Tried them for the first time. Being an east coaster, I am on a constant hunt for a good deli experience. A friend recommended that place and I must say, I will be on a lookout now every Sunday. True, the place is a bit pricey but hey worth every bit.
Customer service is excellent and bagels are delicious. There is outdoor and indoor seating too.
This Einstein Bros Bagels opens really early, at 5AM and consequently closes around 5PM. Â Their variety of bagels is pretty good. Â They have my favorite bagel kind, which is cinnamon raisin. Â I'm also starting to like the 100% Whole Wheat with honey bagels. Â I also like their onion and chive cream cheese. Â You can also buy small tubs for later.
The bagels and cream cheese aren't that cheap though. Â My total is usually around $3 for a bagel and cream cheese. Â Their cup of fresh squeezed orange juice (which ironically has "orange juice concentrate" on its ingredient list) is over $2!
And I also feel like the bagels, while delicious, aren't that filling.
Luckily there are Einstein Bros Bagels coupons in the mail occasionally. Â Also, every Monday-Friday from 3pm-5pm all drinks and bagels are 25% off.
EVERYTIME i go to this bagel shop my experience is horrible. Most times, however, I go for work meetings and such, so i don't really have a choice.
The last time I was there:
- I asked for everything bagels... the girl said, does it look like we have everything bagels???
- Then she told me that my gift card was "broken"
- Then the MANAGER refused to cut the bagels for my meeting (even though there was no one else in line).
I will not be going back. And I have told everyone I know to do the same. They may be the only bagel place in town but they have LOST MY BUSINESS.
Good place to get an inexpensive breakfast or lunch on the island. Â I generally just get a toasted bagel and shmear. Â There are plenty of shmear flavors to choose from, and it doesn't cost more to get the flavored shmear. Â My current favorite is the honey almond spread.
One downside to this place is that I never really feel full after eating here.
Apparently Noah's has now become Einstein Bros. Â Not only do I prefer Noah's as a name for the bagel shop, but also the bagel quality. Â My high school has a program, Bridges, similar to Link Crew at Newport, and students often bring snacks to share. Â A popular edible is bagels and shmear. Â Students from my group contribute money every week so the teacher can provide bagels for the next session.
I don't usually have the stomach for a bagel after second period, but I do pick one up for later consumption. Â Because it is currently fall, Einstein Bros has a pumpkin flavor. Â I love pumpkin, so I chose that one to take home. Â I brought it as lunch one day the following week. Â I wasn't impressed by the taste, nor the texture. Â I could barely taste the pumpkin, which made me want to cry. Â In addition, the bagel was pretty tough. Â Oddly, parts of the bagel were soft (but still unenjoyable). Â
Time to venture for a better bagel.
