After a shift change the following conversation took place...
Hooters Waitress: Can I get you guys anything else?
My buddy: No, I think we're gonna get out of here. Not because of you though. In fact if we were to stay it'd probably be because of you.
Hooters Waitress: Well maybe I can show a bit more cleavage and see if I can get you guys to stay longer.
We had two girls with us. God bless Hooters :-)
At the risk of making think I give nothing but bad reviews, I have to give this restaurant a bad review. Â Went there with my kids at lunch time. Â I should of figured out that this was going to be bad by the fact that unlike the other restaurants in the area, this one wasn't busy and we got right in.
The guy who sat us acted like he could care less. Â The waitress wasn't very responsive to our needs, as compared to other Hooters I've been too.
My kids ordered Wings, which, according to my kids were great. Â I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak with bacon ($1.50 extra). Â After waiting an extraordinary long time for our food to get there (my younger son almost fell asleep). Â A couple who was seated 15 minutes after us got their immediately after we got ours.
When it did get there, my Cheese Steak sandwich was cold. Â I noticed that there wasn't the extra bacon I ordered on the sandwich. Â When I pointed this out to the waitress, she reached for my plate to take it back, I pulled the plate back and asked her to just take the Bacon off the check. Â She said that it didn't matter because the Bacon was a freebie. Â I had to open the menu to point out to her that Bacon did cost extra.
After a bit of my sandwich, my first reaction was to call the waitress over and send the sandwich back. Â But as it took a long time for us to get our food and we were somewhat wanting to get the heck out of the place, I just muddled through and ate it. Â What a mistake that was, on the drive home I felt an awful urge to use the bathroom.
Overall, a really really bad experience. Â I've grown to expect better from Hooters. This place IMHO has given up.
The worse experience ever!!! Went on a Sunday night around 8pm.
- The hostess who sat us looked dazed and was unfriendly.
- The waitress did not know how to answer simply questions about the wings and we ended up ordering the wrong thing because she couldn't answer a simple question. I am not expecting a lot from the waitresses; just basic knowledge of the menu! They couldn't meet this simple expectations.
- Once we expressed that we were not satisfied with the food they did nothing to correct the situation and instead said this is exactly what we ordered.
- The fries had a hair in it and one of the guys just exchanged it away with no apology. This must be a common occurrence since the ladies don't tie their hair or wear a cap and the guy wasn't at all surprised by it.
Overall a horrible experience. Bad service, bad food (oh and the ladies are below average in looks so that can't be a reason to dine there). How can they stay open in a place like Chicago where the competition is so high????
