ok, seriously AWESOME service!! We just told her what kind of beer we were looking for and the waitress was extremely knowledgeable about all the different beers they had (and they have A TON!!!) The best part about this place is they have great food to go with the beer! I've never been disappointed here (I've gone for dinner and lunch) and I don't think you will be either!
Review Source:Good food, good service and great atmostphere.
Had a mid-day lunch- loved the range of specials on the menu as well as the staple brewery fare (burgers, pizzas, fries). Â They make a killer root beer as well!!!
Fries are amazing... crispy on the outside and buttery soft on the inside! Â
Try the specials and the house-made soup is is delish!
- Best beer anywhere: their half a dozen or so in-house brews are certified organic, and as a result very high quality. Plus several other beers on tap add to the great selection. Â They rotate in one nitro cask and one beer engine selection, and have even more choices in bottles and/or cans.
- Excellent food: very good burgers, great fish & chips, and I really like their jambalaya.
- Great atmosphere: not a dive but not stuffed shirt, lively but not too loud for the most part, great people working for you there, simple wood and brick decor, handful of TVs to take in a game, suitable for kids.
It doesn't get much better than this!!!
This was my first stop in West Seattle as a new resident!
I came in for a quick bite during HH before running some errands. Â
They had some tasty food options -- I ordered the Chipotle Carnitas Nachos while Sara Q. ordered the Chili Tostados. Â Both were really flavorful and filling. Â I also ordered the Luna Weizen to wash it down (light and refreshing) and I was ready to tackle my errands for the rest of the day. Â
We kind of picked Elliott's because it was the first establishment we saw that was offering HH, but I'm really glad we stopped in. Â Looks like I'm going to have to come back for their burgers.
Love this place! The staff is always super friendly and the food is always good. I've become a huge fan of the Frambacider (Cider + Raspberry Lambic) recently so I highly recommend that to anyone who may not particularly like beer or just wants something a little bit fruity. I will bump up my rating to 5 stars if, and only if they start serving the sweet potato fries that they do at the Burien location!
Review Source:I came here to meet a girlfriend for lunch. I liked that there was lots of free street parking. The service was mediocre (we had to find her to ask for our check). But otherwise, the food was decent and it was a good quiet spot for a casual bite! I would come back for lunch again if I happen to be in West Seattle.
Review Source:Elliot Bay is situated in the relatively sleepy neighborhood of West Seattle. There are a cluster of businesses around and Elliot Bay is a nice distraction.
We did not get a full on meal but what we got was good. Steve and I ordered a large plate of nachos and they tasted real good! Yum!
Their beer is good too! I got a good pale ale from these guys. Excellent!
Throw in some cooly designed t-shirts and the combination is winning and quite fetching!
Though they did not have it on tap I got their Riot Ale t-shirt!
Good service too!
Looking forward for a return trip!
Eh, this place is just ok. A typical brewery with burgers and fries. Can't speak to the beers since I didn't have any. Fries are good, but the burgers and sandwiches are pretty standard.
HOWEVER, the brownie dessert was amazing. There were just two of us but we thought we could handle it. nope, when it came out it was a ginormous brownie with multiple scoops of vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, nuts and whipped cream. Nom nom nom...
Very good burgers and sandwiches, and the rotating beer tap does not disappoint. I also just discovered the Brewer's Special, which is a cheap soup and half-sandwich from 11 - 3 ... I had a meatloaf sandwich with horseradish and an excellent meaty soup to go with it. Service is always very good - just the right amount of attention.
The atmosphere warm and laid back - just like you'd want in the neighborhood tavern. This place is low-key and a good stop for comfortable eating. There are private booths along the walls and more open tables in the middle for a rowdier feeling. Upstairs is a carpeted section with sports on TV.
I've been here five or six times - thumbs up!
Like any great brewery they pair the food with the beer and the beer with the food. They have a menu that supports a full range of items to pair with everything they
have on tap. Something for everyone.
Great fish and chips and a great IPA, it's nice and hoppy but not to bitter.
Even if it is a brewery it would make a great date spot, it has a nice dark atmosphere
and mid range noise level.
I found dinning there to be a delight on all levels, staff included.
