Grand Star Jazz Club

Went here for a drink at the Beat Swap Meet in LA yesterday. Cheap drinks, hanging out with locals and music/vinyl aficionados alike. Beers in cans, can't go wrong! Had Belvedere and tonics for the finish. Sunday funday!

My buddy and I ducked into this joint during the Hot Summer Nights. Strong pours and friendly service from the cute bartender Lisa made the first visit to this spot really fun. Lucky we came in early and talked shop with Lisa cause when we came back it was packed. She noticed us right away and we snuck off with our drinks while others were looking at us in bewilderment.

There were some locals hanging out when we got there in the late afternoon but the vibe changed to crowded club-type dancing going on. I was game either way.

It doesn't look all that when you first step in but I'm sure if you give this place a chance, you'll find some fun here.
