Howl at the Moon Dueling Piano Bar

FUN!! Great service, awesome musicians that were incredibly talented. Our waitress was such a doll - she was dealing with 30 of our staff and gave fantastic service with a huge smile. This is an entertaining little hole in the wall that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to have fun in Chicago. The piano players really worked the audience and got to as many requests as possible given the tons of people who kept submitting them. Drink prices were reasonable and they had some fun beverage options. We all had a total blast!

I came here for my birthday a few weeks ago and had a great time!  We got there around 8:30 on a Friday night and the place was packed!  I had been there once before with my mom, my friend, and her mom.  There is a slightly older crowd but honestly there is a wide range of ages.  We (a group of early 20-somethings) ended up getting a table from a group of 60-somethings when they left.  Trust me, they were by far the oldest people there.

The drinks are somewhat expensive, but you're downtown, so they're going to cost that much.  They sell buckets of drinks for $25 a piece, which is the way to go.  They're 86 ounces so they're great to split.  We split four between four girls and we all had a great time and kept the cost fairly low.  A bucket of five beers was $20.  I'm not sure how much a single drink would be.

Tips:
1. Get there early!  Doors opened at 5:00, the show started at 6:00.  If you get there early enough, you can get a table no problem.
2. If you sign up for their e-mails you get an e-mail within 48 hours for free admission for two people.
3. Sign up to win a free party.  Everyone wins and the party includes free admission for you and 100 of your closest friends from 5-7 p.m., a free appetizer buffet from 5-7 p.m. and discounted drinks.  If you liked your experience and plan on coming back, I suggest doing this.

So disappointed, I was in town for a bachelorette party and we thought it would be fun to try a piano bar. One of the girls we were with had recently broken her ankle and had to use a scooter to get around. When we got there, the place was absolutely packed. The staff quickly accommodated our friend and helped her up the stairs. Not 10 minutes after we all paid $10 cover and got our drinks, one of the managers approached us and told us they wouldn't be able to accommodate our friend and she wouldn't be able to sit down. She was very rude and not understanding at all. We left immediately and will never ever go back there.