Food was mediocre but the service was excellent! Â From the hostess, to the bartender, to the waitress, every staff member was an absolute joy to interact with.
The "spicy" wings were far from it. Â They were wings, but I wouldn't call them spicy. Â The clams however, were pretty good.
Beer was just OK. Â The hef that they had was quite clear and very light tasting. Â Maybe it was just a bad batch? Â The pint of Pilot Light I had was good, however.
So take a flight here. You won't regret it, but by far the no doubt stout is what you want to enjoy. Â Had some great fish and chips here, I think fish and chips always goes well with beer. The service was great! Our waitress had the best recommendations on starters for happy hour(I WISH I COULD REMEMBER HER NAME TO GIVE HER SOME PROPS) This is a great stop along all there is to see on California Ave.
Review Source:We first came here for an impromptu happy hour. Â Walking by, we'd always noticed a crowd inside - must be a good sign!
I've had several styles of their beers, and I've liked them all. Â There is a beer rotation, and the current beers are listed up on the chalk board over the bar, so look here for the most up to date beers. Â My latest fave is the Demolition Ale.
We ordered the pulled pork sliders and the goat cheese salad during happy hour. Â I wasn't impressed by either. Â The pulled pork sandwiches were good sized and enough for a meal in my opinion, but were lacking overall flavor. Â Maybe they needed more sauce. Â The goat cheese salad is basically a deep fried hockey puck of goat cheese on top of lettuce and cucumbers. Â We didn't even finish it.
We went back for dinner a couple weeks later, and Elliott Bay redeemed themselves in the food arena. Â I got the Bayou burger, which was topped with Cajun seasoning, andouille sausage, and sauteed peppers and onions. Â It was well cooked and well seasoned. Â For a side, I got the quinoa salad - you don't see that too often. Â It had a tangy vinaigrette and fresh veggies in it. Â Yum!
I'll go back for the happy hour drink specials, but I'll steer clear of the sliders and salad. Â The burgers are a winner!
Omg I love the combination of Raspberry beer and Elliott Bay Stout.
I forgot what the combination is called, but it's on the menu and it's amazing. I've tasted almost every beer on their menu and that combination is great!
Very rich, almost like dessert. But it you want to make your friends jealous, get that..maybe called raspel stout or something similar.
Also I almost always go for happy hour. and don't forget the $1.50 cupcake! yum! I like sweets, can you tell?
Also get the nachos & pulled pork. they are yummy, easy to share and you get your money's worth.
I went recently and got a salad for dinner, it was yummy, but forgettable.
All I have to say is, local hangout!! Â Been here twice now. Â Wow the crew is so nice and even the guest are super friendly. Â I just moved up to WA and really enjoying going here.
they have a huge selection of home brews, and the best part, as I learned today is you can mix and match brews. Â the food is pretty tastey too. Â
If you find yourself on this side a town and want a bre and some good good come on by to Elliott Bay. Â Next on my list is going to there two other locations.
As a newcomer to West Seattle, I feared there would be a lack of decent restaurants. Â So far this really hasn't been true, and Elliot Bay Brewery has much to do with that. Â I'm a regular at this place and the food and service have always been consistently good. Â
There are so many reasons to love Seattle, and awesome brew-pubs would be on that list. Â I'd easily put Elliot Bay near the top of my favorite pubs.
The only negative is that it's sometimes difficult to get a table!
Is it possible to love two Elliott Bays? It feels like I am cheating on the Burien Elliott Bay for loving this location, but it's true. Each place is distinctly different but with the same perfect pub feeling. You can get the same amazing brews at each location and the core menu favorites are there but to keep me visiting them both they've added a few distance differences that make the drive always worth it.
They don't get enough credit for being super green. Seriously, you could put a super hero cape on them and that's how captain green they are. Even your straw will dissolve if it's in liquid long enough, not to mention all their food and ingredients are either local, organic or both. They don't need to toot their own horn about it because when your place does things this right who needs the credit when you have hoards of happy returning customers.
PS all food allergies are accommodated, and vegan are welcome! Seriously even creative menu items beyond hummus.
The ONLY reason they don't get 5 stars is because the service was so-so and although they were pleasant, and busy, the servers just kinda stood around the bar were quite inattentive.
The burgers and fries here are amazing.
