Saturday nights never feel complete unless Ginza is in the mix.
(Just a tip - Ginza is typically an after hours club, so the crowd doesn't usually arrive until around 1:30-2:00 am.)
I think that it's hard to find a club that has the right balance of everything - Music, crowd, dress-code, ambience and decor...But Ginza has it all!
The music always blows me away - House/EDM all night! No ghetto booty songs or glitchy speakers, just a pumping bass that is, sometimes, accompanied by falling confetti.
Next, and perhaps what most people talk about, is the crowd. Yes, the general population is Asians 21-28ish. But I've gone with friends of other ethnic backgrounds and never faced any adversities~
The dress code is always upscale; I don't see girls in shorts like you can see at Zanzabar or whatever. I would compare it to The M in terms of dress.
Lastly, the ambience and decor - the best in Hawaii. This club, when busy, almost feels exclusive and it does get PACKED. But the Ginza attenders are typically regulars so there's a always that thought of "HEY I KNOW THAT GIRL", haha. The bathrooms are clean, the club is nice and the VIP section has amazing couches.
Can't really go wrong with Ginzerzz, give it a try~
Oh boy, the crazy crazy nights I have had a Ginza. LOVE IT! This club is the all time after after party that doesn't close till 4am. Most people come here around 2am after most of the other clubs are closed. This means that most of these people are also wasted and ready to sweaty dance all of that alcohol off. Since it is a partner of Vice, I would say that about 70% of the crowd came from there and once again it is an Asian Invasion. Sometimes I even refer to it as the Asian Zanzabar. Usually the workers at the door are the same and if you came from Vice then you can get into Ginza for free. Just like at Vice, I knew a few of the workers and would easily get in, but I have heard the horror stories of people being overcharged. Sadly this is true and partially the reason I cannot give Ginza the full 5 stars. They charge different people different rates depending on if you are Asian, Hot, or neither. On the one night that my friend was not working a girl tried to charge me $30....wow. I have never even paid that much for a club in Vegas! But then my other friend turned around, saw me and just let me slide on in. Thanks soooo much! Anywaaaays...
Ginza is located in this odd alley between Ward and Alamoana, but once you go inside you are faced with blasting loud music and tons of people dancing all around! The music is SUPER LOUD! Basically just EDM and music I imagine you would hear at a Rave. I swear that on some nights that I have partied here I have spent the whole night without hearing any lyrics or singing. The dance floor can get so crazy and crowded that everyone is literally shoulder to shoulder. Do not go if you cannot handle huge crowds. Even if you try to step outside for air for a bit the little fenced off area is also full off people of which most are also smoking. :/ Still, Ginza has always been the club for me and my friends to rely on Fridays and Saturday Nights. Want to go out but you do not know where to go? It is 1am and you finally finished homework and you want to dance? Your original plans turned to crap, but you don't want to turn around and go home? Then COME TO GINZA! Dance Dance and Dance some more!
Asians everywhere! This place ALWAYS discriminates against me because I'm white. Countless times I've gone with a good ratio of girls to guys and the girls are obviously free but they tried to charge for $50 cover HA!
On another occasion, I went to an event at the Republik and the official after-party was here and supposed to be free with a stamp from the Republik. Got to the door and the tried to charge $15 cover. I laughed at the bouncers face told him he was wrong because of the stamp and left.
If my friends want to go to Ginza that's fine I'll go but I'll hang out outside and grab a bacon wrapped hot dog from the cart across the street.
Man, this place is really hit or miss.
If you're a lady, you're all set for a (late) night out. For guys, I think the cover charge is inversely proportional to how many ladies you are with. So may want to leave the guy friends at home (shyt sucks, doesn't it) ;). Anyway, good looking people here for the most part, although a bit clicky generally.
I have heard good house music here, and decent top 40. Occasionally, the music is really random stuff, but it hardly matters, because it is usually 2-3am by the time you'll get here. Lots of VIP tables here, but they don't seem to fill that much. Wonder why?
