Good atmosphere
Love the beer selection. Our table all pretty much ordered burgers and everyone seemed satisfied. I ordered a chicken pot pie but it wasn't really a pot pie. It was chicken noodle soup/gravy in a bowl, topped with a flaky buttery pie crust bread chunk. It was delicious, just different. Huge restaurant with two levels. The upstairs patio is super nice. Some of the tables have fire pits in the middle, pretty genius. Downstairs has tv's for the sports watching fans. Service is always consistent and friendly.
Great beer selection.
Most of the food choices on the menu are a bit weird but they have some basics. I had the french dip and it was really good. Had a hint of BBQ taste with super good beef so it tasted awesome. The french fries were marginal.
The place is your typical yuppie decor with no real personality. The service was really good.
Basically, if you love beer, upscale bar food, and the highlands, you will love the Ale House.
I'm a strong believer that people shouldn't be able to see through their beer, and with the rotating selections and easily-navigatable (totally a word) beer menu, I can always find something SO DELICIOUS.
Also, you can get a personalized grilled cheese sammich. With goat cheese, prosciutto, tomato, and avocado. Or jalapeno poppers stuffed with peanut butter and dipped in jelly. Or big, fried mounds of blue cheese on a bison burger.
Do you like to get sort of drunk of a 12% beer and then eat food that's so juicy and delicious stuff runs down your arms? Yeah. I thought so. ME TOO!
