I'd say more like 3.75 stars, if that was an option.
The hubs has been on this kick of trying places randomly, so flipping through Grub Hub, he said let's order from Italo's. Â Mmm, ok, sure, let's give it a whirl. Â Grub Hub has the wrong phone number for them, Yelp's got it right, btw.
So he ordered chicken parm, a large Caesar salad for the both of us, I ordered lasagna with meat sauce and really really wanted a cannoli but they don't have them. Â He said to the woman, aw, you broke my wife's heart. Â They said about 45 minutes and we waited.
The salad was tasty, the hubs' chicken was this gianormous package of three pieces and pasta which he said was good. Â Sadly they goofed on my order and sent lasagna with spinach (ack, cough, bleech....green things) but it was still pretty good after I slid the icky green stuff out. Â I wouldn't say it was blow-me-out-of-the-water Italian but it was good. Â Good enough to try them again.
The coolest part of the whole experience was that in the package was a hand written note apologizing for not having cannolis, hope the tiramisu we sent makes up for it. Â Very cool of them and totally unexpected. Â Wish I liked tiramisu, but at least the hubs does. Â Either way, the gesture was what mattered.
I'm sure we'll give them another whirl.