I don't really like this club, i was bored at M club, so i came to this club at almost 1am, the club was pretty much empty, filled up like in half an hour, it got all packed, so crowded, too many drunk people coming from other clubs, too many asian, i am asian too but...i have not seen that many asian...im leaving the club at like 2:30am and saw the line outside is ridiculous, almost everybody in line looking high and drunk, i bet there would be a lot more drama than other clubs since this club seems like a place for everyone to go to for more drink when other places close down. Hard to find parkings, and had to pay $5 for parking, its hard to find the club too when i first time came, no sign no nothing, and its next to a strip club. The road is too rough, hard to walk for girls in high heels. People are everywhere outside, drunk walking, and cars and cabs are driving by a lot, not safe...
Review Source:After being slightly disappointed in our first stop earlier in the evening where hardly anyone was dancing, our second stop was definitely FULL of people on the dance floor getting down. Holy yellow people, Batman! Thank goodness I had my 25% Korean I could cling to and claim some asian-ness, else I would have felt super out of place! Well, who am I kidding, I was wearing a cute 1940's style dress with a wig, I stood out anyway, haha...
Our hostess of the evening had the hookup so we bounced happily over to the very short VIP line and flew right in. Well dressed people everywhere, music thumping, lights going... it was a lot to take in, but I was pretty stoked to finally get some dancing done in the middle of a mass of other dancing people. But first- wig check in the bathroom! Long line, as typical for most women's restrooms inside of a club. Went by fast enough though and they had a lady waiting to pump soap in your hands and offer you a random array of products (Spritz of perfume, anyone? Lollipop maybe?) on your way out.
Came back out and was definitely pumped and ready to dance! The music was fun, some top 40's mixed in with house, just blasting from the speakers with lots of laser lights and fun stuff going on in the background. We made a circle of all our peeps and danced our hearts out until 3am. I only had one drink there, but it was your average bar drink- a little light on my gin which is a no-no, but luckily I had a few drinks before arriving there. I previously stated I'm not the clubbing type, but I'd go back to Ginza if suggested for a night cap of dancing. High energy and fun, which is what I'm all about. ;)
Great after hours club! Â By 1:30am this place is popping. Â I was stupid and came at midnight thinking it was a regular club. Â Luckily the two bouncers explained the situation to me and told us to come back when they actually had bartenders and guests. Â We hit up Vice and made our way back to Ginza for our second wind.
I wouldn't go so far as to call this a Vegas club but it is a classier club than others. Â People are dressed a little nicer and the interior is very cool. Â I didn't spot any fashion felonies when I was there. Â Images of city lights and other cool backdrops light up the bar areas. Â Drinks are priced fairly in my opinion. Â Music was a chill mix of house. Â Good DJ. Â When you think Vice is Asian, Ginza somehow 'out-Asians' it and takes it to a whole 'nother level of Asian. Â Luckily my non-Asian friends were fine with being the only non-Asians and we had a fun time. Â
If you know you are going to come here save your energy because they are open until 4am. Â We definitely did not stay that long but even 3am was taking a toll on me. Â Reminded me of when I lived in Vegas. Â Gotta power through and keep going hard. Â I saw one girl repeatedly yawn inside the club. Â Funnies.
Ghetto area. Â Located in what looks like a warehouse but is somehow a club. Â Unmarked door. Â Just look for the line. Â There is a ramp that leads to a parking lot to the right of the door. Â Girls were free when I went and guys were $15. Â Park in the lots if you want to be safe or be like me and risk it and park in some random spot down the alley. Â Check out the rice rockets as you walk back to your car. Â You are literally in the movie, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
I never want to talk down or bad about any business or establishment but I have to write this review.
I have never felt racial discrimination before but after this weekend I can tell you it is alive and well at this night club. I was there along with others to celebrate a friend's birthday and we decided to get the "VIP" Bottle Service and after spending all this money, my friend (african american mixed) and I are roughly kicked out by one of the bouncers.
We were both just hanging out near our table when one of the bouncers grabs my friend by the collar and drags him out and right after, he does the same to me. When asked what we did wrong the bouncer yells "I get off at 4, you can see me then!" Okay. Haven't heard that one before buddy.
I can see if we were causing trouble or if we were drunk or belligerent, but we were literally STANDING next to our table when this happened.