Happy hour specials are great, the nachos are really good.
The coffee is fresh and comes in a huge, and I mean HUGE mug, much like a soup bowl, with real cream. Â
I'm a fan and will be going back.

Went back today and my review remains the same.
In fact, I think I had the same server. *sigh*
The wings?! Â AWESOME.
I'll continue going back :)
Next time I'll sit at the bar...lol.
My partner in dining and I were trying to visit each restaurant we found in W. Seattle once before we returned to any one establishment. Â We broke that rule with Elliott Bay Brewery and Pub.
The service here is warm and attentive. Â The place has a bar with televisions if you want to catch the game. Â And the beer is darn good. Â This time we particularly enjoyed the Pale Ale (think it was called Demolition) and one the darker porters... need to remember to jot down the names!
We dove into the steak chili nachos before I handled my No Doubt Stout barbecue burger... so good....
Great beer, great selection, great service. Â
This review is only based on the beer because we already ate before we came but the food looked really good. Â They had a number of delicious beers and a fairly decent variety. Â Lots of focus on hops w/4 IPAs.
Would definitely recommend beer lovers to venture to this brewery
I really wanted to like this place, so I waited a few visits before reviewing. First and second time I went either my food or my companions food was cold. Its kinda hard to watch your food sit in the window for ten minutes before your waiter brings it to you. Â Anything I have ever eaten from here has tasted awesome, just occasionally cold.
The service is sub par at best. The servers seem uninterested and are hard to be found when you need them. A little revamp in service and in hustling to get the food from under the heat lamp to the table will greatly improve the place.
Fantastic. Came here for the first time about 2 months ago, and have been back many many times. The late night happy hour is great, I always order the Nachos ($4.50 or so, and enough for 2 people) and my friend always gets a No Doubt Stout  Float (the Elliot Bay Brewery No Doubt Stout with a scoop of ice cream). They also have a great line up of beers, and a fantastic Sampler (I told my waitress I don't really like IPAs, and she made a custom sampler to accommodate my tastes, it was awesome)
The staff are friendly, the restaurant is never too busy or over packed, and they sell growlers of their beer. A must-go spot!
I took my father and his partner here for Father's Day dinner! It was loud, had a few too many kids for a place called a "Brewery and Pub," but the food was really good!
My dad and I wanted to split two plates, and the waitress picked up on that and had the kitchen split them--it wasn't a simple "slap half a sandwich on a new plate," they actually split the food, sauce, fries, etc! I know it's a small detail, but I appreciated it!
Father and co had beers, which were tasty, but I stuck with wine, which was also good! Their food was flavorful, portions were generous, and prices were reasonable. Okay, so I spent $81 (without tip) for three entrees, an appetizer, four beers and two wines. I'd say that's fair!
I would go back here again--the food was tasty and I would love to try their beers. My major complaint is that it was SO noisy.
If you come here with low expectations you'll do just fine.
The outside of this restaurant is very unassuming and you would have no idea the liveliness of this place unless you walked in. Â
It is a pub, so they only serve beer and wine. Â Funny though, when hubby and I went, it took "3 times a charm" to order a wine they were not out of.
When we received our drinks and ordered our meal, our server came by and said she was going on break and that the bartender will watch over us. Â I never experienced a server taking a table then leaving for a break? Â We did see her towards the end of our meal, which really couldn't come soon enough.
Hubby and I both ordered the buffalo burgers, hubby had a side of coleslaw and I opted for the fries. Â Both were just ok. Â I understand paying extra for free-range buffalo, but not if it has been previously frozen. Â You can go to the Metropolitan Market and get it fresh. Â So, we were served thin frozen patties with over-sized buns. Â Nothing tasted bad, but nothing memorable. Â
Suggestion: Â Do not sit at a booth. Â While I LOVE booths, I do not think these have been cleaned in a long time, certainly not the backs of them. Â I almost sat back into some unidentifiable dried ketchup glob and hubby's back booth had greasy messes all over his. *disgusting* Â
Also, for some unknown, inexcusable reason, inconsiderate parents think the booths are a jungle gym and allow their restless children to crawl all around them to completely ruin a relaxing and fun dining experience.
Will we be back? Â I don't know. Â If we are super hungry and have no where else to go, I guess.
