This hidden gem is an awesome watering hole for whiskey lovers...er, well...maybe this "hidden gem" isn't so hidden, because it was so packed I could barely take 2 steps without squishing up next to a new fella. Â Speaking of men, the male to female ratio was perfect -- so many tall, fit, well-dressed men!
Seven Grand attracts a TON of people. Â Thankfully, said folks were easy on the eyes and amiable as well. Â
The design features that I could see through the sea of bodies were stunning antique architectural details. Â
Also, the employees were polite, friendly, and skilled mixologists. Â
If I have to complain about Seven Grand, it's that it's too damn crowded! Â C'est la vie, good things attract huge followings for a reason.

Side Note:
A friend invited me to Seven Grand, some how, I ended up in line outside of Seven Bar (not the same thing, totally different crowd, not at all appealing to me). Â When he finally came, he took me down the block to Seven Grand, which I thought was Mas Malo. Â Eventually, some kind Yelper informed me that my Mas Malo review sounded like it was really for Seven Grand. Â So here it is, finally in its proper place. Â =)
I love this place. It probably ranks up there as one of my favorite bars in LA. I've been here a few times and always had a good experience. It's a whiskey bar and they take their whiskey pretty serious - about  MILLION options are available to you and range in prices from your standard $10 drink to THOUSANDS.
I've only had to wait to get in once, and I think that's because our group arrived later in the night. Otherwise, you walk right in and the bouncer gives you a little card for $1 off an Old Fashioned (woohoo!) This deal is only at the Jackalope bar which is on the right, past the pool table all the way in the back where the cocktail tables are.
Vibe is great, people are having fun in a classy looking place (that has animal heads on the wall) and nice, strong drinks that aren't ridiculously expensive.
