I find it kind of bizarre that this place is called a Vietnamese restaurant when it's clearly Americanized Chinese food, and I'm a bit perplexed about the rave reviews, but oh well.
PROS:
+ Cheap food. You get a lot of food for how much you pay for. You get a big plate that's half meat half rice.
+ The servers are friendly.
CONS:
- Okay food. It's pretty standard fare Americanized Chinese food. Not too special, and you feel kind of like passing out after you're done eating. Personally I found it too salty and greasy for my taste.
- Only open during lunch on weekdays. Apparently they know their target demographic, which is hungry business people who come during lunch break.
As indicated in other reviews, this place is a solid choice for massive quantities of tasty foodstuffs.
For $9 with a beverage, you get a choice of a massive portion of a single item with rice or noodles with a side (egg roll, spring roll, etc), or you have the option of getting 2 different "main dishes" with the side.
Personal preference is for the Curry Chicken, a mild coconut curry dish with potatos. The ginger chicken is a crowd favorite, but I am not that big a fan. The beef and potato is amazing - crispy, savory, but a little dry.
Much like the A-Team, if you have hunger...if no one else can help...and if you can find them...maybe you can hire...Eden Restaurant.
Oh, and bring cash - this is not a corporate card establishment.
Everything here is great. Â My favorite is the beef and potatoes, I have had nothing else like it. Â Crispy thick cut potatoes chips tossed in a sauce with tender thin sliced beef. Â The egg rolls are also the best I have ever had from a restaurant by far. Â For $7.50, this place is a great value for lunch.
