House of Sushi and Noodles

Oh man. This place is right up my alley. I'm a sushi fiend and my boyfriend is nicknamed "The Garbage Disposal" so we had a really, really great experience here.  
We actually traveled for an hour to find this place, and my boyfriend was scared that the restaurant would be super crowded so we left at 11 am to get there right at noon when the sushi lunch buffet started (at this time, there was only one other occupied table).

I was surprised by the outside of the restaurant... if I hadn't already heard great things about this place, you couldn't pay me to eat raw fish from here.  Inside the restaurant, the decor is a bit dated and tacky and the air is a little nippy, but believe me when I say ZOMG YUM, eating at an a la carte sushi buffet should be on all of your bucket lists.  

I don't know whether to be embarrassed or proud to say that between my boyfriend and I, we ate 10 rolls and 3 appetizers to ourselves.  Finished everything... no leftovers!  Among my favorites were the Christmas roll, Dynamite roll and salmon and avocado roll.  The fish is fresh and the flavors are great... and there is no shortage of specialty rolls on the buffet menu! For the price ($16.95/head), this is definitely a 5-star experience. Nom.

Came here with a group of 5. We waited about 25 minutes before we got our table because the place was packed. The restaurant is really small so it doesn t seat a lot of people. However, we were very hungry and really wanted the all you can eat. So the rule is that each person can order 2 rolls per round. So the first round, we ordered 10 rolls. Each roll has about 8 pieces of sushi. Normally, all you can eat places skimp on the fish. However, this place does not. The fish was fresh and the sushi came out relatively fast considering how many small the restaurant was and how many people were there. We demolished the 80 pieces of sushi. As this was going on, we then ordered 9 more rolls for round #2. We ended up waiting about 10 minutes after we had eaten all the sushi on round #1 before round #2 came out. The 72 pieces of sushi were then demolished. 2 of our members stopped eating half way through so the rest picked up the slack. Round # 3 came around and 8 rolls were ordered. By now, we had been here for about 1.5 hours. The 64 pieces of sushi were then killed off by the 3 remaining survivors. At this point, they waiters didn t even ask us if we wanted round #4. They just gave us our bill. I guess they were fed up that we completely abused the $20 all you can eat. We then ordered the desert ice cream which is fantastic. I highly recommend it. It is not like your regular ice cream but with a twist. The mango and green tea were ordered and finished off very fast. We then ordered another round of this ice cream and killed that off as well.

We had come on a Saturday night with plans to go out later in the evening. However, with the amount of food that had been consumed, this was no longer an option. I will come back here!!

If you stop in this place for the buffet you will go home a happy man or woman! The price for the all you can eat buffet is around $15.00 and the service is incredible! I have been here several times and truly can't wait for my next visit. The Kani Balls are outstanding and I would have to agree that the best Sushi rolls consist of: the San Francisco , Snow Fuji, Christmas and Caterpillar. I also like the relaxing music they play in the background.
