Want to give five stars but with no liquor I can't. Other than that its a great place. Â My first time going was this past Sunday and I have been back twice since then. They're are a lot of regualrs there so when you first walk in they will all stare. Don't worry just go and find a seat and you will get served. The prices are great and a cool vibe. Only minus is no liquor. If you don't feel like driving out to Arlington or D.C. then this place isn't bad to go like I said have a drink before you go because you can only get tea or coffee here.
Review Source:Cool place to hang out. They have tons of drink options as far as tea and coffee and plenty of shisha options too. The seats are comfy. I was confused if I needed to wait for a server or go up to the register to order/pay. This place is so laid back I don't think it matters either way.
It seems they've generated a good crowd of young regulars which to me is a little intimidating but on the other hand everyone is friendly.
Didn't get hookah when we went but saw it was ~$15 for a hookah, which is hard to justify since I have a hookah and shisha right at home. Good drinks though.
I accidentally posted this review on their old Yelp! Page which seems to be closed, so I'll post it here too!
This place is awesome. I love it!
I am a bit of a hookah aficionado and I've been looking for a new spot for some time now. I've been all over the northern VA area in search of the perfect place and have dealt with a lot of different problems. Unprofessional staff, overpriced hookah, cover charges, bad hookah, I've been through it all at several different venues. NOT THIS PLACE THOUGH!
I've been there 5-6 times in the last month or so and have had a great time on each occasion. This place is somewhat out of the way and you wouldn't notice it driving by, but inside its actually not bad. I'm used to many hookah bars with blasting musing where I can't even hear myself think let alone carry a conversation with friends. This place, on the other hand, is very laid back and a great environment to interact.
The hookah as always been good, which is my favorite aspect of this place. They have a million different flavors and are willing to mix anything you want; even 3-4 different flavors in one hookah for you. Also the price is really great, about 11$ for Ak-Fakher tobacco and $16 or so for Starbuzz which is pretty reasonable because I've been charged a lot more for bad, harsh hookah at many different places.
I don't really have any complaints; the staff is also really laid back and cool; they have recommendations and they all speak english which is rare for service jobs especially at hookah bars. Its officially my new spot for hookah even though there are 3-4 other hookah bars on my way to Manassas.
This is one of my FAV spots. They have some of the BEST hookah that I've ever had, EVER. I mean it is sooo smooth and I've never tried that other 'green smoke-able plant' but they have a hookah here called acid, and I've heard it's similar. I tried the acid before and it was too much for me. I usually opt for skittles. Aside from the hookah being smooth it is also very reasonably priced. I've sat in there and smoked for hours with coffee and my tab wasn't over $25.
I took off a star because every time that I've gone they always bring around this one menu. I mean literally just one, as in after we view it and make a choice, they take that same one menu to the next table. And get this, it's not even laminated (that's a word that only an education major would recognize and actually get, lol). I'm sure it doesn't cost that much to get a few decent menus in the place. Sometimes I just like the menu at my table so that I can know what to try the next time I visit.
I also hate the fact that only coffee is served, I understand that they're trying to create this serene atmosphere, but sometimes I need a stiff one. Also, the music is aggravating at times. Variety is the spice of life, why not mix things up a bit. At least throw in a couple songs that will appear to the actual crowd that patronizing the business. These two things are factors that will make me drive out to falls church/arlington/dc area.
I have to keep it real here, I did have one issue but it was tiny so I didn't want that to be the focus of my review nor take away stars unnecessarily. On the weekends they could use an extra person. One night we arrived ordered and waited for forever for our hookah. Then another group of people came (after us) and ordered, and got everything before us. We were super pissed but the guy apologized and said that's the way it came out *side eye*.
I didn't mention that I LOVE their white chocolate mocha's iced or hot, either way its good. My friend's ordered a cupcake and they really liked it. I want to try the red velvet cake soon. I'd definitely visit again.
My friend and I were out in Manassas for a fitness class and were in dire need of a coffee on our way back to DC. Rather than opting for a Starbucks in the dozens of strip malls flanking either side of Sudley Road, we used Yelp to find a smaller local shop. We are so glad we found Dream Cafe! We ordered a Nutella Latte and a Mocha Latte and they were both deeeelicious. They used real Nutella in the former and the owner commented that the mocha mix (a powder) was made by a local guy out of his home in West Virginia. We love their commitment to buying local - you could see it in the food and yummy desserts they offered as well (all homemade from Virginia small businesses). The service was excellent, husband and wife team both very friendly and proud of their establishment (as they should be!).
As it was a daytime trip we didn't get to take advantage of the hookah or board games, but it felt like a place we could spend hours in just being comfortable. The Middle Eastern music videos on in the background were an interesting (entertaining) touch that made the hookah smoke in the air feel that much more appropriate.
Will definitely be back to this place if we're ever in Manassas!
