Happy's Irish Pub? I don't understand how they think they can call this place a pub. It looks like a pub, but it sure as hell doesn't feel like one. It feels like any other super generic bar in Baton Rouge.
This place is really small. Like ludicrously small for the amount of people that sometimes come here. You cant even move. When it's like this, good luck ordering a drink. You are only getting something in a reasonable amount of time when you know one of the bartenders. The only time you will get decent service here is when they aren't very packed.
Some nights they will open the back patio and have bands play there. When they do this it's a lot easier to get a drink as they put a temporary bar outside.
One of the main draws for this place is the bartenders. It's kind of  like a Hooters/Twin Peaks type outfit that the bartenders and waitresses wear.
I don't like this place at all, but it's not the worst bar in Baton Rouge. There have also been times where I've come here and had a good time, just that those times are very rare.
Great Irish pub. Considering it's not owned by authentic irish pub owners, they do a great job of keeping the irish pub feel.
It's definitely not authentic, but very enjoyable.
I am a Guinness lover but only drink it out of regularly rotated taps which there are only a couple in Baton Rouge.
The crowds at Happys are always great and I almost always have fun here. The space is a little constrained but you can go out back where they build a nice wooden stage and there is plenty of space.
Happy's Irish Pub was incredible!!! i have been on several occasions at different times of the day and night. It has Multiple atmospheres where you can seclude yourself or be right in the middle of the Action. Front and Back booths where you and some friends can hang out and take some shots or the back "happy land" area where on a weather cooperating day, you can sit and have pretty girls wait on you hand and foot. The drinks are not as pricey as some of the other places downtown. Good selection of draft beers and even better when the back patio is open. Me and my wife went for a live after five and it got pretty packed. A random drunk guy spilled a drink on my wife's foot and the manager came over and bought her a drink for the inconvenience. Great place and fun atmosphere!!! We will definitely be going back.
Review Source:Happy's is the kinda place where every time you go back, their drinks have increased in price. I used to love their happy hooligans back when they were $5 a pop (I'm sure they started even cheaper than that, but I wasn't around for it). A little pricey, but for an awesome tasting drink that was decently strong, I paid it. Went back a few times, and the had migrated up slowly from $5 to $6. I'd buy them still, but sorta grudgingly. Few more visits and they were up to $6.50. I'd scrape together the cash for 1 or 2, but deep inside I felt me and the hooligan were going to be breaking up soon. $7 hit and I bailed. Fuck me, but I can't see how it's worth it. It gets you tipsy, but not $7 tipsy. I'd rather go down the street to puncher's and get a donkey punch, or schlittz and giggles and get a horribly overpriced schlits, then pay that much. Sorry Happy's, but when you inflate your prices that much that fast, you lose my business. Take it slow and steady and I may be coming back, cause if you took it slow they'd probably only be $6 still. As far as the bar itself goes, it tiny, crowded, smoky, and kinda questionable. The first 3 are to be expected and tolerated. The sketchy customers make it a little less fun. B&T down the street has a much nicer crowd. Happy's won't be seeing me back any time soon, unless some seriously hot poon drags me there.