Came here to try their HH with my gf and it was very good especially the beer's we had ordered.
I had the Frambacider and my gf had the Frambaweizen and we both were amazed by the combination of fruit flavors in the beers. It made it taste extra special than your traditional beer. The combination of my beer had a cider and raspberry mixture. Best beer I have ever tasted!! Too bad it wasn't part of the HH menu otherwise I would have gotten another one.
The HH menu is pretty small so we ordered a pulled pork slider which came with two sandwiches and some coleslaw. The serving was large which we shared between the both of us and we were pretty full by the time we finished. We had also ordered a clam dish made with wine sauce from the regular menu and it was very filling and tasty.
Overall we had great service and the place was quite busy when we got there. A good find for HH which is from 3 to 6.
Fries are sooooo good. Bacon cheeseburger was just okay, not quite sure what all the hype is about. I had a slice of Kauai pizza at Talarico's right before this and I must say i prefer the food there must more.
Our waitress was awful. We asked her for the beer list and she yelled at us "okay, is everyone listening?" and then proceeded to stumble through her dialog of beers. she was just rude. We disliked her very much.
Service definitely makes a difference! I rarely give 5 stars, okay maybe I do, but this place seriously deserves it for the service. I've been here a ton of times and the service is always friendly and attentive, so I keep coming back. The clientele is usually young couples with kids or grandparents googling over the kids that come in. It's really chill.
This last time we came in here was on #snowmarggedon. We decided to walk to the Farmer's Market and then needed to take break from the heavy snow and get something warm. We tied the dog outside (he was fine) and got warm.
This is where they get their 5 stars. We (not me) totally went Portlandia on them. Remember the episode where they ask about the chicken and they end up living at the free range farm for 5 years? Well, not that bad, but there was question after question. The server was awesome and then the Manager stepped in and was also super accommodating to one of our party's annoying requests. He brought free samples of their soups and changed ingredients around to meet such demanding (again annoying requests). They warmed up my apple cider and off we were.
The food was good as always. Come in and check out their every-changing brews.
I like this place, I have been about a gazillion times and know the menu by heart.
Almost all of it is fantastic, with the rare item leaving me 'meh' once in a while, ironically, the desserts aren't my favorite most of all. Â And you may have heard, I love me a dessert. Favorite items are: Blackened Ahi Tuna Sandwich, Pulled Pork Sandwich and Fries, Burgers (all really good) and the Nachos are also pretty damn good. Â RIP to the Italian Sandwich, it was my husband's favorite but off the menu now.
The service here can go from really good to 'meh' as well, depending on the server, we've mostly had good to really good, but a few times, they were off their game and things weren't brought out that were ordered and/or the waitstaff couldn't be bothered to actually allow us to pay our check.
It's the original location and I like it here except in the summer when it gets kinda toasty if it's a hot one.
Overall, if you're in the neighborhood, stop in, and make sure to try the beer, as a girly-beer drinker, I like the Frambaweizen... yum!
Elliot Bay Brewery is one place you can come to knowing you're going to get consistently good food and great beer.
I CRAVE their burgers- my current favorite is the Crumbled Bleu & Bacon. The hot wings are satisfying as well, cooked to perfection with a house made spicy sauce. If I'm in the mood for vegetarian food E.B.B. makes fantastic hummus plates with tons of artichokes and Kalamata olives and warm pita bread. Their salads are HUGE, delicious and filling- I destroy a Cobb or a West Side Antipasto salad from time to time.
'Da Beers- I mostly stick to their No Doubt Stout- because it pretty much ROCKS. If I'm feeling frisky, I'll try a 'blended beer' like the Wolf, which is No Doubt Stout and port wine mixed together. How many places do you know that do that????
Elliott Bay service is always fast and furious too- never had any 'tude from the staff, so that's always good. You can usually find a place to park on California or if that's a lost cause, you can grab a spot in the parking lot behind Husky Deli and cut through between the buildings.
My only beef, and it is a pretty minor one, is that it gets incredibly loud in there with all the bare walls and hard wood surfaces, and it's even worse upstairs where all the crumb-snatchers are screeching away and the barefoot babies are dancing on the tables. Other than that, it's awesome!
