Cuso's Beach Place

Stopping at a random beach side place for lunch, we were pleasantly surprised by Cuso's.  The homemade chips, salsa, crab cakes, and grouper sandwich were all excellent and reasonably priced.  The atmosphere is open air and very laid back but would have been nice if this was directly ocean facing instead of across the street, but definitely worth the short trip.

Stopped here for a quick drink and noticed that most of the people were IRB locals. We didn't eat here since this place is more of a bar than restaurant. People were nice, drinks were reasonable. Not coming back, unless they have $2 wells...

Cuso's is a cute place.  My husband and I stopped in for refreshment after several hours on the beach nearby, still with sand in our flip-flops.  The walls are open, so a breeze flows through the place even in hot weather,  The place consists of a U-shaped bar, with small tables and bar stools around the perimeter.  Though we could tell the rest of the clientele were locals and regulars, we didn't get any attitude when we came in, which allowed us to relax.  The bartender was particuarly friendly and helpful.  We ordered some cold beverages, and were pleasantly surprised to see several deep-fried vegetable options on the bar food menu - we chose the greenbeans and eggplant "fries."  The latter came with a marinara dipping sauce which made the eggplant taste like eggplant parmesan - yum!  Both the greenbeans and eggplant were really good - the crust was crunchy and tasty and not overly greasy.  It was just the perfect place to relax after the beach.  Granted we had a brief experience at Cuso's, but we enjoyed our experience and wanted to give this place props accordingly.
