One star seem kinda harsh? Hear me out...

My first night here was a Friday, and it was like a dead landscape after an apocalypse. That was A-ok with me, something about BIG crowds, upsets me...

Anyway, I go to the bar, an empty one at that, and had to wait about six minutes to get my drink. No, no, not because there were people at the bar, because their drinks are so complex they have to work on it like it's some kind of formula that cures disease. After this, I decide to just go for beer the rest of the night.

The next night I'm there is for a birthday shindig, a Saturday night. It was as if the apocalypse was over and everyone had to choose this bar to celebrate. The bar was reasonably full of patrons looking for a drink. I make my way through the crowd and see the bartenders breaking a sweat making the drinks that they have to mix and measure to such precision. My friend and I, mind you my friend is a girl that usually can get a bartender's attention for a drink, begin to flag down a bartender. After a few minutes of frustration my friend asks this bartender for assistance and he replies, "Hold your horses!" Yes, a male bartender, told a female wanting a drink to hold her horses.

Synopsis:
The mixed drinks that are pricey, complex, and not even that great, take ages to make. If you're into the nice looking drink that has ingredients you've probably never heard of (unless you're from Oaxaca :) ) and willing to pay about 10-12 bucks a pop, this place is for you. Their beer selection isn't all that great.

Saturday nights can get crowded, and seems like a certain bartender there doesn't care if you're a man or woman, if he's in a prissy mood he will be catty. And for those of us that are short and not so easy on the eyes, good luck getting some service here, cuz if a woman can't be treated with some chivalry, you're SOL.

Maybe it's just me and my bad luck. But will I ever be back? Eek! Methinks not.

I really liked this place but the price on these drinks were horrible! 4 drinks for $78 !!!!!???? Oh well whatever I had fun. Ambience is good. Good music, good drinks. Bar tenders were really nice.

A cute bar with a couple of booths, a few tables and chairs, one pool table, and an outside patio. I'm a fan of this place, very casual and relaxed. Great tasting drinks. The Los Angeles was good, but the Carlonita is my absolute fave. It was fruity, refreshing, and light. I would definitely go back for that one drink.
