Just dined here with a coworker for lunch. The waitress was not attentive. Be aware that they charge for soda refills. The beer selection looks great. Food was very fresh.

Stopped in to skip 5:00 traffic, not expecting much from a place attached to a Best Western and WOW. I'm from Texas and NO one in Mass gets Tex-Mex food right. My chimmichurri steak was better than any I've ever had and my husband's short rib tacos were awesome as well. There were at least 50 beers on tap that I could see and our bartender/server, Kyle was friendly and efficient. I told my husband I was tempted to post a bad review to try and keep this secret gem to ourselves but these guys deserve major props for what they've brought to the area. I'll definitely be back soon!  Patti & Guy

The boy and I decided to eat here as we are staying in the Best Western that it is attached to, and didn't feel like driving around looking for something else to eat. It was strangely busy and we ended up having to wait a little, but nothing major.

They have 40 beers on tap, which is really nice... the mixed drink I had was not that great, however. Just a weird weird weird tasting sangria, no bueno, but the beer selection was awesome, my boyfriend enjoyed that!  Most beers were 6-7 dollars and cocktails were around 7-9 dollars.

Their menu is pretty nice, lots to choose from. I got the crispy chipotle chicken sandwich, it was really tasty and their fries are really yummy (probably what I enjoyed most about this restaurant). My boyfriend got the common man burger and he said it was delicious, so I'll take his word for it.

Our waitress was super friendly, which was a plus because for me, the service is something that is really important when it comes to a visit to a new restaurant. I was surprised at the amount of our bill, only because I expected it to be more than it was! Definitely not complaining.  Overall it's a nice place, and if you're in the Waltham area looking for something to eat, check this place out.

There's also tons of TVs so if you're trying to catch the game, this is a good place.

Copper House Tavern is located in Western Waltham, right near highway 95, adjacent to a large parking lot used by many of the discount hotel chains in the area. It's a newcomer in the area and a welcome one at that. Aside from this place, few spots in the area offer this kind of food or beer selection.

Since it was sunny and pleasant outside we decided to sit on their patio and our hostess was very accommodating and friendly. We were immediately seated and ordered up a couple of beers from their list. A list which by the way features nearly 40 beers, divided up by style and ranging from IPAs to ales and Hefeweizens. There's also a couple of ciders available for those who don't want beer or are sensitive to gluten. The beers arrived cold and were great.

That being said, I didn't think that their lunch menu was very good value. I ordered up their Asian Beef Noodle salad ($13.50) and it didn't even dent my appetite. For the price, I expected a bit more 'homph' for my money but was just left with a small plate with a couple of Asian-style steak tips and a few noodles. It was good but just didn't feel like much. My wife seemed to enjoy her meal a bit more and seemed to have a bit more to eat.

Service was friendly, and all in all, it's not a bad place. I welcome them in the area and hopefully they'll be rotating their taps a bit as well. I do however hope that the value of the place improves, or I'll be hard pressed to go there often as other places like City Streets Restaurant offer much better food and value. It's a pretty good start though and the decor inside is nice and spacious so hopefully they'll settle in and impress me the next time around.

Good beer and good service. Food not so pleasing to the palate. If you stop in don't get anything fancy keep it plain with a burger.

They were slammed on Thursday night because it was a friend of Harpoon event where you got a free Harpoon beer. We went and meet another couple because we had heard that the place was new with a huge craft beer menu and just wanted to check it out - plus get our free beer.

The tavern is attached to the Best Western. The parking lot was so full we had to park in a neighboring hotel's lot. Imagine how pissed you'd be if you were an actual hotel guest and just wanted to check in after a few hours of travel and you couldn't even park at your hotel! The space is huge! We entered from the hotel so we totally missed the hostess station, and when trying to get to the back where our friends were we walked through what appeared to be a waiter station - though I'm still not sure.

