Denver Chophouse & Brewery

We ate here back in mid February for a birthday dinner for my sister-in-law.  I'm a big fan of a free brew for checking in via Yelp!  We made reservations through Open Table and had no problems at all with the process.  We were sat immediately in a nice corner table.

Our waitress took our drink orders quickly and got our appetizer order in quickly, too.
We had spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer.  4-stars on taste.  I ordered lamb chops.  It came with three little chops that were cooked fairly well.  The waitress made sure I knew what I was getting as far as size goes, which I appreciated very much.  The lamb chops just didn't wow me.  I'd give them a 3 star.  I would never ever consider ordering them again.  

Our waitress made a big goof on the bill & change, but correcting the issue only took a little honesty and it was no big deal.  

However, based on the excellent service and tasty beers, I would come here again.

Fantastic Tenderloin tips. Melts in your mouth tender with a sharp tasting stout gravy. Comes with a generous house salad. Plenty of blue cheese. Also hot corn bread served in a baking pan. Terrific house pale ale too.  Crowded, loud, and bustling on a weekend.  Service was still pretty good, and the food was excellent.

I went to Denver Chophouse & Brewery on a Friday night with a large party. The long table and loud atmosphere was not great for a big party, but with all the delicious food, we weren't talking much anyway!! It seems like it would be the perfect date night location, or a smaller party of 4-5 people.

We started with an appetizer sampler - shrimp, ahi tuna, spinach and artichoke dip and some crab cakes, all of which were delicious. They also provide jalapeno corn bread, which was yummy.

I ordered the 8oz filet with the white cheddar mashed potatoes, which were both amazing. I can't remember the last time I had a steak so perfectly cooked! I had a Patron margarita to drink, which was pretty good too.

The waitress was great and very attentive, especially with such a large party. My first impression of Denver Chophouse and Brewery is definitely positive - I will be returning on my next trip to Denver!
