottle to your table. I didn't see beer so it's mainly soft drinks and fresh juices. The grilled chicken bowl is my favorite.

A good and reliable quick service restaurant serving what is ostensibly a rice and beans burrito with a little protein. If you like spicy foods, I recommend the Roja Salsa  and grab a bottle of Tabasco Jalapeno or Chipotle just in case the red isn't enough. I'd like to see Chipotle try some innovations (something vegetarian besides guacamole, fish tacos, shrimp, ceviche, et al). It's been the same everything for a few years now.

Seemed to be a great concept. I like un-chemicalized food whenever possible. Love organic, real, home made, etc. There just were not a lot of choices of sauces or flavorings to go onto the food. So, not really what i would call "Tasty." The place is very clean and nicely designed, however, the air conditioning vents spew out a ton of constantly moving air. You really have to pay attention to your seating choice because of this. I prefer another Mexican place just south of here on the west side of the street, as they have mannnny great salsas and floavored sauces.  Just sayin'  lol.

The Wholefoods of Fast Foods !! Since living in Los Angeles I have been a fan of this restaurant. It's the same as their sister restaurants in California. I always get the chicken burrito or the chicken bowl. It's clean , modern, and you can drink the water too! You can eat like a king or Queen for under $7. I usually eat only half of one. They use the very best in meats and produce. Mas tacos Por Favor !!!

I love Chipotle and I go here a lot.  However, some days I get better serving portions than others: it all depends on the person who is scooping. The small brunette girl is awesome, always gives a lot of food.

Chipotle!  I am a die-hard, Colorado-native, fan-since-the-beginning Chipotle eater.  I've promoted the place to all my friends who have never been in all three states where I've lived, CO, MI and FL.
I've been disheartened lately with the portion sizes.  I was used to getting a bowl or tacos and some chips and that lasting me for 2 meals.  Now, I noticed price increases on all food items, and portion sizes are shrinking.  I thought this might be due to the employees at my local Chipotle but there are signs that this is corporate.  One less taco for the crunchy tacos, the taco shells and tortillas are noticeably smaller, the meat, cheese and sour cream scoops are sparse, the cheese shreds are thicker but less is given, and the chip bags. . . well it's offensive to have to pay for 20 chips.
I'm continuously trying to convince my husband that Chipotle is the best taco/burrito place in our are of Fort Lauderdale but today I declared defeat.  Maybe we'll be back to see if there are improvements, but with all the new options available in this highly competitive, quality, Mexican fast-food market, I hope not to forget about Chipotle.

Why did it take the 10 th time ordering a veggie burrito for the guy mention guacamole came with it for free? I would have just assumed they might have mentioned that maybe not the first time but by the 6,8 th???greedy w the guac! Obviously impersonal. But I like the veggie burrito.

Don't get me wrong, I love Chipotle. But the quality at this particular location seems to fluctuate alot. Sometimes it'll be so good that you're convinced that they put crack in their food, and other times it'll just be so-so. I did have a couple of bad experiences here, though.

For starters, this part goes for every Chipotle. The line is always 15 miles long and similar to that of people waiting to get a warm place to sleep in a home-less shelter for the night, or better yet, you feel like you're being treated like cattle. When you finally get up to the counter where you watch them throw your food on the plate, treating it like "slop", you're being rushed and shouted at with a million questions, like if you want un-ripe tomatoes on your food.

I came to this location for lunch with friends on a Sunday about 2 weeks ago. The steak is almost always too under-cooked for me, (I like it medium-well). On this particular date, it was horrible. The steak was raw. For some reason, Chipotle likes to accommodate vampires. I don't know about you, but I don't like tasting blood. That's how raw this steak was. Not to mention, the beans looked like they had a bad weekend. Usually, when the steak here is too under-cooked for me, one of the managers here (he usually works at night) will cook it for a few more minutes for me. He's done this numerous times. He also gives me my food for free when I have to wait too long for steak when they're not that busy. Unfortunately, he wasn't working today. When I got up there to ask them to re-make my bowl for me and cook it for a few more minutes, they told me that they can't do that. I explained that the manager does it for me all of the time when it's too red for me. After barking at the manager on-duty for 10 minutes, I decided to just get my money back and annoyed them with questions such as, how they serve steak right off of the cow and do they have a slaughter-house in the back and such. So I'm on the fence about this location. The only person here with good customer service is the night manager (I don't know his name). Everybody else there seems overly-enthused about being there. Not!

Even though I'm a complainer, I'm really not gonna stop going to Chipotle. Why? Because it is addicting, when it's good.

For what it is, a walk-up quick service restaurants, this place is great. We've had one bad experience, but that's only because they had some difficulties and ran out of everything. They didn't try to fix the problem, which they could, But, that didn't put a dent in our overall impression.

Sometimes, and on purposely, I starve myself for two-days in a row.

I proceed on the third day and have one thing in mind, and that's to walk into a Chipotle, order a burrito, and intake a 1,200-2,000 calories just to refuel that energy back.

I don't know why, but their burritos taste so much better like that...

I very  rarely eat at chain restaurants, particularly when they are fast food. However , Salsa Fresca , recommended to us by friend, had just closed for the evening.
The good news is the food really wasn't bad . Beans, salsa and guacamole all had good flavor and tasted fresh enough. Husband had chicken taco and liked well enough. The decor was simple and clean which is a big improvement over the poorly decorated plastic interior of most fast food. The menu simple and easy to order.
The bad news is that even though restaurant was slow with no one behind us, the server slammed the food down on plate in most unappetizing way imaginable. No finesse . We were cattle at a trough.
However, what downgraded this experience even more  was the sub zero temperature. It was exactly like eating in a walk in fridge. Both of us  rushed through our meal very uncomfortable.  I only finished half my Dos Equis which is maybe a first for me.
Both of us had stomach pains due to the  breakneck speed we were forced to eat at because of the freezing cold.
There would have to be zero other choice before  I could ever   recommend or  return to.