Comfy booths, nice wood throughout, and good lighting seems like it would make a good atmosphere. And a couple of flat screens thrown about. But service was a little rough. I understand it's a new place, but having this event a month after it first opened might have been a mistake. Or maybe the staff is just slow learners. Either way, our waitress would disappear for a while and not sure if she had any other tables because we didn't see her in our area. We never got to see the real beer menu. All the focus was on the Harpoon beers, which was okay but ya think they'd have their listing there too so you'd be tempted to come back. I think we'll make another visit there when it's less crazy and maybe try some food too. Our friends got the spring rolls and humus plate and didn't rave about them. But they did mention the menu has $15 salads! Yikes. Maybe it's a hotel restaurant with hotel prices.

I have been 3 times so far.   Lunch, Dinner and for just appetizers.  Everything has been great.  Beer?  This is the best restaurant in Waltham for beer hands down.  40 Microbrews from our New England and the country.  They let you try it first to see if you like it.  I would like them to do a sampler at some point.
Food- Appetizers are fantastic.  Nachos outstanding with fresh jalapenos to make it spicy with sour cream, salsa, and an interesting guacamole.   What more do you want?  Hamburger done perfectly and I liked the roll.  Chili very good with some spice.  Salads were excellent.  The only thing that was not great was the clam chowder.

Yes it is in a hotel but if the food is good who cares.

The prices are a little high for Waltham but they seem to have lots of staff willing to help out and great food.  Look forward to trying some more items on the menu.

Stuck in an awkward part of town for a job interview, I wandered into the Copper House Tavern for lunch.  It's comfortable, spacious, clean, and the service very fast and courteous.  I ordered the Blackened Chicken Cobb Salad, and was frankly blown away by how good it was - chicken cooked to perfection, generous helpings of bleu cheese, bacon, and avocado, along with black beans, roasted corn, and fresh tomato, and just the right amount of a spicy Southwest dressing.  The greens, like everything else, were fresh and tasty.

The central bar features multiple screens showing a variety of sports, and the music is a pleasant mix of pop, not too loud.  I'd recommend the Copper House for a business lunch, a family dinner, or a night out with the girls.

Found this place via the interweb and thought we'd check it out. If you're driving to it from the east it will come up on the right side and is easy to pass. if you find yourself at 95/128 you went too far. Weird location but the feel and interior of this tavern make the Best Western lotmate fade away. The design/layout of a place is something I notice and I really liked this place, nicely done. Love the glass up in front of the kitchen, great comfortable bar (where we sat), loved the light fixtures...anyway, the environ was pleasant.

The bartender (pleasant short Latina woman) was perfectly attentive and very knowledgeable. My cocktail sipping friend ordered the kicking mule after a brief, "this is what I like what would you recommend?", she apparently was spot on and he loved it. Our other friend is a novice beer drinker and he did the same, she knew her beer and he loved her recommendation for him. This kid had a delish Tom Collins on such a hot day and it was perfect.

The food is where I became a little disenchanted but my friends liked their meals a lot. We started with the gluten free Tomatillo guac and chips, other than their chip to guac ratio really missing the mark they're a must try. One friend had the Blue Cheese Burger and said he'd give it a B+ but it was a little overdone, he asked for medium rare and it came barely barely pink. Other bud had the lobster roll and liked it too. Sweet potato fries are the clear winner over the steak fries. They weren't bad for steak fries, they just weren't as flavorful or salted or something. I had the veggie wild mushroom burger and I love when restaurants give the choice of meat, turkey or veggie for ALL burger options. This is such an easy way to open your menu up to everyone. Having said that, the burger was really disappointing. It was so dry and fried, i felt like I was eating three buns and had to put ketchup and mustard on both sides of it to be able to eat it and then it fell apart. Please fix the veggie burger. your burger options are awesome and the mushroom and cheese medley was really good. I imagine that based on my friends burger, that other toppings would be good too, in fact, I saw a couple more i wanted to try! As someone who doesn't eat beef, I'd prefer a regular frozen veggie patty than what I attempted to eat. If you can't fix it, put the recipe to bed, break out the better and better getting frozen ones and let the toppings speak for the burger  and I'd definitely try it again.

All-in-all I'd come back because I actually had a hard time choosing just one thing from the menu and I was intrigued enough by the decor, beer, cocktails, and my friends food to try it again.

