Came here for my birthday and was able to reserve a few of the corner tables. The food is good, the drinks are stiff and they have live music. Definitely not a place for everybody but if you wanna hang out with some friends and keep it low key...then this is your spot! It's located in a somewhat industrial area and has its own parking lot.
The place was filled with quirky and cooky 30 something's but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Don't come here and expect it to be a place to see and be seen...it's more of a local throwback bar. Apparently, Asian people love to frequent this joint although I only ran into a few of my fellow people that evening. Bottom line: If you wanna get swervin, meet some interesting people and not break the bank...this is your spot.
Pros:
- Great beer selection
- Friendly bartender
- Fun live bands
- Lively atmosphere
- Outdoor patio
Cons:
- Damn expensive
- In a kind of sketchy looking area
- Clearly they don't cut people off from drinking, because when I was there, there was a really drunk man who interrupted the band playing by grabbing the mic and proceeded to ramble drunkenly for at least 5 minutes. When my sister-in-law graciously tried to politely retrieve the microphone from him by simply changing the subject and saying "let's hear it for the band!", the drunk guy proceed to unleash a minute's worth of racist "YOU'RE ASIAN, CHING CHONG CHING CHONG, WASABIIII" bullshit at her. No one from the venue stepped in the entire time this whole thing was going on. Luckily for the drunk guy, we're calm people, but other people might have punched him for being such a racist dick. I wish the staff was more responsive and responsible - if they'd stopped serving this clearly staggering drunk guy and if they'd stepped in to advocate on behalf of the band and of my sister-in-law, a lot of people would have had a better experience, and my party would probably have stayed longer. Just saying.