I knew this was an "Asian" club but damn there's no need to kick us out, especially if we are paying customers. I guess I'll just stick to my "brown" crowd, I'll be at Mai Tai's.
VIVA LAS...GINZA?
This club is a definite recommendation to anyone from me. Â I seriously feel like this is my favorite club. Â Everyone is dressed well, the place I modernly decorated, the music is HOUSE, the lights are superb and the place is just CLASSY. Â Anyone would have a blast here and with all of its class, it is by far the closest thing to Vegas that Hawaii has. Â It is somewhat exclusive on the busier nights and they have a pretty strict dress code. Â For clubs, my checklist goes like this: 1. Music 2. Dance Floor 3. Lights 4. Class 5. Drinks.
1. Music: The best music on the island. Â This is definitely a place to go dancing at. Â It is pretty much HOUSE ALL NIGHT, but who doesn't love house? The music just gets you in the mood for dancing and uplifts your energy. Â They always have a live dj on the weekends and they are always awesome!!! Â A couple times they had djs from the mainland and they sure know how to spin house!
2. Dance Floor: Â The biggest and coolest dance floor. Â It is nice wide dance floor. Â I very large square surrounded by the VIP tables on 1 1/2 sides, the dj/stage on 1 and bars on the other 1 Â 1/2. Â I love the dance floor. Â When I say cool, I mean temperature wise. Â They have the coldest dance floor I have ever danced on, but once it is packed and you have been dancing, the coolness is perfect. Â You definitely do not sweat or do not sweat as much as you would in every single club on Oahu.
3. Lights: The lights here totally remind me of Vegas. Â They have really good lights here and a lot of laser lights. Â I love laser lights and it's a good thing to have in night clubs. Â The lighting here is perfect for the house music too. Â With your ears listening to amazing beats and your feet tapping to every sound, your eyes finally get rolled into a mirage of color. Â AWESOMENESS
4. Class: Due to their strict dress code and exclusive membership cards, I think it is pretty classy. Â They do have a high entrance cover for men. Â It ranges depending on who you go with. Â Sometimes I got in for free because of the girls I am with, most times were $15, my first time was $30 and I heard they sometimes charge people up to $100. Â But hey, it's a classy place and worth the club experience, just like Vegas covers right?
5. Drinks: I have never thought my tab here was expensive, so I think the drinks here cost just as much as other clubs. Â That makes it awesome because for a classier experience, the price of alcohol doesn't cost more. Â I also like that they put all drinks in a glass looking cup, not any ghetto plastic cup.
It is open until 4am so I normally end up here after pre-gaming late at another venue or event. Â I suggest you try to get here before 130a, because it will get packed real quick! Â Girls are free on Saturdays!
Ginza never fails me. Â I always have a great time and end up leaving near the end. Â I always get really drunk here and just dance out to the music until I sober up. Â I seriously recommend everyone to go here if you can. Â It is A MUST!!!!
You like Asians? Wanna see people from your highschool, college or hometown? Wanna experience almost Vegas like nightclub? This is the place to be.
Credit card limit is $30. Boo! I don't like to keep an open tab cause I might forget about it later on that night.
For me, it's alright. I'd rather be in Vegas. :D
225/365
I've came here a few times already and it is a pretty nice club thats trying to go for that "vegas" vibe. It is a bit small so the dance floor gets SUPER tight and crowded. Â The music is good with mostly a techno feel. Â I havent bought drinks from here so i'm not sure what the range is but i'm pretty sure its a bit expensive. For parking, its mostly street parking and I think they do valet service (dont know how much). Â I've heard the entrance fee here is crazy expensive for guys, like over $40! Â Overall, nice place to get your groove on :-P.
Used to always frequent this club 2 years ago. Â Currently located where the old Noblesse was, Ginza is a nicely renovated club with modern decor, black countertops, black floor, black leather couches for bottle service, and a big, open dancefloor. Â Usually gets packed in the later hours, around 2 am because this place is open till 4am. Â The crowd consists of mainly Asians, the way I like it. Â I always run into friends here, friends whom I ONLY see in the clubs! Â hah. Â
There's a parking lot up the ramp, but I usually find parking near the area or on the streets. Â The lines can get long and crazy, so it's best to go before the crowd shows up, preferably before 2am...
