Despite how long it took me to visit this place, I was really impressed! I loved the old pub-style wooden decor and the garden-like patio was charming and inviting. The beer list wasn't extensive, but offered plenty of variety.
The food was good, and surprisingly cheap. Burgers and sandwiches come a la carte, but they offer fries and onion rings as well. I had the JCB (jalapeno cream cheese burger) and it was delicious! The service was quick and friendly.
I will definitely be coming back to My Brother's Bar, if only to drink beer on that patio!
We went here after reading Yelp reviews. Prior to this I had not been there in 20 years. Â I guess my standards have changed as I've matured.
The server was friendly and competent. We both ordered their Johnny Burger. I didn't assume that three cheeses meant that jalapeno cream cheese would be one of them. I did not like that. However... The way they were served was our biggest complaint. They serve this little organizer. Burgers on top, wrapped in paper, no plates. What was disgusting was that inside the organizers were four small bowls. One with pickle chips, one with onion slices, one with relish, one with something else. Ketchup and muster in the squeeze bottles, mayo in packets.
When we were done, they picked up the organizer, made of white plastic or lucite, carried it to the server station, pulled out the bowls, and used tongs to replenish the consumed condiments and then stacked two more burgers on it and out it went to another table. Never wiped down, and the condiments we used reserved to another table. Eew! Just replenished, not replaced?????? Not wiped down?
The lighting was so dark it was uncomfortable. We won't go back.
