DELICIOUS!
I didn't expect Izakaya to look the way it did.  The lighting was dim, décor was modern and serene, and located downstairs, beneath the building.
The portions are small, so order several dishes and share. Â
FOOD:
Garlic french fries - perfect starter, crispy and delicious
Miso seabass - firm, great flavor, highly recommend
Sautéed wild mushrooms - creamy, delicious, served with mini baguettes
Sautéed filet mignon with mushrooms - cooked medium although was a little tough
Dashi broth risotto rice - Prepared at your table in a parmesan block (cool!), must try!
Pork belly asparagus - bacon wrapped anything (almost) is good!
Seared beef salad - cooked medium, nice flavor.
I also recommend trying the blueberry lemonade (watch out, it's a creeper) and lychee martini. Â Both were really good and on the sweet side just as I like!
SERVICE:
Friendly, expedient, and personable.
PARKING:
You can park in the garage, just south of Izakaya for $5 (CASH ONLY), or get lucky and find street parking.