This place has an almost all Asian crowd and stays open till 4am. Â It doesn't start getting crowded till 2am but it will get packed. Â We try to go early to avoid waiting in line. Â I went on a Friday night before but usually go on Saturdays. Â It wasn't too crowded on Friday.
From the outside, the place doesn't like anything special but the inside is pretty nice. Â The AC is cool but of course it gets hot when lots of people show up. Â The dance floor is pretty big and they play some good hip hop jams. Â Some people really dress up when coming here. Â The drinks are not cheap and I don't think they have any specials. Â I usually find street parking close by.
$35 for a piece of shit hole in the wall? $15 for a shot of JW (a $35 club has bartenders that don't know what a whiskey glass is)? Anyone that's ever been to a real club in Asia or the Mainland will fucking laugh at this sad little place for charging so much. Save yourself the money, go home, and sleep. And no, your one shitty city wallpaper decor does not make you an expensive night club.
Review Source:Definitely came on an off night I am guessing. Â Got here on a Friday night during my vacation and it was not even hopping until about 1am. Â
Overall, I came with good people and was buzzed, the music was decent and had a pretty good time. Â
I would recommend this place for a late night spot after hitting up other bars/clubs.
DANCE PAHTEEH + ASIAN + MOB OF DRUNK PEOPLE
-- need to kno yo --
   - the (cool) crowd don't get there til after 1a
   - lots of dudes, less chicas
   - potentially paying ridiculous cover (try getting a ginza card)
   - house & top-40 music
   - open til 4am
-- oooouu yeeeah --
there's a lot of college kids that go here, and mainly the regulars. Â people either love it or hate it. Â wanna dance, the dance for is a pretty decent size, but it definitely get's a little shoulder to shoulder (if you are afraid of people entering your bubble).
girls: you have plenty boys to chose from, && a lot of them are lookin
-- ugh --
if you ain't asian, you feel it. Â you ain't drunk, you feel it. Â you ain't a chica, you not alone...&& be prepared to pay a huge cover
-- little insights --
we'll probably "end-up at Ginza" is usually how the typical friday or saturday night goes...which also means everyone is shwasted by then. unless you're newly 21, or near there, you definitely feel as though they are letting in under-age people. Â for the most part though, i've always had fun there...
If I reviewed  this place 6 months to a year ago I would definitely give them 4 stars.  Now this place sucks.  It might be me but the girls don't seem as hot as they were before and it seems like there are less of them.  It always seems to be the second destination to party since its open until 4. Â
This is the Asian hangout. Â We used to always get in here for free because my friend's girlfriend is a hot asian girl. Â I am surprised to see people pay $30 or to even read about (from other reviews) people paying $80 to get it in! Â That is ridiculous. Â This bar/club is not that cool. Â Save your money. Â You aren't missing out on much. Â If you gonna spend $80 just go next door to Misty 1. Â You can check out my review on this place in my no cover tour list. Â I was kidding about going next door to Misty 1 unless you are crazy then go ahead.
This club is located in a pretty sketchy area. Â Right next to places like Misty 1 haha. Â Dance floor is big. Â DJ is usually good (I believe its DJ Shift thats the good DJ). Â Drinks aren't too pricey. Â Female bartenders are hot. Â But the place is just not as cool as it used to be. Â Maybe it has lost its swag. Â Definitely not as many good looking girls going here any more (or maybe I'm going on the wrong nights). Â
I wouldn't consider going to this place unless I really had to. Â Sorry Ginza...I did have some good times here, but right now you are 2 star worthy.
I'm really glad I didn't pay any cover. Â Unfortunately, my boyfriend and his friend had to fork over $15 each.
I also went here once for a friend's birthday, and the bottle service was terrible. Â The waitress was slow and bitchy and I'm pretty sure they took advantage of my (drunk) friend and overcharged her for it. Â At least we got to sit down - if you're not getting bottles or macking on other people who are getting bottles, be prepared to stand the whole time.
That being said, I'm not a big clubber and I've been told by people who are that this is one of the better clubs in Honolulu. Â To their credit, they pour the drinks strong, but for $9, they'd better be. Â
If you're not into creepy dudes who paid $30 for a chance to hump you on the dance floor or underage Asian girls in not-quite-dresses, find something else to do on a weekend night.
