Love this place it's fun the men are hot and the bartenders made me feel comfortable for my first time there.
Had the best time ever just relaxing on the patio and having a smoke.
My advice for any one visiting Denver you want to have fun come here.
I'm not a drinker and no one made me feel bad just drinking water and I had a really fun time.....
TY to the Eagle staff for making me feel so Welcome visiting their bar....
Not your typical "Eagle" hang out. Â Was expecting small, crowded, and old in terms of the establishment and was pleasantly surprised to arrive to a cool, high ceiling, open-aired, warehouse-type of bar/club.
The bartender was friendly, bathrooms are clean, and plenty of dark corners for your to sneak off to. Â Has an plenty of inside space and a dark room on 2nd floor along with a wrap around open space on the outside for you to be able to enjoy a smoke or the cool breeze.
Freaking love this place. Cliffy & Dee are the Bomb. Not quite sure why all the MoMo's before going to tracks, insist on bringing their fag-hags to underwear night. *TIP* Ladies, if your going to come to the Eagle, get in your underwear when it is underwear night. DJ, if your DJing for dance party, get out there and remove the tables from the dancefloor, unplug the dart machine and lets get that place poppin'
Review Source:Definitely a bit divey but visiting from San Francisco, I've come to realize that the divey sort of gay bars always have the friendliest patrons and bartenders. Shouldn't that be the most important thing in deciding which gay bar to go? You'd think...but alas eye candy and dancing among said eye candy usually takes precedent for most.
We headed over to Tracks a bit later for that. But we really enjoyed are drinks here, served up strong and hard just like we like our men ;)
Came here not by choice and wanted to leave so bad. This place is not for women, duh! This was the most boring gay bar I've ever been to. I didn't see any leather, just a bunch of fratty boys that i would label as a douchebag on the streets. I might have just come too early but i think it was about 11pm and on a weekend and there were probably at most 10 people including the staff.
Review Source:I like seedy bars...so this one wins hands down (the pants). Talk about plenty of room, tons of hot men and strong drinks - yeah boy!
The $12 all you can drink bust is great fun but also very dangerous. Don't go on a school night otherwise the next day will be rough. I learned that one the hard way :-) However, this bar is a great place just to have some drinks.
There is almost always something happening on the weekends...foam parties, underwear parties, dance parties, just parties! It's great that there is no dress code...I mean how can you go wrong with men in little clothing?
The drinks are serious but not over priced - always a plus. I have constantly been impressed with the staff - totally polite! The dark lighting and fun videos make this place just the right size...
Also, I am a big fan of the patio. There's lots of room to stand or sit or make out in the corner. One downside: it's far from downtown. So, I would suggest a sober driver or a taxi...or maybe get some hottie in his undies to drive you home ;-)
Recently moved to Denver and was excited to once again be in a city with an Eagle...unfortunately I was disappointed. I've been 3 times now and it's pretty much been the same each time. The space is great but definitely more of a warehouse style club than your traditional Eagle. The bar never really seems to get crowded and it's about as hardcore as a Hot Topic. The bar staff is definitely very friendly but on the slower side. I'm going to steer clear for a while but open to try again based on The eagle's reputation.
Review Source:The Eagle's my favorite bar in Denver. Â Definitely has the coolest space and the hottest bartenders in town. Â It attracts a mixed crowd, with guys of all ages, and seems to be a bit friendlier than some of the other bars I go to. Â Reasonable prices and strong drinks (be careful and pace yourself if you're visiting from a lower altitude).
Yeah, as some people point out, it's not exclusively geared towards guys into the leather/levi scene. Â There's no dress code or anything like that (although there are nights when fetish gear and/or undressing is even more encouraged). Â But the fact of the matter is that a lot of the leather bars across the country that aren't changing with the times are closing these days.
The all-you-can-drink happy hour bust from 4-8 for $12 is the best deal around (they include many of the beers on tap as well as well drinks). Â It's a great way to kick off the weekend on a Friday afternoon. Â
The only real drawback is that it's located a little ways from Cap Hill, so most people will have to drive to get there.
Other good nights include the Thursday underwear party and the Black Eye Ball at the end of the month. Â Check their website for other periodic special events and parties.
Great bar -- deserving of 5 stars.
This and the Wrangler are pretty much it for the Denver, older, "leather/levi" crowd. Â I went to the Eagle on the last Saturday of the month, also known as "black eye night" or something of that effect. Â There were a few guys in the bar with black eye makeup on, and, apparently, that got them into the drink special. Â
Anyway, the special event night meant a pretty big crowd, which is exactly what you want when you're a horny out-of-towner (me) looking to score (wink). Â This is where it's at!
Full bar with a big heated patio for all the smokers. Â Also has a pretty large sized dance floor with go-go boys dancing in cages wearing jock straps. Â Also, a cute bar back twink and sexy door man - -also both in jocks. Â Total eye candy.
The bartenders were friendly (and sexy) as were the locals. Â I struck up several conversations and even saw some smutty action near the piss trough in the men's room. Â
All in all, this is precisely what you want if the leather/levi scene is your thing. Â
The drinks were so strong I had to leave my car there (it was safe and untouched the next morning) and catch a ride back to my hotel with one of the cute locals, which was, um, fun (wink). Â Score!
Ok, there ARE other Eagles across this country and the one GREAT thing I can say about Denver's is the space! Man this space is AWESOME!!! Now as for the crowd(s) I must admit The Eagle in SF puts them ALL to shame! However this is a cool space if they could only get a regular crowd to show up and actually give this place some serious business! This spot has the potential to be a HOT spot!
Review Source:i had a lot of fun at the eagle and also had pretty decent service every time i made it up to the bar. i was afraid i wasn't going to have a good time going in, but everyone was very friendly and there were more ladies there than i thought would be.
hot men in leather with bare bums. what more could you ask for?
Recently I was in the Eagle, obviously before the busy time. There were 5 others at the bar and a few others around in the bar. I sat at the end of the bar where no one was sitting and I was completely ignored by the bartender. So I decided to start timing him. It was 13 minutes and I had not been served. I got up to leave and only then did he speak to me. He asked if I was waiting for someone. I said I was waiting for a drink. I then walked out. This was not the first time I have noticed sub par service. It's no wonder the Denver Eagle is always slow. Get better bar service!
