I have to rate this place as only OK. The sushi is great, hands down. The service was disappointing. After eating at this restaurant last Saturday with a group of 8 people, we were highly disappointed with 1. How long it took for our dinner to arrive. We had Dinner arrived at very different times. One couple received everything they ordered before the other couple received anything. 3. Paying was a nightmare. After waiting as long as we did for our dinner, we had to fix checks three different times before it was correct.
Again, the sushi was good but I don't think it was worth the trouble.
Having authentic Japanese food, especially in Chicago, can be a challenge. Â I went there for the first time and loved the food. Â The quality of food and the way it was prepared was in the style that my mother used to make. Â I also loved the fact that they also had real Japanese dessert. Â Had we had room, tea and yokan would have been a great way to end the meal. Â I will definitely be back.