Very good vibe inside this place. Â Couldn't ask for nicer wait staff or bar staff. Â Very, very helpful and unassuming. Â You know how you go into some clubs and you expect an air of arrogance... for lack of a better word... from the staff? Â This place is nothing like that, although you may disagree if you aren't a VIP cardholder. Â (Which I'm not by the way- we were there actually before they normally open for a birthday party)
Limited beer selection (No imports other than Heineken and no wheat beers) and no olives for my wife's dirty Martini but other than that this place works for a late night spot after hours I suppose... Although good luck finding me there then. Â We left before 11, when I'm told it starts ramping up, but it was a great space to hang out. Â Nice leather couches along the perimeter nicely done flooring and murals behind the bars of the actual Ginza in Tokyo.
The Valet was great too.
For what it is made for, this club seems like it fits the bill perfectly. Â Rock on you party animals... I'll be there the next time someone has another before-opening birthday party.
So Yelp is prompting me to write a review because I'm a "regular"... Um, okay, kinda weird, so what're you tryin' to tell me????
Okay, damn, I admit it, I'm a regular. Â I kind of love it here. Â It's always a good time, so what can I say? Â I know the bouncer, Jae, and he's cool, always taking care of me and making sure I'm safe. Â They always bump the best songs and I love to dance, so I have a great time. Â The bartenders never rip us off with weak drinks, bottle service is totally reasonable, the people are beautiful, they're open till FOUR am, and I always run into someone I know. Â It's great! Â
Aaaand I guess it helps that I'm asian. Â :)
$80 COVER!!? Â LOL!!!!! Â
This is what's funny to me... I'm from LA, I work in an industry where we get 'hooked up' at the most legit clubs in LA and Vegas... I've been to the clubs that Ginza wants to be (or thinks it is). Â This warehouse, flanked by a dive bar and a airport-type of strip club is not even close. Â It looks like a fish market from the outside.
I was told they want to be an "exclusive" club... totally fine. Â To be exclusive you have to become the first destination for club-goers. Â Everyone has to be dressed to LA standards. Â Then, you have to have the hottest women. Â They fail on all three accounts.
This is the place people 'stumble' to after the good clubs close, not people's first choice; they go there because it's the only option when the other clubs close. Â On a Saturday night, there was no line and the people with their, um, "membership" card were these chubby schlubs with cheap polos and dirty jeans, with battered tennis shoes... that is the "dress code" of an "exclusive" club!? Â No collared shirts, slacks, dress shoes needed... wow. Â
And yeah, so the only reason we went there was because the first club we went to closed at 2am (and it was damn fun) so we headed over here because one of our group was a 'member'. Â It was us two and five girls... they guy said it would be $80 each!!!! Â (I literally am laughing while writing this.) Â We thought we heard them wrong... $80... for an hour and a half? Â LOL!!!
For $80, it'd better be Tao in Vegas and all three Kardashians had better be drinking with me all night, well, not the big one :)
Clubs usually gain popularity through word of mouth. I learned about Ginza by hearing of their RIDICULOUS cover charge of $30. The running rate for all other clubs is about $15, and Ginza should be no special exception to this. The club is just an overcrowded warehouse with the same commodities as every other club: bars, a dance floor, live DJ, and inebriated patrons. In an attempt to be more exclusive, Ginza will inevitably follow the same bankruptcy path as its predecessor, Level 4. Unlike the mainland, people in Hawaii don't want to get into overcrowded clubs with insane cover charges.
If you're stamped at Ka (a sister club), you can get in with a $15 cover charge. But seeing as how you'll spend $15 to get into Ka, you'll be giving the owners the total $30 anyways. My advice: get yourself on the guest list or pre-game in the car; it'll save you a bundle for car insurance.
As a plus, the club is open till 4 a.m. and will have the same goers as Ka. So if you didn't quite get all seven digits from that one girl, you've got another couple hours to get the job done.
