In my opinion EAT! is one of the best food trucks in Cincinnati. I first had the opportunity to EAT! during the World Choir Games. My husband and I shared two sandwiches - the grilled paneer and grilled chicken sandwiches. While the grilled chicken sandwich was good, the grilled paneer sandwich was great and I've ordered it a couple of times since. The paneer had a great texture and the tamarind onions add some amazing flavor to the sandwich. Yes, it does take a while to get your food, but I prefer that - it means my sandwich wasn't sitting in a warmer for hours but instead is freshly made. If you only have 5 minutes for lunch then go to a fast food restaurant. If you want freshly made, delicious and unique food then check out EAT!
Review Source:I found the Eat! Mobile Dining truck outside Washington Park this past weekend when I saw ArtsWave's summer Shakespeare series.
I had the marinated (rubbed? Seared? Something...) chicken sandwich, which was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend it to a friend, though I think the mushrooms were marinated too long. But the chicken was out of this world, and while I can't say what kind of cheese he used, I can say that I found myself ready to lick the basket.
I have one complaint: It cost $3 for the dinkiest bag of almonds I've ever seen. I think there were about 20 almonds in the bag. Were they delicious? Absolutely. Would I buy again? Heck no!
My other complaint isn't really a complaint, but more of a personal issue: I hate waiting. I was in line for 15 minutes. Then it took 20 minutes for my order to come up. It's because of this that I will most likely shy away next time, but I would recommend it to anybody who has some time to kill. By the time I got my order the play had already started, and I got there with plenty of time to spare.
One last thing - the staff is incredibly friendly. It's a shame that their food takes so long to prepare. This place really ought to be a restaurant.
