Happy's Irish Pub? I don't understand how they think they can call this place a pub. It looks like a pub, but it sure as hell doesn't feel like one. It feels like any other super generic bar in Baton Rouge.
This place is really small. Like ludicrously small for the amount of people that sometimes come here. You cant even move. When it's like this, good luck ordering a drink. You are only getting something in a reasonable amount of time when you know one of the bartenders. The only time you will get decent service here is when they aren't very packed.
Some nights they will open the back patio and have bands play there. When they do this it's a lot easier to get a drink as they put a temporary bar outside.
One of the main draws for this place is the bartenders. It's kind of  like a Hooters/Twin Peaks type outfit that the bartenders and waitresses wear.
I don't like this place at all, but it's not the worst bar in Baton Rouge. There have also been times where I've come here and had a good time, just that those times are very rare.
Great Irish pub. Considering it's not owned by authentic irish pub owners, they do a great job of keeping the irish pub feel.
It's definitely not authentic, but very enjoyable.
I am a Guinness lover but only drink it out of regularly rotated taps which there are only a couple in Baton Rouge.
The crowds at Happys are always great and I almost always have fun here. The space is a little constrained but you can go out back where they build a nice wooden stage and there is plenty of space.
Happy's Irish Pub was incredible!!! i have been on several occasions at different times of the day and night. It has Multiple atmospheres where you can seclude yourself or be right in the middle of the Action. Front and Back booths where you and some friends can hang out and take some shots or the back "happy land" area where on a weather cooperating day, you can sit and have pretty girls wait on you hand and foot. The drinks are not as pricey as some of the other places downtown. Good selection of draft beers and even better when the back patio is open. Me and my wife went for a live after five and it got pretty packed. A random drunk guy spilled a drink on my wife's foot and the manager came over and bought her a drink for the inconvenience. Great place and fun atmosphere!!! We will definitely be going back.