I have been here twice in the past few weeks always on Saturday and have enjoyed each and everyone of those visits. Â As I used to go clubbing a lot, it meets my definition of a good club. Â The standards I use to judge a club are:
1) The sketchiness of the place (I believe this club to be not sketchy at all as its filled mostly with local guys who know when to back off when a girl does not want to dance with them)
2) The cleanliness of the bathroom (they have a bathroom attendant and while I always feel weird when the lady hands me paper towels and such at least the bathrooms are clean)
3) Â The music (I like to dance to Top 40 or something with a good beat)
4) Â The dance floor (this is a great place to be if you like to dance as it seems like everyone is dancing and its a big enough space to accommodate lots of dancers)
That's the basic list of things that I look for, I have to take one star off though since there is basically no parking and if you don't want to valet you need to hope for a miracle for a close street parking.
Ok GINZA is supposed to be the place to be. Â This is true if you're
a)friends of the Race sauce promoters
b)Dont mind paying for over priced beers. Â (5 dollars for a domestic. what?)
c)Don't mind paying out the butt for cover (Last time I paid $20+. Â i know that clubs on the mainland charge that kind of cover but for what it is $20 is ridiculous)
Alright I used to patronize this establishment quite a bit before. Â As of late Ive been having some bad experiences. Â The last time I went I paid $20 and they took the Ginza "membership card" that a friend had given me. Â The membership card was supposed to get me free entrance and didnt have a limited life span. Â Well okay paid my cover and get in. Â if you haven't been to Ginza before, its pretty much a big dance floor and 3 bars. Â Usually gets crowded around 2am when the other bars close. Â Ginza is open till 4am and i believe its free if you go to KA and get their entrance stamp there. (Highly recommended) There aren't any places to lounge at unless you've reserved a table and paid for bottle service. Â If your really want to dance consider "pre gaming" before coming here and definitely go to KA first.
A lot of my friends have told me that Ginza is the place to go clubbing, however I was thoroughly disappointed with the quality of the club.
I will tell you straight up, I am not a fan of Ginza. The room is basically one big dance floor which is always packed, not good for the claustrophobic type. The whole room was also extremely dark, so I found it hard to find my friends on the dance floor. Lounge areas are also difficult to find, the only places available were for the people who had private parties and even so, the area was just one big couch pushed to the side. The music was way too loud (it sounded like the music was screaming right into my ear). It was also extremely difficult to order a drink since the music was too loud and the servers always seem to busy to serve you.
In all, I was fairly dissatisfied with Ginza. Go to Ka instead!
If I'm going clubbing this is the place I like to go
-Open to 4
-Half off drinks till 12
-Chill
-Clean
-Not to crowded
This use to be noblesse where it was a sweat house with one air condition for the entire club, sloppy people with throw up all over the bathrooms, and mokes having fights all the time.
Shake what your mama gave yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! :)
So my friends and I, including my native Hawaiian cousin went bar and club hopping. This was our last club for the night before bar hopping. I must say, I was pretty impress! The club wasn't as nice as Pearl but it definitely had a better music selection! I had fun dancing the night away and also they had a very Japanese theme decor inside with the bridges on the background of the bar. Â T
Drinks are a reasonable price! We got in completely free because one of my cousins knew the bouncer! Thank you Sarn! I think that's our name! The bouncers there are no joke, they seriously don't play though. If you spill a drink or if you're drunk, they will walk you out! If you are DRUNK, please just sit down so you don't get kicked out =P But this really top my club bouncing at Hawaii! Btw, the club stays open until 4AM, so take a nap prior to going out. hahaha
Oh yeah, there was surprisingly a lot of dudes at the club that night! I swear when I walked to the bathroom, some random guy would try to talk to me but overall, they were very respectful and friendly. Not like the guys in the Bay Area who won't  leave you alone even if you have a BF!
Concur with all the Asian comments. While my gfs and I are all Asians, we're all pretty tall (by Korean/Filipino standards, anyway) - so with heels on, we pretty much towered over everyone (including guys). However, we did have fun. It was a nice club, drinks were reasonably priced and music was danceable - along with good friends, that's all you need right?
NOT worth $30 (we got in free, so it didn't matter), but if you did have to pay the full cover - I suggest taking your money elsewhere. Unless they start giving you a free drink or two if you pay the 30 bucks up front, I'd say save your money and go to Pearl or Paparazzi or something.
