I stopped in to get a taco and horchata while nursing a bad cold. Wow, I should have just gone to McDonald's or one of the other taquerias. The waitress wasn't friendly, actually kind of cold and rude. Yet, that never deters me from a taco. What does is watching the little woman behind the counter take trash out to the sidewalk trash can, then, without washing her hands, pick up a piece of meat off the grill, take a bite, and lay it back down on the grill. I'm not a whimp about sanitation, but this place crossed the line.
I'll never go back, and don't suggest it for anyone else.
The place didn't look like much, but I was tired and hungry and it's REALLY close to my apartment.
This was a bad decision. Â The staff is friendly, but the food ... uh ... welp. Â It borders on edible, that's about all I can say for it. Â The chicken tacos are just bland, flavorless, and unappetizing. Â I don't think I'll go back to see how anything else is, sadly.
there is a language barrier--a definite plus. Â and awesome brightly colored booth seating.
the waitress was really, really nice even though she wanted to give me an "italiano burrito" instead of a vegetarian one. Â
life is like ordering food from someone who doesn't understand you--you never know what you're gonna get. Â accept it and enjoy it.
