Caña Rum Bar

i LOVE the ambience very low key not to mention the bad ass DJ they had there mixing everything from early 90's hip hop to carribbean music, the drinks are awesome-no literally nothing you order will disappoint. i got something called Pixie..... and another Citrus.....something lol, i mainly saw $13 as the average drink price but I'm sure they vary. Membership is $20 and that gets you up to 7 people in with you each visit, definitely a place i'd visit again....and again.

Love Cana Bar! A little tricky to find, definitely; the last time we went, even us veterans noticed the usual entrance was closed, and found ourselves wandering down a ramp into the parking garage. We aimlessly wandered till a bemused parking lot attendant found us, exclaimed, "How did you get down here?!" and led us in the right direction.

Once inside, it's a cool, cozy environment with dimmed lights and a good amount of tables and booths to sit at. There's also a covered patio outside to take advantage of if you like to enjoy a cigar with your rum - this is where my usual party always ends up eventually, lounging on the seats next to the fire place.

Membership is $20, but it's worth it. Not only are the drinks great (I mean, where else can you get your drink served in a whole coconut? If there's another place in LA, let this girl know ASAP!), but the staff really knows their stuff about rum. They have rum tastings once a month, and I've only been to one of the tastings, but that experience really made me appreciate the subtlety and nuances of a good rum. Sailor Jerry's, I'm sorry, but you just ain't cuttin' it any more...

Also worth noting: pretty sure you don't need to be a member as long as you're with someone who's already a member. Enjoy!

Wow Brazilian necktie. I came to this beautiful and amazing bar. The service is was amazing. I love my waiter (sarcastic but really cool) definitely come back. Oh the 20 dollars membership is worth it. See you guys here.