If you're a single guy, then Ginza is the place you need to be! Ton's of girls! If you're a single girl, then Ginza is where you might want to be. Ton's of guys, but they're all just standing around the dance floor petrified. I don't really know if thats a good thing.
This place is in the old Noblesse/Blackjack location on Kona St. Just go down the street and look for the huge swarm of people standing outside.
The interior is nice. A lot better than blackjack, although it is a bit dark in the lounge area. Once you get to the dancefloor/bar area it's a bit better. Darkness might enhance beer goggles, so use caution when talking to people.
Drinks are half off before midnight so they are pretty cheap. I can't really remember how much they are after, as I'm usually faded.
I hear that there is a cover. I hear it's around $30. I hear if you go to ka first, the cover for ginza is half off if you're a dude, free if you have boobs. Boobs, not moobs. Sorry dudes. I can't guarantee this as I was drunk when I heard it, but try it out and let me know how it goes.
Everyone seems to know each other and are pretty cliquish, so if you roll solo, just make like you own the place. Either that or start a dance battle in the middle of the floor. You'll make friends with everyone :)
We've been coming here a lot, so if you guys see me there, say whats up and we'll have a yelpy in person drink thing!!!
NICE club but also comes with a NICE price. Â $30 to get in??? wtf. Â Thank god I'm a girl so I didn't have to pay, but good luck guys unless you know someone. Â Good music, great decor, quick and friendly bar service. Â
But the crowd isn't THAT nice. Â Someone stole my wallet!!!! I thought this was supposed to be some ritzy fancy place, but i got my 400$ gucci wallet stolen right out of my bag while waiting in line at the bar. It was pretty packed on Saturday night so people are bumping into each other left and right. Â I'm iffy about going back there now. Â I'm pretty bummed. Â But it is a really nice place. Â I'll probably be back once I replace my wallet and make back the 310$ cash that was also in my wallet when it was stolen that night.
I have never been to Tokyo but Ginza Club could be just about as close as I'll get to it in Hawaii. NOT! If you're of the Asian persuasion (I'm half Japanese) or want to swim the backstroke in a sea of Asians then be sure to head on down to Ginza on the weekend. One of my friends who's identity shall remain anonymous to protect the innocent and so he doesn't stop being my friend, absolutely loves Ginza but it's probably because he loves Asian women from Japan. If he could fill a boat full with them and sail off into the Anime sunset he probably would. Karaoke, drinky bars, Asian women...what more does one need to be happy right?
I went to Ginza with my BF and probably ran into every Japanese girl I knew under the age of 26 on the island in about 30 minutes. It was completely bizarre and I asked if they were having Cherry Blossom pageant try outs on the dance floor. My friend Doc Rock was on the mic which I thought was odd, but he speaks Japanese and lived in Japan so I guess that's okay. My poor little brother B was with us and I kept pushing him towards every nice Asian girl that came our way. How about her? Ooo she looks cute! Go dance with her, she wants you! What can I say? I'm his sister and it's my job to help him find me a sister-in-law!
I don't really care for the area or the parking situation but eh it's Hawaii so what options do we really have when it comes to nightlife right? I don't understand why another reviewer said it reminded them of a Vegas club? Are we talking about a Vegas Strip club called Spearmint Rhino? The decor is not going to wow you although I did enjoy the cityscapes that were lit up behind the bar, and honestly I was a little too intoxicated to really care. I must say there's a lot of fun energy at Ginza and when it comes to nightclubs this is very difficult to find. If you're Asian and you want to party with your Asian homies this is where it's at! See you on the dance floor for Cherry Blossom try outs!
Loving the VIP Membership card and how clean the club is! Â Me and my friends like to say that it's the closest thing to a Vegas club that we're gonna get here.
Good drinks, nice seating areas, and VIP membership! Â The only thing that turns me off a little (and a realy little) is the dance floor. Â As Michelle L. said, I feel like a piece of meat, and you know it's all guys chillin at the tables.
