Simply great "down to earth" food!
I've been dining at Good Earth Edina for many years and what a treat! The menu is full of yummy food options. It is especially a great place for vegetarians, vegan and gluten-free diners. The food is all natural + they work with local growers and organic suppliers to source all the ingredients. It's also a great place if you're trying to eat healthy, but want a full stomach!
If you're a "fresh, fresh" juice fan, it's a good way to start the meal. This time around I had the Immune-C with fresh wheat grass with a shot of squeezed orange juice. Dinner was the monthly special of the Limousin Beef Pot Roast - slow cooked and served with roasted fingerling potatoes, carrots, cauliflower and beef au jus. It hit the spot on a cold MN winter evening of warming AND filling me up. For dessert I had the homemade Carrot Cake - a more all natural version with lots of carrots  - more savory than sweet - not really my thing.
My only feedback from not making this a five-star review - the atmosphere/decór. As others have mentioned the place feels more like a Denny's than a all-natural organic eatery. The space feels caught in 1991. But great service and excelled food make up for it all. During the summer months, I strongly suggest you eat outside for a more relaxing atmosphere.
Wandering the Galleria, Good Earth seemed so inviting and warm from the outside. So, we made reservations for a Friday night. Glad we did because there was quite a wait for those who didn't.
The server brought us a variety of breads and hummus. This was not exactly the highlight of the meal. The entrees were much better. I ordered a fish special that came with cranberry stuff (salsa? chutney? not sure what word I am looking for here.) and wild rice. I can't remember the details of this dish but I do remember that it was pretty fabulous.
My bf ordered one of their burgers. I was hesitant about this order after his burger experience at French Meadows. I wondered if "healthy, organic"-type restaurants were capable of making juicy, succulent burgers. And Good Earth proved that, yes, they can make awesome burgers.
Our waitress was a little strange that night. She must have been new. She was making all kinds of blunders, not just at our table. I found the atmosphere relaxing- something between casual and fine dining. I will return.