Ever since I started working in this God-forsaken office park, I've been wondering why one of the nearby hotels didn't open a decent restaurant for lunch and atter-work drinks for the hordes of nearby  cube dwellers.

The Copper House Tavern has done just that. You can sun yourself on their patio, overlooking a discount chain hotel parking lot and Shell gas station, just blocks from your office.

They had a good selection of beers, and while calling their California-centric wine list eclectic is a bit of a stretch, they did have some good selections.

I had the cobb salad, which was quite tasty. My friends had burgers which looked delicious.

Service was slow, but I would imagine with some training, it will improve.

ANY new restaurant is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood, and I'm sure we will be back.

Went here for the first time a few days ago and had a really positive experience! The staff/mgmt were professional and very friendly. I ordered a glass of wine and had one of their vegetarian pasta dishes: gemelli with spinach and roasted vegetables. The pasta was cooked just right and the sauce was delicious; not at all overpowering/heavy. They also have an extensive beer list and the modern decor really adds to the overall dining experience. I will definitely be back!

This place has lots of potential.

The decor and atmosphere are awesome. The restaurant is clean, modern, and inviting. The bar is great. The seating is comfortable and you dont feel like you are sitting on top of the table next to you. The staff is also very nice. The beer list is good too. This restaurant fills the need for upscale American fare in Waltham quite well. The prices are also relatively affordable. I have been here twice since they opened and the food is quite good. They have an impressive menu of unique items, including burgers offered as veggie/beef/turkey/chicken options.

There were a few things that missed the mark, however. The veggie burger (while very tasty) essentially had the consistency of thick oatmeal. After the first bite caused most of the "patty" to squeeze out the sides of the bun, I took to eating it with a fork instead. The flavor was good and I liked the ingredients used in the burger, but it was most definitely not a burger that could be cut in half or even eaten with the bun. They seemed to be well aware of the consistency issue and assured me they have been working on trying to get it right. They even took the item off the bill and gave free desert! I also had the Reuben sandwich on another visit. The corned beef was great because it wasn't sliced deli meat, it was actual chunks of real corned beef. It would have been a stellar sandwich if it wasn't tepid in temperature. It wasn't hot and it wasn't cold, it was like it had been hot but was left out for 20 minutes and then served. The cheese on top was cold and not melted at all. Again, the flavors were good, but the execution could have been a bit better. The sweet potato fries were excellent as were the nachos. GET THE NACHOS!

I will be back and I look forward to this place getting better and better.

It this was in Boston, I would give it 4-stars, but in Waltham... "5-stars.  Woohoo! As good as it gets!"

I only stumbled onto The Copper House Tavern on yelp, while searching for place worth going to near Bentley University.  Also, surprised to find it connected to a Best Western!  We arrived for lunch on an early Saturday afternoon.  The patio was full, but the open doors made the indoor setting pleasant.  Appreciated the bar staff letting us know that outdoor seating offered a limited meal, vs. indoors that had the full meal.

We ordered the (red) Sangria - not really traditional, and no fruit, but still tasty.  I had the Thai Shrimp Salad, which was delicious.  The pineapple in the salad was roasted, which really brought out its natural sweetness.  The dressing was a nice complement for the salad ingredients.

The Veggie Burger had good flavor, but as a little messy to eat - seemed to fall apart very easily.

A friend had the chocolate lava cake, but there was no lava, it was baked too long, and the center of the cake was already set.

If near Bentley University, would definitely come here again... and with it being at the Best Western, it's the easiest parking spot in town.

Went here for the first time last night.  Loved it...very spacious, CLEAN, really nice décor and ambience and the food matched it.  Two of us had burgers, which were cooked to perfection and the others had the fish tacos and chimichurri steak.  Everyone was very happy with their meals.  It did not seem at all like a "new" restaurant.  We did not experience any growing pains at all, and the staff/mgmt. could not have been any nicer or more helpful.  Felt like they'd been open for years.  I wish them luck and hope they stay.  I will be back for sure!

Everything was great, local Porter, had the loaded nachos- very good, and had the Cabo burger.  One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Friendly staff.