The people working at this Chipotle are great and generous with the portions.

It's a clean restaurant and even if they're a few people in line, you'll have your food in a jiffy.

This location is one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite to eat.

I don't understand the hype about this place with Zona Fresca across the way. Mass produced food, the chicken isn't even white meat. Not everyone eats dark meat so this already threw me off. So I ordered a bean burrito the flour tortilla was cold, so were the beans. To me this tasted like food I would not even feed to my dog. If you want fast food Mexican walk across to Zona Fresca at least they make everything fresh. The food isn't even that cheap here I paid $6.00 for a cold bean burrito that had no taste. Their ingredients compared maybe to Taco Bell are better quality, but I don't eat at Taco Bell !!!

I find it hard to believe that anyone would choose to eat at Chipotle or ever return when the far better Zona Fresca is right across the street. This is assembly line dining at its worst-- loud, sloppy and not at all fresh. Cold salsa, lukewarm beans, sticky rice and meager portions.

First of all, I'm just glad that we finally have a Chipotle in Fort Lauderdale.  Another added bonus, is that unlike in my native Boston area Chipotle locations, you can enjoy a few Coronas (or some other beer of your choice) with your food.  This place is a little hit and miss, though.

On the hit side, is the aforementioned beer, as well as the food itself.  They use good quality ingredients and there's enough flavor and spice to complement it.  On the miss side, is that the staff seems somewhat inexperienced, which resulted in my having to repeat my order several times and go back to the register to get refunded after realizing I had been overcharged.

The staff did seem friendly enough and appropriately apologetic for the mishap, however.  Hopefully, they can work out some of the kinks and improve in those areas.  I plan on coming back and seeing how they'll do.

I can't say enough great things about this place!

    (x) Clean
    (x) Everything is fresh!
    (x) Beer fridge fully stocked
    (x) Plenty of alternative beverages for the non drinking type
    (x) Clean bathrooms
    (x) Everything is FRESH!

This is by far the best $8 you'll splurge on dinner, I just wish they were open past 10pm on a thursday or friday night for that pit stop before you finally make it home after happy hour :)

It's a fast Mexican fast food place, but the quality and flavor of the food are really very, very good. You can tell that all of the ingredients are, though not first class, really very much top of the line. The place is generally clean and the cafeteria type of line generally moves right along. I'd even give it a four star, but there are drawbacks. Though the floor is clean and the kitchen appears orderly and clean, the table tops never seem to be clean. You may very well end up being a table cleaner. The interior is about as industrial and Spartan as one can get. A bare open ceiling, some high intensity lighting that matches nothing, cement floors, cheap, low budget seats and tables. Nothing at all appealing about the interior.

What does impress me are the ingredients and flavors of their foods. Yes, you do pay more than Taco Hut, but having food with ingredients that don't sound like they came our of a New Jersey chemical dump make Chipotle well worth the extra price.

    Hi Everyone!  :)

I've been watching the restaurant Chipotle being built for a number of months now - in a the new and improved shopping plaza off of Federal Highway near the Bal Harbour neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale...
I have been both excited (because of new growth and liveliness of the slowly dying plaza) and disappointed (at all the "chain" restaurants popping up) watching this transformation take place...   I'm all about giving back to my community and support a lot of the local restaurants/coffee shops, etc...

I had a hankering for tacos last night.. so me and my girl decided to go to Chipotle to satisfy the craving. :)   So I'm going to share my step by step experience...

The parking was ideal:  we had front row parking  in the very busy lot... parking doesn't feel like an issue right now because a lot of the new build out spaces for the plaza have not yet opened...

We enter the crowded restaurant...around 7pm  to a very cold space...decor and acoustic-wise.. (my previous Chipotle experiences have been the same in this arena-so it wasn't surprising)... we waited in a long but steady paced line... trying to talk to one another but it was so loud... and brain rattling... that didn't happen until we found a spot to sit outside. The menu board was mostly clear - a few items  I wasn't sure what they were... Barbacoa ?

We get to the "assembly line" to order our food and were herded like livestock... when she asked what a certain item was... we were stared like we were retards (from a grown gentleman)... and didn't get an answer until we asked again... very politely... we were rushed through the line... DEFINITELY in need of a BEER at this point :).... going to check out they told us there wasn't any beer because they still have not obtained an alcohol license... which is understandable... and wasn't too disappointing... (well, R was disappointed... I didn't care) lol.  Check out - done...

Looking for a table seemed to be a challenge... they have these industrial sized air vents that made it really cold - so we squatted for a minute until one of the 4 tables outside became free... we rushed to the outdoor table like it was the running of the bulls in pamplona to grab the table lol...

Once at the table - the food was  really delicious (surprising)... I ordered the Carnitas Burrito with Cilantro Rice...corn mix...Sour Cream... she ordered the Burrito Bowl... however was a challenge to understand what came with it when it was ordered...

If herding and loud doesn't bother you - then this is a cool place...

Overall the food was really flavorful...the pricing was okay... I can't imagine ever going back but I'm happy for the experience...

I will keep my taco cravings to Whole Enchilada and Zona Fresca down the street...better pricing, the folks are so nice and remember you... and they serve my favorite beer...

    Until my next adventure....

    Cheers,

    Dez