It's a trip to know that this place is owned by Race Sauce who also own Ka and Tsunami's. Â I haven't been to Ka yet (but haven't heard too many good things about it) but I have been to Tsunami's and I liked it. Â It was really clean and well designed. Â Lots of seating and cool lighting. Â Very well done, Race Sauce, bravo!
I would suggest going on Saturday night, rather than Friday and it only really goes off at around 2. Â Partayyy!
Also, you can add them on FB and get notifications from them, and when you see the notifications you can tell them to put you on the guest list.
I like this VIP membership thing! Â With the membership card, I get to bypass lines and go in for free. Â I was told cover is $20 for men regardless if they're on the guestlist; unless he's a member. Â
It was the biggest sausage fest I've ever seen in a club EVER but I had lots of fun towards the last 30 minutes I was there when we decided to go shake our booties! Â The one thing that still bothers me is the dance floor. Â It is surrounded by tables for all patrons on one side and bottle service the other side. Â As my friends liked to call it, we "feel like a piece of meat" on display. Â As it gets busier or I get drunker, I barely noticed the voyeurism.
Lots of comfy seats, strong drinks, and my VIP membership card makes it 5 stars for me :D
Normally me and my roommates come over to this club after we've had enough of another club a block away.
The first time that I was here I had a great time and although crowded there was a good vibe with the crowd. The second time we came here i guess word really got out about the club (i'm gonna go and blame Yelp for that) as it was really busy and packed. The downside this time was paying $20 to get in when the first time we were here it wasn't that expensive (to be honest with you I was pretty drunk the last time we were there so I don't even remember how much or even if I did pay).
I would have to say that this club is worth checking out but be careful of going too late otherwise you may not get in.
"Ginza" The Ginza is Tokyo's most famous upmarket shopping, dining and entertainment district, featuring numerous department stores, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, night clubs and cafes.
One square meter of land in the district's center is worth more than ten million yen (more than 100,000 US dollars), making it one of the most expensive real estate in Japan. It is where you can find the infamous $10 cups of coffee and where virtually every leading brand name in fashion and cosmetics has a presence. I remember when I moved here, Noblesse was pretty much the spot to be, especially if you were underage. That place got cracked down, and it reopened to another joint called Blackjack. This time it was different bars with themes from different casinos in Vegas. I guess that place wasn't doing so well and now you get a place called Ginza.
Walking through Kona St. you'll probably have flashbacks about cars just passing you by like crazy, fights that happened here and there, and the security guards telling you to "CLEAR THE ROAD!!!" You stumble upon the entrance of Ginza and it's outer frame still hasn't changed except that it's painted black and you wonder.... Â has this place even changed at all?
Once you step inside it's just all black, you make a left, you hear the loud music, the people talking and once you turn the corner you're pretty much in AMAZEMENT. You'll say "How the heck was this place ever Noblesse / Blackjack?!" It's HELLA nice!
In Ginza you have three different types of bars and with each bar you have a beautiful background picture of some part of Japan. I remembered seeing a night photo of possibly Ginza and the other of Japans Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and I don't know what the background picture is of the third bar that I didn't mention.
The upper part of the lounge has one bar on the right side and towards the left side you have lounge chairs, and little tables if you want to sit and cruise there. The bottom portion of Ginza has high top tables  the remaining two bars, I think another lounge area in the left corner and the dance floor on the immediate left side after the steps if you wanna get your groove on.
Overall this whole place has been redone. We have black carpet and tiling floors, walls that have japanese wooden flare, black marble top bars, and a nice bathroom that's SANITARY!! I cannot stress that enough... the "JOY room" isn't so joyful if it's disgusting haha.
Service is GOOD but it was the first night and I guess they're just testing the water right now, You have 2 bartenders for every bar and you have cocktail waitresses constantly going around checking up on anyone if they needs drinks. I didn't see a pupu menu but I don't think they'll be serving food here because I think they lack a kitchen but hey... these are the same people who ran tsunami's and that place serves food and is one of my favorite places to go to.
I'm thankful to be one of the first people to check out Ginza. I'll definitely be back, but word on the streets is that this place will be a "Members only" joint. We'll see how that plays out.
5 stars for the ambiance
5 stars for the service
4 Stars for drink prices.... they're the same as any other bar.
