I have been to this place twice now, and it is by far my favorite Mexican food in Denver. Not that I'm a Mexican food junkie like a lot of people....it's usually pretty far down my priority list. However, authentic Mexican food like the stuff this place serves is a whole different story. There is pretty much no gringo-ized food on the menu. We asked the waitress what region the food was from since I had no idea what most of the stuff on the menu was, and apparently it's Mexico City style.
The first time we tried both the alambre and the huarache, and both were excellent. Full of flavor, and not so unhealthy tasting like a lot of Mexican food that is drenched in cheese and oil. They also bring you 4 different salsas which are all excellent. The second time I had the mole enchiladas which were literally mind-blowing. By far the best mole I've ever had and tasted very fresh.
I don't think I'll ever be able to enjoy standard "Mexican" food again. This place is one of my new favorites.
